Hello,
is there a way to have the microsoft bluetooth that is on the XDA II on the XDA III ?
Thanks
And my question is : Oh my god, why?
All users of XDA II wants to have another BT stack. We are trying to use Widcomm (Which is in the XDA III) or another else than M$, which is almost useles...
As mentioned by kopecek, why would you prefer Microsoft drivers?
Having had an XDA II which only had Microsoft Drivers, I love my new XDA IIs which comes with Widcomm/Broadcomm drivers. There are more profiles here that Microsoft does not have.
Microsoft does not support Handsfree profile for Bluetooth handsfree which was a real pain for those still stuck on Microsoft drivers.
Besides, you can do anything with the Widcomm drivers that Microsoft can do.
First of all (but I am ot sure it comes from the widcom drivers) people hear me less well on my car kit with my Qtek 9090 than with my Qtek 2020.
Second of all (and I know it is not very important but it makes me nervous !!!) everytime the bluetooth is in use it switch on the phone. And when I make a phone call and hang it up I always switch off my phone like that it is safe in my pocket. But with the headset profile of the widcom you have to wait 5 seconds after you hang up to switch it off. Same thing when I enter my car the phone switch on when it pair with the car kit....Not realy a big deal but I wanted to try if it was possible with the microsoft drivers wich where on the Qtek 2020.
That's my reasons...
I solved my problem by only pairing the Qtek with my car kit and don't create a Headset profile. Like that when I am using my phone out of my car the phone is not trying to search for a bluetooth device and when I am in my car it recognize the Qtek and use it to place calls.
I AM NOW OFFICIALLY TOTALY IN LOVE WITH MY PHONE !!!

I know this is for only XDA devices, & I tried searching but I didnt see anything except for 1 post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11128&highlight=nokia+car+kit
But I thought I might try you guys here.
I have posted on other HP related sites as well for the same problem.
This site was so usefull when I had my Siemens SX56.
The only thing I wanted to know is if anyone knows if there is any add on driver I can add to it to make the hp6315 bond with my nokia bluetooth carkit model # CARK112.
I cant seem to get it to bond?
I did get my Jabra BT200 to bond and work correctly.
This is what nokia says about it?
*Compatible phones must support the Bluetooth 1.1 specification and Handsfree profile.
As far as I know the hp 6315 doesn't support handsfree only headset?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
...have you tried the "explore a BT device" in the BT connection wizard, not the "handsfree/headset" set-up? I paired it together once & it worked fine...I do beleive this "widcomm stack of BT" supports handsfree...
BTW, after I added another headset (my SE HBH-65) it didn't connect again, but BT is funny/finicky doing multi-device connxns...
Nokia Carkit with HP6315??????
Thanks , I will try that I will let you know.
...another tip...even better tyhan the last one that I don't think is necessary if you use this one : when pairing h-set/handsfree device about half way thru the wizard hit the tools button (I think?) & it default-checks, "show only handsfree devices", uncheck that & you should now see the carkit show-up! This of course makes no sense since the carkit is a handsfree device but it seems to work so go with it...
thanks that did the trick!!!!!!
I just yest spent some extended time with CarKit (it in my wife's car) & it wasn't very reliable. After turning the car off & then back on it would not re-establish a pairing. After resetting both iPaq & carkit (turning off & on again, I'd go thru the wizard again & it would re-establish but would duplicate the carkit on the iPaq...
Has your kit been more reliable? (I have the nokia Cark112)
nokia car kit with ipaq
No. mine has been doing the same thing.
...ya, my work around has been to delete the previous carkit pairing & re-establish itself - a new one - obviously not great but workable if you need it...btw, every Nokia phone (even the newest ones) work fine with this kit...so who knows - I may get the Nokia 9500...
is there a way to listening mp3 from bluetooth headset?
which bt stack is the best?
i was using jabra bt258 and able to connect my old xda2 and xphone into the jabra.. so i could use one bt headset for both phone and connected all the time.
tried with xda2s and xphone2 and nothing like it works.. does anyone try it?
I don't think BT headsets were meant for MP3 playback. It won't work. FYI: i'm using a HP Bluetooth headphones with my IIs.. works fine. Occasional static/cutting depending on where my IIs is, but works for me.
Do a search and you'll find more information on this topic. I'm too lazy to search, otherwise i'd do it for you. :
BT headsets work fine to hear mp3 in PocketPC (non phone edition)
but it doesn´t work in Blue angel (or I can´t manage it)
I don´t know if it works in another phone edition
sorry
has anyone try with 2 handset and using one bluetooth only?
bluetooth headset for MP3s
just bought the XDA IIs, and upgraded the rom via the O2 website. I previously had the 6315, which sucked BUT it had the A2DP audio profile for bluetooth. A previous user described the fact that they own an HP headset and were able to listen to MP3s on the IIs. Previously i was able to do so on the 6315 w/ the jabra BT250. I want this ability on the IIs, how did you do it? Please be specific, and talk as if you're talking to a complete novice (YOU ARE, LOL). Thanking you in advance!
Re: bluetooth headset for MP3s
Any one got a follow-up for the problem?

