Is the midlet manager installed? If not, look for that Intent Midlet Manager Risidoro has posted.....
Yes, that did it. Thanks.

is there any way to create a shortcut to a java app with out having to launch the java app then launching opera mini. i'd like to have a shortcut in programs that just loads opera mini up.
thanks for any help
you just need to create a shortcut like this :
51#"\Windows\jbed.exe" -run s0_
if Opera mini is the 1st java app, if it is the 2nd replace s0_ by s1 .....
Making a direct shortcut to Opera Mini (or any other Java Midlet)
I found a post HERE but couldnt get it to work on my xda orbit. If you can get it to work could you let me know?

I'm feeling like a noob here. Can someone please explain how to make that shortcut?
go to this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ighlight=Opera
download the opera mini and selector link...copy and save the opera mini link to windows/start menu/programs folder then copy the selector file to windows/Appdb folder then you'll be able to set the Interenet explorer button in button settings to opera...this is also assuming you are using jbed java midlet...i'm not sure if it works on other java midlet managers...cheers...
Thanks to StrikeIII - answered this very same question for me. Just giving back

Thanks for your input, webdk. Unfortunately, the above link is not found. I eventually found the answer here:

Just install the Cloudyfa Jbed (unless you have a non-Western regional setting; then, you'll need to use the previous, 2.1 version I've recently reviewed) and you're set. Read the MIDlet Bible for more info (Wiki!).
cool cheers - installed jbed , works great! if only i could get rid of the other manager i feel dirty with it still installed lol

you can't as it's in the ROM. Unless someone cooks a ROM ONLY having Jbed; then, you won't have it in the ROM any more.
btw, having TAO in the ROM has no bad consequences at all because it won't be activated when you click a JAR / JAD file - except for the storage usage.
sorry friend i have installed dutty rom but there isn't java midlet and i can't install any *.jar file as opera mini
Where i can download it? (java midlet for wm6)
MY best regards
Francesco
Check Dutty's CAB-Collection (http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/index.php?path=Kaiser+Cab+Collections/). For example use Intent_MIDlet_manager.cab.
Read the MIDlet Bible:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=339577
and the guide to 3D java gaming on Windows Mobile:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde...ing 3D-enabled Java MIDlets on Windows Mobile
(both credit to Menneisyys) and you'll find all the answers you'll need.
My suggestion? Use the modified version of Joedek with M3G support (it's around here somewhere, use that search function) for any 3D games and Jbed for non-3D java midlets such as Opera Mini 4. Good luck.
