I just got me a O2 XDA IIs, and its stock as a rock so to speak, running factory software etc:
Rom: 1.31.00 WWE
Radio: 1.02.00
ExtRom: 1.31.920 WWE
Windows mobile 2003
Now i have never done something like this before so im totaly lost. I have looked through the forum but couldnt find a straight forward solution.
I would like to update the windows to Windows mobile 2005 atleast, and maybe tweak the rom?
If anyone could please post me links to threads to those two ?
Also if it makes any differance its the version made for Australia, as i read somewhere some ROM wont work with our system.
Any help at all would be most apreciated guys really.

i recommend you to take a look to the wiki. it have the needed info you need. check the wm5 for beguinners topic there, as the entire wm5 section for blueangel
i use this> Helmi_BA_WM2k5_AKU3.5_v1.4.VanillaVersion
basic but you can add what you need later.i,ve try all the other ver except kitchen..

I know that there is a WM6 for BA out there for a week, but have not tried out yet. Try search around here in this forum first for the WM5, which is very rich
There is NO WM6 for the XDAIIs (Blue Angel).
There are numerous WM5 ROMS for the BA though.

There is, and I have it as well, dude. Some Vietnamese at handheldvn.com forum are using it and discussing quite a bit on it. Myself have not tried it out, because I have no time for the moment.

Thanx a lot dude. but is that file is in english? i dont think so. and also it will work for my XDA IIS. and also in case of some trouble. should i downgrade to my old rom.? just let me know. i also have the old rom image.

The forum is in Vietnamese, but the ROM is entirely in English. I have seen some screen shots, and they are all English. Have fun, dude. I am waiting for a vacation when I can make change to this one
I doubt it is windows mobile 6, the guy has not shown the version in any of there screeshots and apart from that, one of the screenshot attached here , dats xplodes R5 screenshot
if i remember well...it was said that the new rom is about 64MBs...however you can download from the link mentioned a 34Mb file in which extrom folder contains a 7Mb camera template cab...

I was also quite doubtful there would be an R6 for our BA, but since I'm about to re-install it, I decided to download it and give it a try.
And I confirm that it's still WM5. Some of the icons have changed, but it's still the same old thing with some WM6 icons.
Some details:
OS build: 15706.3.5.2
the default device name = PDAViet. Which is a known ROM "builder" on the UNI Forum.
Need some more testing, but all and all it seems to be working.
So, maybe it's all new, but it may have a few elements you may care for.

Hey maaan, thanks a lot, this ROM is perfect... I have Upgraded it at about 30 minutes ago, and i'm trying it.... I think it is not WM5 with WM6 icons, because everything is like in WM6....perfect, wifi works (i have tried to find wifi-net, it found it in 2 seconds...), BT too (i have tried only with my USB-BT on PC, and connect it), GUI is beautiful, nice themes.... PERFECT....
only one thing is bad - there isn't any FILE EXPLORER, but you can install total commander with active sync and then you can search your SD card or memory Phone works too (I have 1.15 Radio ROM)
And one thing which i don't like (but i had got same problem with explode ROM too) : Camera has got one white pixel.... so big white dot on the photo but nevermind..... this is super ROM Thank you again buddy...
So, it is right, it is WM5 with really realistic WM6 Interface.... but still perfect ROM

yes thanks a lot. i also upgraded my O2 XDA IIS and its working perfect. great Rom . one little question. when i display my syatem info. its showing 96 MB ram instead of 127 Mb. and also. its not displaying any Extrom version.

Hah some noob has cooked my rom with my kitchen and now publish it as hes own how silly the people can be i know every bug which it may cause,i know the reason for the bugs (and solution to them) but it is too hard to fix them. We will see what the noob will do with my rom

when i was using 2003 on my O2 XDA IIS. i perform hard reset by pressing the top power button and the reset button. and now i have upgraded to wm2005 and again i am doing this. but it wont work. its only soft resetting. so anyone know how to perform hard reset. so i will get my registry setting to defaults. cause i made many mess in the registry for tweaking
my DeviceDate showed "PH20B WWE AT%CID 5.03.02 TuMa 1.15.00 4" can somebody tell me if this one is upgradable... current OS is wm5... please help.......! im planning to upgrade this to wm6... is this possible?

PH20b suggests a blue angel like M2000 or mda III, so probably yes, see the Wm6 link under this section as helmi just released a wm6 rom. but read the section first don't just blindly upgrade
i've got a really short question, will the wm6 roms work on a spv m1000? i'm not quite sure if all the different devices are all the same, so if i can install a wm6 rom on my spv m1000. it is a himalaya ph10a device...

Mine too, I use Sheckars WM6....works like a charm...and dont forget to install the smsfix

I have tried this ROM but as all I have tried I got the same problem.
ActiveSync 4.5 doesn't work with my SPV M1000...
If I downgrade to the original ROM, everything is ok.
My Computer say "unrecognize USB drive..."

hi all and thanx for all you guys for providing info on upgrading roms for the SPV M1000, any way my question is that i love using my spv m100 even tho i have the latest MDA touch PDA , but its screen is to small tho but the m1000 is a good bit of kit with good size screen, and so im wondering if i change my rom from its original state from mobile 2003 second edition to any of the roms listed in this forum, can i still use my Tom software navigator 6 along with think free navi gps, cus it works ok with 2003 edition just fine but i need to know if any of the roms stated will run it ok, also i have found that a lot of pocket pc software does not work on my device infact about 90%, so would any of these roms help? thanx to any one who can help us :>
i think its working..because many have asked for Backlight fixes after flashing WM6 and WM6.1
regarding the Programs not working...its because they were ment for WM2003..now it Wm 6.1..u shouldnt worry about getting softwares for WM 6.1 because almost all the softwares are for WM5 , WM6 , WM 6.1

I got a unlock T-mobile MDA Vario with a WM5 i wanted to upgrade it to WM6 in Dutch version, with the newest Rom etc etc..
This is the Extended Image version that i use now: 2.21.2.108
Where can i find the Dutch T-mobile version WM6 ?
And how can i upgrade it?

On this forum... enter on a thread called "a little tutorial" download everything you need ... Button ROM, wizard Love, lokywiz, your Rom in DUTCH and so important... an original ROM like tmo 2.26 or Tmo 3.08 and the radio of your wish ok?
You have a G3 wizard so the process will be in that thread... if you dont have or understand something ask there or here, dont do anything untill you get all the info and tools ok? read a lot and ask so much more...
to Dutch I recomend you the New Wizard ROM wm6.1 by GULLUM diamond with throttlelauncher in 13 languajes... we will keep in touch see you soon.