do a search of XDA forums - i'm pretty sure it's been discussed.
my only concern is how efficient is this all going to be... don't know about headset, but the phone battery WILL crap out after a couple hours of BT usage... unless u have it cradled in a car or something...
I did some research last night but didn't find out the solution
I have a moto hs850 handfree.
how to use it for listening mp3?
It seems I have added 'A2DP audio profile for bluetooth'
but in the profile 'use hands-free for:
here only shows Telephone calls
is it right? I assume it should be have more option for me to choose

Hi Guys,
Recent got an XDA IIi after being with the older XDA II for over 16 Months.
But I have recently run into problems with my BT Car kit :
Motorola Bluetooth Car Kit HFW-8000.
Basically the problem is that it does not always connect to the Car Kit and when it does it will only from time to time connect and let me have a handfree conversation.
I have also used the Broadcom Bluetooth Cab file here in order to extend what Bluetooth Profiles that can be used but seems not to have any great bearing to stablize the issue.
So I went down the Hard Reset Road but again still intermittent issues, I then upgraded the ROM to the New one on the O2 Website the v 1.11.169 ROM.
I also had similar issues with the XDA II but it was resolved by using the Pocket Bluetooth tools, which was great and never once after installing it did I have any issues with the Car Kit.
http://www.bluetooth.jazztel.es/
One of my questions is, is there a similar programme to to above Pocket Bluetooth tools for the XDA IIi as I have tried it with the XDA IIi but does not work.
Or does anyone know how you would revert to have the XDA II radio or is there a work around for it.
Thanks Guys
Woody
Hi Woody_XDA,
I have had my XDA2i for a couple of months now and recently got a O2 blue headset for it, I had simular problems with the headset disconnecting and having to manually connect every time I switched it on. After browsing this wonderfull forum I decided to do a corperate install and get rid of the O2 active interface, since then no problems at all. I now use Pugs modified ROM version 162 with radio 1.04 and have no stability problems at all with no twice weekly reset. Hope this helps you and many thanks to Pug for his ROM.
Mace
Ditto, I also use the custom firmware with 1.04 radio and bluetooth works a charm. It still eats battery like nothing else, but it works with no problems. Also like the fact that the XDA can cope with my GPS receiver and my handsfree kit simultaneously, that's handy for in the car.
Cheers Guys for the information, took it on board and works great, did a great deal of stress testing in order to confirm it and works excellent..Thanks to PUG again and guys thanks for the info much appreciated and this is by far a great forum
Mace - you mention some bluetooth issues being resolved since you applied the custom ROM... I posted in the Alpine Applications forum here the other day a list of issues with bluetooth that I was wondering had been addressed - so far no reply - are these the symptoms that were cured for you??
Hi Bewlay Brother sorry, I missed your other post on Bluetooth issues, my original problem was that every time I switched on my BT headset , which is a O2 Blue, I had to open the BT manager and make the connection, the phone would then occasionally lose the connection and sometimes whilst still showing a connection refuse to transfer the call. This was using the official 162 ROM with the O2 active UI. I have since installed Pugs 162 ROM with radio1.04 and done a corporate install and BT seems to work perfectly, switch on the headset, it connects, never loses pairing and transfers calls.
Hope this helps you, and thanks again to Pug,
Mace.
Mace - what you describe sounds similar - my problems were essentially the loss of pairing with my Motorola headset a lot of the times when the XDAIIi switched off its display and went into stand-by mode, also if I closed the boom bike on the headset (to temporarily turn off the headset) it would fail to re-pair when I next opened the boom mike... the other issue was that I had to make sure the phone keyboard was displayed on the XDA once I had paired up otherwise the last number redial function on the headset would not work - if I pressed the dial button on headset and the phone display was not on the screen it would simply open the phone display function but fail to then dial the number - really crap. Also reception was poor to headset even over relatively short distances from the XDA. IF these areas in particular could be cured by the upgrade then I am eager to do it - I must admit I have read that this upgrade has not been without problems for some people here so it is going to be a tough call.
