Microsoft Mobile 2005 on Blue Angel - news

Anyone try updating the OS to CE 5.0 yet? I seen posts about others upgrading on the XDAII. Just wanted to know if anyone had success on the Blue Angel?

Blue Angel WM2005 is out! (BA Harrier)
QTEK 9090 has it.
If someone can get a hold of it, it will work on the rest of the
Blue Angels and Harriers.

I download this ROM and flush it but can't reset,don't know why will upload in wiki.

OK. I found this guy used i-mate EVDO 2.03.00 WWE ROM ,It's not WM5.0 ROM

The 2.03 is the first Harrier ROM that included WMP10,
discussed under many threads.
It has nothing to do with WM2005 (or WM5.0).

Yesterday I email to Dopod/Taiwan ask then if possible WM 5.0 will come out soon , they replay said no , and WM 5.0 will come with MDA IV in 3 Q of 2005

XDA2S, WM5 a must? or no?

hello i jsut got my hands on a xda2s, running:
1.40.00 WWE (o2 rom with mp10)
radio 1.12.00
my question is shal i upgrade to WM5 or keep it as WM4?
also if i decide WM5 isnt for me, can i revert back to orginal rom?
is mms supported in WM5 blueangel?
what would you recomend?

Although saying this, as I keep repeating in these types of posts, only upgrade or update if you feel comfortable doing it..
General Tips to you (and others)..
If you do want to update or upgrade then make sure you read everything through first.. Make sure you're happy in doing it.. Perhaps use the search function to read through others comments.. I would also recommend reading others comments about trying to downgrade from WM5 to WM2003SE to see what others have encountered
You will not believe the amount of people who end up posting questions when they've not followed the instructions from Wiki that I've pasted for you here..
Finally, if you are stuck, use the search command and describe your problem in the Keywords section, select Blue Angel from the Category and read through the posts relating to it before posting questions..

I've currently got WM5 and want to upgrade to WM6.
I've read the ROM upgrade threads and have the latest versions already in my K-JAM.
Is it as simple now as installing WM6 or is there anything additional to do?

Thanks for the reply. Reading the Wiki I've found out that its a G3. The rest of the versions follow according to the startup screen. Apologies, I should have posted these originally (I intended to but got distracted).

1.42 is only for t-mobile when i have o2
1.40 for o2 uk has a dead link (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_1.40.00_Upgrade)

i am having alot of problems with my XDA i dont know if its software or hardware problems

I'm a XDA IIs user who still use WM2003SE. The rom that I'm using is from O2 asia version. You can get it at www.mwg.com. The detail from the rom are as follows:
English ROM
ROM: 1.40.00 WWE
Date: 03/10/05
Radio: 1.12.00
Protocol: 1337.42
ExtROM: 1.40.923 WWE
MMS: 2.0.0.21
BT: 1.0.0 Build 3900

When i needed to downgrade to 2003SE a used a ROM called "BA_TMUK_14200_112_11300_Ship". It worked for me.

It didn't work for me. I got the message:
ERROR 120 COUNTRY ID ERROR
The rom image that you are trying to use is not designated to work with your device.
Please check the vendor web site and download the correct ROM update.
Click exit to quit.
Any suggestions would help.

My suggestion would be: read the wiki, search for this error on the forums and try again

I did. It's not an easy search to do and it took a lot of trys and reading to find the correct search words to use. Trust me, I'm not a novice of forums and search annoyances.

Maybe you are not familiar with this forum, but if you have read carefully the first link i gave you, you would have found it.
I know it seems cold when we say read the wiki, but in fact it is because 99% of the time the solution is there, and for me and for many others who have done it, we know: the wiki works.
I'm a completely newbie at WM and PPC and yet, following this forum and the knowledge on the wiki, i was able to do amazing things with my BA.

You're right, the answer is there. There's no disagreement there. But as I mentioned earlier I eventually found the answer at the 1.42 link you just posted. The problem is that it took about a day to find it over at wiki. I can't remember how I found it, possibly a google/yahoo search.
