Activesync stops working! - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Hi all,
Recently began activesync via BT & all was good. Put it into cradle, the IIs will sync as usual. Version of AS is 4.0 so no AS via WiFi.
Past few days, activesync suddenly stops working! Pocket PC USB sync is detected when put in cradle, using BT in IIs detects & connect to my laptop yet no syncing took place .
What i have tried:
- Ensure no new software was installed to my IIs;
- Uninstalled & reinstalled AS Ver 4.0;
- Uninstalled & reinstalled AS Ver 3.8;
Short of a hard-reset, i still can't get my IIs to sync over AS.
Suggestions pls. TIA.

My recent experience
Assuming you have a backup of your synced information, try deleting your activesync relationship with your computer. Restart your computer and reestablish a new activesync relationship. This fixed my problem of not being able to sync via usb or bluetooth after my first bluetooth connection somehow crashed my ability to sync. Everything works great now. Another mystery of the electron somehow solved...

Not Synching, Please help

Hello,
I got my Kaiser on Sep. 10th and have been learning it since. I am new to Windows Mobile (using 6). I have previous experience with Palm software (Treo 650 last & first PDA).
I have not been able to synch my PC to the Kaiser to yet. Synching pictures, music, TV is not an issue because Windows Media Player is working. It's the Contacts, Notes, Tasks that I cannot synch.
When I open the Windows Mobile Device Center the Connection Settings window opens up with the Allow USB & Bluetooth Connections radio buttons. When I hit OK with both Radio buttons selected (USB & Bluetooth), that's it, the window closes and there's no Windows Mobile Device Center that opens up. Task Manager shows no open Windows Mobile Device Center application but does show a Windows Mobile Device Center process, wmdcBase.exe.
What am I missing here? Please help, 4 days & I still do not have my Contacts in this phone.
Thanks,
Phil
Check your firewall. I was having problems, getting stuck on synchronizing and never getting pass that. Funny thing is that my Tmobile wing was working just fine, but when I plugged in the Tytn II, it wouldn't sync.
I got that problem once, when I installed the ActiveSync 4.5.
The Kaiser could not synch with the PC (WinXP).
Here what I did :
- Unplug the Kaiser
- Reinstall ActiveSync 4.5
- Reboot PC
- Soft-Reset the Kaiser
- After both booted up
- Connect the Kaiser to the USB
- Wait ... and wait ! Sometimes it slow
- Finally, it synched

Card Export II stopped working

Hi all,
Earlier today I tried to connect my Kaiser to my PC as a storage device, using Card Export II v3.06 registered version (and eventually tried v3.07)
But for some reason it has stopped working (always worked perfectly before), despite
several installs and uninstalls
soft resets (in general and in between (un)installing)
changing battery recharging over USB settings
changing Advanced Networking over USB settings
Installing WM5torage v1.8 did not solve my problem. (Kaiser popped up on computer but did not display any data)
Here's what I get when using Card Export:
I press 'connect' in Card Export II and connect USB afterwards
I hear XP recognizing a new device (device is known and installed before on the PC - makes characteristic sound)
After 1 sec XP makes the 'device disconnected' sound.
Card Export automatically switches back to 'Connect' without displaying any errors
Activesync connects without any issues to my PC
Any ideas? thx anyway...
yeah. I have an idea.
did You pay for this great prog?
I've read somewhere, that it tends to act this way if it's cracked.
so... do as I did. pay for it. always support developers of apps You are using. I have a sce II 3.07 and didn't have any problems with it ever. it just simply works.

Help! Diamond not connecting with Win Mobile Device Center

Hi all,
My HTC diamond that used to sync with active sync on win xp wont connect to my visat home premium laptop.
I've tried tweaking the firewall (even turning it off) and still no luck - both norton and windows firewall
Tried the dvmgmt.msc things too with no luck
Any other ideas??
anyone?
I found that problem too.
Go to task manager and close instances of mobile device centre and Windows Media as this seems to play havoc with USB sync.
Take your device off of the USB cable, fire up a fresh instance of WINMO device centre and it should detect it (after selecting 'ActiveSync' on your device).
Good luck
Jamie
what I have had to do is delete the diamond profile with out the diamond connected. restart your diamond then reconnect. I think it is a problem between activesynch in xp and winmo in vista. But I have kaiser which I use for work and I have no problems connecting to activesynch or winmo.. go figure...also if you have tasks selected it won't finish synching for some reason god knows why.......
Worked for me
Try going into the "USB to PC" settings on your phone and unchecking "Advanced Network Functionality". I couldn't connect in vista before disabling that.
Hello,
I've never managed to get my Diamond sync'd with my Vista laptop using a cable but if I use bluetooth then it always seems to connect so if you have bluetooth on your pc then i'd try that and see if it works.
I tried all the usual fixes including those listed above me and none of them worked. Then I read somewhere to uninstall device center go to microsoft and dl the latest version and then install it with the phone connected. That one worked.
How do you delete the profile? will I lose data doing so? same issue with my Touch Pro. uninstalled WMDC re-installed it. re-set all of the TP settings to factory(without restoring). Still doesn't work. Any other ideas?

Sync- and Bluetooth-Problems with XDA Diamond

Hello,
i bought a new o2 XDA Diamond a few days ago and right after charging the battery i downloaded an actual original ROM from o2-Website an flashed the device.
My first Problem is, that PIM-changes on my XDA are not recognized directly by ActiveSync on my Computer exept „Memos“. When i add a new Appointment or a new Contact on my XDA, nothing happens on ActiveSync. But when i add a new Memo on my XDA, ActiveSync starts working directly an synchronizes all: Appointments, Contacts and Memos. Changes on the Computer, whatever, are transmitted directly! Starting Sync manually both on my XDA and on ActiveSync works fine! In the Active Sync Options Menü there is a Settings-Command. In the Settings-Window there is only my PC listet. As far as i can remember there should be my mobile device too, right?
When i re-setup the partnership without any checkmarks and check the checkmarks on „Memos“ after the first sync, ActiveSync asks me what to do: Combining Elements, Replace on Computer or Replace on Mobile Device. This Dialog appears NOT when i check the checkmarks of Contacts and Appointments!
I tried unsuccessfully several hard resets...tried different USB-Jacks, Self-Powered USB-Hub, disabling Windows Firewall, deinstalling Antivirus(Avast)…On my Laptop(XP) with a fresh Outlook-Database: the same behavior. 3 full days of frustrating attemps so far!
My second problem ist a serial port issue with Bluetooth. I have another phone that is connecting fine via Bluetooth, 2 serial ports(1 incoming/1 outgoing) are installed automatically when pairing the device the first time and i can sync with outlook without problems via bluetooth. The XDA is only installing a „Bluetooth Peripheral Device“ and a „Standardmodem über Bluetooth Verbindung“ when pairing the first time. So i have no virtual serial ports available and the XDA does not list any Bluetooth profiles when i try to fetch the available profiles from the paired device. I cannot connect to ActiveSync via Bluetooth(XDA says that it cannot found an existing Bluetooth-Partnership with an ActiveSync-supporting Computer and asks me for setting up a partnership, but there IS a partnership between XDA and Computer!) and tried 2 different Bluetooth-Sticks so far , but both work with MS Bluetooth-Stack. The newer one is a Logilink BT007 which works fine with my old mobile phone.
Thanks in advance,
MoreFett