Just a thought, but have you done a personal or corporate install as I think the main fix with Pugs ROM was the upgrade to radio 1.04, which I don’t think affects the BT, so a corporate install with your existing ROM may make a difference.
Did a corporate install when it was new out of the box...
whats the difference between the corporate and personal install?
Corporate doesn't install ANY of the branded O2 interface - so no gubbins, nothing to slow down the phone, you just get a bog standard Windows Mobile 2003 SE installation, aside from the O2 GPRS and SMS settings. Bosh.
hi
i've been reading the posts and i have the same problem where can i get hold of pug's ROM if it's possible cos this seems to get rid of the problem
And then today, headset will not automatically connect, needing Bluetooth manager to be opened to make the connection. AARRRGH!
BT car kit problems
I have the 1.04 Radio, but it still won't sync with my 2003 BMW 325xi bluetooh or with my 2005 Acura MDX bluetooth.
Help!
Unstable Bluetooth Signal Strength - Samsung WEP200 Bluetooth Headset
Hi, I just got a Samsung WEP200 Bluetooth Headset. It would pair with my O2 XDAIIi but I cannot hear any voice in both incoming and outgoing calls. When I check the BT Manager, it shows a totally unstable BT strength that varies from very strong to very weak. The same headset worked well with other BT phones. My ROM version is 1.11.00 WWE, Radio version 1.04.00.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
my Diamond works ok with my Parrot bluetooth car kit. The only thing that is really anoying me, it takes veeeery long until the Diamond has established the connection to the car kit. I have to drive for several minutes! until the Diamond connects. Before I had a Sony Ericcson phone where I did not have this problem.
Any ideas? Is this just because the Diamond is a WM phone?? Or is there a way to improve this?
Thanks
I use my diamond with a Parrot CK3300 - not sure if that is the same as yours. I only use it for handsfree since I use the Diamond's own GPS receiver. I don't have this problem - it picks up and pairs within seconds.
Have you flashed the Parrot with the latest software? I found that improved performance considerably - automatic update of contacts, user name on screen rather than phone name etc.
I use the Parrot CK3100 and the pick is almost instant; I've barely got in the car and started it up and the Parrot has picked up my Diamond. It was just as quick on my Hermes device too.
I also have a CK3100 and here's somewhat the same problem.
It connects in a few seconds, and it's usable.
But the synchronisation takes forever.....
That doesn't bother me, becouse I'm quite long in my car when driving to work...
But:
The phonebook in my CK3100 starts with the numbers wich are saved on the SIMcard.
All my friends are saved on the internal memory of the TD.
So if i want to call 'Anouk': I press 'A' on the CK3100.
It starts with the 'A' from the SIMcard.
Then I have to use the turning wheel, to scroll BACKwards to "anouk'!
So this takes a lot of time.... and is very, very unpracticle.
Someone a solution for this?
As I said before flashing the latest software onto my Parrot made it much better for syncing contacts. But I only need do it once - after that it only checks for changes. It should not be syncing each time because the Parrot should store the contacts itself.
Yep, just check the Parrot website to see what the latest update is for your particular BT device and try applying it. Saying that, I've not updated my one from factory.
Unfortunately I was not able to update my Parrot so far. I have only a CK3000 Evolution, Firmware version 5.08C. I guess I would need this special serial flash cable...
@ swissly
i have the same problems fw months ago. you have to delete the partnership's on your CK3000. press the red and the green button for more the 3 sec. (Erasing in progress) if this is done you can create a new partnership. hope that helps.

Hello
For all of you who have a Parrot Bluetooth car kit listen up:
When you use any phone with any Parrot Bluetooth car kits please go to the Parrot support website to flash your car kit - http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/onlinehelpguides
This will update the device with the latest firmware and as Parrot continuly add new phones to their list it is must. I did it as soon as my HTC Diamond arrived and finds it pairs/syncs within 1 - 3 seconds of switching the car on. FYI I have a Parrot MK6100 device, which supports A2DP Bluetooth audio and is mint. Previous to this I had an SPV M700 and a Parrot CK3100-something, but same thing - update it and you will find it solves the problem(s).
- PLEASE HOWEVER READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON FLASHING - IT AIN'T HARD BUT READ IT ANYWAY!!! -
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I still think I CANNOT UPDATE my Parrot CK3000 Evolution WITHOUT THE PARROT SERIAL CABLE!

