Ok. So here's the next silly question.
I have now successfully upgraded my xda2s to the new o2 1.4 ROM with BB Connect.
Can I put a work Vodafone sim into the 2s and use the Blackberry account attached to it, or can I only use an o2 associated account?
Cheers.
Any ideas guys?
Cheers

Okay this is how I have blackberry connect working on T-Mobile USA tmobile MDA
1* downgraded to tmobile de 1.06 rom
2* installed BBerry connect software from TMo De
3* logged into my tmobile changed my phone to a bberry 7100 and clicked change hanheld, the pin was autopopulated for my new device.
4* sent service books.
Here is the thing, the 1.06 rom blows hard chunks and is unusable compared to the 2.26 rom.
my question is , has anyone been able to use any other rom besides the tmo de rom from back in the day?
how about the cheetahs BBery connect software?
I know there is another thread on this but it is Uber long and is filled with more questions than answers, so if you know please post here and dont ask too many questions.
My setup worked with BIS I dont use BES.
I've been using Qtek 2.17 with 2.47 radio. Working without a problem so far. My service provider is Tmobile as well.
It won't allow me to send an attachment over 60k though, and I can't download most of the attachment, some kind of error. What's your experience with the rom that u've been using as far as attachments are concerned?
I don't use it anymore cause I had the same problem as you, I was wondering if there was any clear progress in this project
Has anyone managed to get the Vodafone Business Email service working after an upgrade to WM6?
Vodafone are currently telling me my account isn't enabled for the VBE service (strange, it was last week!) which is adding confusion.
I am NOT connecting to an exchange server, but to a pop3 email account, if that makes a difference.
David
For posterity:
Vodafone seem to have sorted the problem at their end. Without changing anything on the device, tried connecting to the service again a few weeks back and now all is working OK.
So, to confirm, Treo 750v WM6 Vodafone Business Email ( vbe ) all compatible.

Hi there
I'm due for an upgrade (got a HTC Wizard @ mo) and wanting to avoid carrying mobile & blackberry - have read that I can put BB Connect on Kaiser and this seems a good option.
My question is - work use Vodafone for BES - but do I need to be on the same network or can I stay with Orange and get BES activated on my account? I use my personal phone (had same number for years!) and just bill the company back - so would prefer to stay with Orange (for call plan) if possible.
Have asked Orange (UK) and they couldn't give me an answer that made sense, so thought I'd ask here!
Thanks for any help
Dan

Your Kaiser can work as a blackberry if you install BlackBerry Connect 4 on your device. Regarding the SIM card, it has to be the one given by your Blackberry service provider. I mean if you use Orange for the phone, and if Orange is not you blackberry provider (it shouldn't be) then you will have to put the blackberry SIM card in your Kaiser and use another phone for your Orange SIM card (I know blackberry can also provide the phone functionality if you ask it and of course pay for it...).
I know you can put two SIM cards in your Kaiser using a specific tool (the brand name is SIMORE) but I don't know if it works with the Blackberry SIM cards (all I know is that is does not work with 3G ...).
thanks for the reply - what do you mean when you say that Orange shouldn't be my blackberry supplier?
surely i can get phone & blackberry on the same sim card, rather than use 2 sims?
not sure if i have an answer to the question yet either. to receive work e-mail do i need to be on the same network (i.e. vodafone) or can i be on a different one (e.g. orange)?
thanks

BB Connect comes on the application disk and is running on my Stellar right now. Obviously you have to tell O2 you want a Blackberry tariff before it will work.
I've had it running since I got my phone on Friday and my only complaints so far are that it didn't pull down all my old emails off the server like my 'real' Blackberry did/does and it appears you have to go through the Blackberry Internet Explorer shortcut to browse the web.
Blackberry tariff is £10 a month for (allegedly) unlimited email and browsing, though I suspect there is a FUP of 200meg, like on the data bolt on.
Hi,
Just got my Diamond and am over in Ireland. But I'm having trouble getting my emails.
I went through the setup on screen to create the accound for my gmail and I successfully got my mails through my Wifi at home, but when I'm away I can't seem to get it to download them?
The vodafone shop said I have a 3G card? I am on PAYG, but I should be able to connect?
Is there some setting I could be missing?
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks...
PS, I've only had the phone about 2 days, not had time to get new ROM, still on original one, 1.37 I think!
DG.
Hello,
Since a couple of days i have a T5388++ dual sim with WM6.5.
I have ROM c03.021.01 eng
So far I am satisfied, but there is one thing i cannot get to work.
My internet (Vodafone Live from the Netherlands) will not work.
I have tried the settings from the vodafone site, with and without proxy, but there is no connection.
I have selected the good sim.
I hope some one can help me with this.
There is a second thing:
In programs there were 2 icons for the SIM cards, where some settings could be made for sms mms and things like that.
I have only one icon now, but both sims work perfectly. Is this a known problem?
Thank you
Erik de Wit
I've got the same problem, with some of the rom's it seems impossible to connect to Vodafone Live. For example the NL Cheetah 3.5 rom.
With other roms it is possible to download the configuration for Vodafone business or Vodafone NL, with this one the option business disapears. (This only show up when you try to download te connection setting from the menu "Instellingen-Gegevensverbinding).
Is there anyone with a Vodafone business contract that can connect with Vodafone Live on a WM6.5 rom?
As far as I know, Diamond2 does not have dual SIM...
T5388++ looks like... another clone...

i can witch my own rom, but i use a topaz, not a clone (not really relevant, it has to be related to the rom, no to the model) and i add all VLive stuff from the original rom when i cook

Hello Erik,
I see you have the same phone like me and a newer firmware version. Can you verify the number because I have c03.020.01 eng which looks very simular? Do you know where to download the firmware?
