The easiest way to access "Diag" mode is from the bootloader screen.
This post gives an excellent explanation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54156240&postcount=224

Sam,
Thanks for the thread, thats great. I did that now, and noticed that the phone simply boots normally when I select BP Tools. Do you know, does that mode require a custom boot loader? Is it possible that BP Tools is locked out in the stock boot loader?
Thanks again!

I'm not sure about that. Instead of selecting BP Tools, just see if you are able to communicate QPST from the bootloader screen itself.
You do have the Motorola drivers installed, right?
P.S. There is no custom bootloader. Recovery yes, but not bootloader...and recovery shouldn't matter.
Its starting to make sense, thanks for all the help so far. I found this post that really helped: http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/3...rint-moto-x-any-moto-g-cdma-to-reliance-cdma/
If this works out I will update my post with a how-to instead. Apparently when you select BP Mode the phone boots "normally" but has BP Mode enabled.
Thanks again!

[Q] It's all gone horribly wrong!

Its bad.....
Really bad.
Tried to install the boot loader .img file to help enter recovery mode on my Xperia Z1. It has been rooted and boot loader unlocked.
But now, I just get a SONY logo and nothing else, not even a safe mode.
Any ideas on how I can rectify this as the Flash tool does not even recognize the phone any more.
Cheers in advance.

Bootloop - Please help

Hi Guys,
Would appreciate some help, though I realise I may be out of luck. My device is rooted with twrp installed, I thought i'd lock my bootloader so that the new killswitch / device reset protection would have some use.
Basically, it's now stuck in a boot loop. I get a flashing teamwin (twrp) logo when I try to turn it on, that's all. Here's the kicker, I can't unlock my bootloader again because I didn't have "allow OEM unlock" ticked in the developer settings.
Anyone have any ideas? I don't care if I lose my data, just panicking right now.
My Thanks!
Someone smarter than I can tell you how to use fast boot to unlock your boot loader.
TLDR: someone can help you that someone is not me. Worry not.

Its locked. Wont unlock because allow OEM unlock in android is unchecked. This setting is crazy
Thanks for the replies guys, anyone else got suggestions? Would motorola fix this if I sent to them? I assume they must have some development tools or qualcomm software that could do it.

I would assume they could.
The same thing happened to me and I thought for sure I was completely shafted. Turns out you can get back into your device by doing the following:
fastboot format users
fastboot format cache
I then rebooted the phone and voila, back into Andriod where I can click that unlock setting off and try installing the custom recovery yet again.

Z3+ recovery mode issues

Custom binary blocked by FRP lock

Hello people.
So i got a custom recovery (TeamWin project). I disabled OEM Unlock on purpose, because i thought it wouldn't show the red line up in the bootscreen.
After trying to reboot, it wouldn't reboot, and i can't go into Recovery mode. I can't install any custom firmware too, because i've got the OEM Unlock set to "off"
Can someone please help, i can't find a topic similiar to my case, where i've bricked my phone and have no idea what to do.
Thanks to all those who are tying me to help <3.

As long as you can get it in the download mode you can use fastboot with a PC.

It doesn't recognize my device. I have tried every single tutorial found on google and still can't seem to unlock my bootloader.
Can't flash recovery nor the official stock firmware.

If you are on Windows you have to install the right (usb)driver.

No luck with that. I installed. Restarted my computer and device.
Went in to download mode and nothing shows up.