You are correct AFAIK. Most other Parrots can be updated easily using bluetooth, but not that one. Probably why it was cheaper than the others.
I've been having some issues with my Tilt and my car's hands free setup (see: http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board/message?board.id=cingular&message.id=105410). The problems seems to lie with the Microsoft bluetooth stack on WM 6.1. HTC is no help with this issue so I want to take matters into my own hands. Is there a way to replace the default Microsoft bluetooth stack with another, more reliable compatible stack from a reliable company (not Microsoft or HTC)? I don't want to get rid of my Tilt, but I need it to work right in my car. I'm thinking of staying away from purchasing WM 6.1 smartphones because of this.
frustrated...
Wow, no one has answered my post here, at ATT, at Kenwood, or on tiltsite. HTC answered only to tell me that compatibility doesn't necessarily mean that it would work (bs). This is very frustrating. I've read post all over xda developers and the rest of the internet about tilt bluetooth problems yet no one has an answer. I've completely giving up on trying to get bluetooth to work right with any of my devices (car, computer, etc). I can't imagine buying another HTC product. Good luck to everyone else out there struggling to get bluetooth to work on their tilt while the motorola, blackberry, lg, samsung, and other phone users watch with amazement and pity. Keep fighting the good fight. Hopefully one of you will win. I've completely lost!
That's a pretty strange story you've got there, because I have zero problems with my Tilt and bluetooth pairing to all manners of devices... on a regular basis, I connect my Tilt to my car's Pioneer stereo deck, to my laptop and desktop, and to my wireless headphones and I've had little to no difficulty. Actually, the easiest pairings so far have been between my Tilt and Pioneer Stereo Deck... At least for basic features - in order for the phone book entries to show on the deck's LCD display it required an upgrade from WinMo 6.0 to 6.1 and then in the deck itself I have to manually download the contact book. But that's the only troublesome thing I have to do, which is mostly an advanced feature any way that I could live (but prefer not to) without.
Sucks that you're having problems, all I can suggest is make sure you're doing everything properly... I've had no problems I couldn't overcome with my Tilt and bluetooth capable devices, especially since Windows Mobile 6.1 came out.
Hi,
I'm having the same problems, also when disconnecting from the BT carstereo after a phonecall, the device freezes up.
Anybody found a solution for this problem yet ?
Ny the way, my car stereo is a JVC KD-BT1
GRTZ,
Niels
@k4ever: Have you checked out this thread?

From what I can tell, they've ported the Widcomm BT stack to the Hermes and TyTN, so I imagine it's not far off from the Kaiser/TyTN-II, if it doesn't already work (my BT is working fine, so I'm not too likely to mes with my phone to find out-- but I hope this helps!)

EDIT: Here's a CAB from the newer threads of the above post:

Wow, thanks for the replies.
@ceosion
I got it working with a Pioneer deck in Best Buy. I was actually debating buying one, but I paid $500 for my Kenwood setup. All of my other phones work with it, to include other WM phone (not from HTC). I contacted Kenwood, but I have not recieved a reply.
@Weasel5i2
I tried the Widcomm stack when I used the stock ATT rom. It completely disabled bluetooth on the Tilt. I will try it with the PDA Corner rom I'm currently using (the best!) after the holiday weekend.
Thanks again for the replies!

I am experiencing Bluetooth connection issues between the Tytn2 and a kenwood DNX8220BT As far as I've heard from kenwood the Tytn2 is only supported with the older version of Windows Mobile (6.0)
I've also tried the Kenwood with my wife's Touch Diamond (Also HTC but other CPU, don't know about the BT radio though) but that one is also experiencing trouble. I didn't get any indication when they would have a new firmware version ready.
You did indicate that you also tried another WM phone, which version of WM does that one operate on?
@Mautje
The other WM phone was a Samsung Blackjack II running WM 5. I downgraded my Tilt to the default WM 6 Rom from ATT, but I had the same problems. I'm running the PDA Corner WM 6.1 Rom now. Does matter which ROM I use, I get the same results on the Tilt.
widcomm stack a no-go
I tried the Widcomm stack. It did not work at all. Kept getting error that "there was not enough memory to run, please reset device" or something to that nature. Could not uninstall so I had to re-flash my ROM. Back to square one.

To bad. I was also looking into the other roms on this forum but it wil probably not work..
Kenwood is reporting that it should work with the rom version mentioned in the compatibility sheet.
In the sheet for version 1.43 firmware there is no mention at all of a rom version just the Tytn2.. I guess that's the WM 6.0 version
