Another Hotfix MDA III Ger.

Hi there,
there is another Update from T-Mobile Germany. You can find it here:

Device Data shows the following after upgrading
ROM: 1.22.01 GER
ROM Datum: 10/26/04
Radio Version: 1.06.00
Protokoll Version: 1337.38
ExtROM Version: 1.22.182 GER
BT-PPC/PE Version: 1.0.0.3500
There is still no update from TM that works for my device (without camera). Is ist possible, to upgrade with this allthough?

Updating radio only

Hi,
I own an O2 Xda IIi.
ROM: 1.11.00 WWE
Radio: 1.00.00
Protocol: 1337.39
EROM: 1.11.923 WWE
I plan to upgrade only the radio part to the latest version using the procedure and files described here.
Can anyone tell me please if the radio upgrade will generate/requires a hard reset? Can I simply update teh radion and go on as before without going through the backup-restore procedure?

you can download from here and please delete ms_.nbf and nk.nbf to upgrade only your radio ROM.... please backup before upgrading....... thanks

I think I'm going blind...?

I noticed my Rom is as follows:-
Rom: 2.17.7.2 WWE
Rom date: 2/10/06
Radio: 02.07.10
protocol: 413.1.03
ExtRom: 1.3.2.102
I think the Rom, and radio is the latest.
is the protocol?
Also I cannot seem to find the ExtRom 2.17 on the FTP... I can see the 2.18 , am i going blind?
I know it exists because another wizard I have has the 2.17 extrom

ROM version 1.42.00 stripped of T-Mobile cabs

I've uploaded to ftp a custom ROM (BA_TMUK_14200_112_11500_Stripped.rar), based on BA_TMUK_14200_112_11300_Ship.exe, with the following changes:
- Radio ROM (radio_.nbf) was replaced by version 1.15
- Extended ROM (ms_.nbf) was stripped of T-Mobile customization cabs and the splash screen was changed to Qtek.
These last changes were made using the tool on this thread.

You may notice that to play on the safe side, I've also removed the TPDisable.exe.
If you find this useful, just run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, wait for the country error, and run it again. This was successfully run on a Qtek 9090 (PH20B 0 B WWE E DANGA001 1.42.00 0 0 1.42.112 1.15.00 15.00).

I'm currently using O2 Asia 1.41 ROM, and though I have often wondered, I have no idea what fixes/patches/upgrades/etc. have become available with the release of 1.42, as there is no O2 Asia 1.42 for BA.
Would this modified 1.42 ROM be a decent choice for me, one that I might still be familiar and comfortable with?

Well, I can't give you a straight answer, but you can find the version of the extended rom cabs on this page.
Also, there might be some O2 customization cabs on your current Extended rom. You can view the contents of your extended rom, using the unlock tool on this page. I suppose you could backup your current O2 cabs, install this update, and then add the O2 cabs to the new extended rom. You should read the wiki to have a better understanding on how to do this.
