Just been looking at this page ... I think some of the info may be helpful in solving the PDA2k (and maybe other models) Bluetooth Audio Gateway problem.
My question is how would I execute these commands? Would I need to build an application or could I do it via an application that already exists?

Hi,
To be able to enable the GPS on Hermes, a couple of things still need to be researched. One of those is what kind of AT commands are being sent to the Radio ROM to properly initialize the GPS ([email protected] etc.).
On the Hermes, the AT commands (and the resulting NMEA output) can be observed using the HTC AtDbgLog feature. I'm not sure whether the Trinity has the AtDbgLog feature as well, but if it has, somebody with a Trinity should be able to capture the actual [email protected] and related commands.
I would be very grateful if somebody with a Trinity could test the following:
1. Add the following registry keys
\HKLM\Software\HTC\ATDebugLog\Enable=1 for logging
\HKLM\Software\HTC\ATDebugLog\LogMode=1 for logging into file
2. Soft reset (wait a minute or so first to be sure the changes are persisted)
3. Use the GPS with navigation software for a few minutes
and post the results from the \Temp\AtDbg0.txt logfile? (Note: the logfile should first be copied to the device before you can copy it to Windows)
It can be disabled by removing the registry keys again and soft resetting
Bump... can anybody with a Trinity please do a quick check on this? It would really help both Trinity and Hermes users in figuring out the way the Trinity ROM is controlling the GPS!
Cheers
there are only two gps commands - [email protected] and [email protected]. Os do not do any special initialization of gps. Could not provide you with logs 'cause for some reasons i prefer not to publish my gps coords but you can beleve me - nothing interesting there: [email protected] / [email protected] do exactly what they sound for.
I don't know if i'm missing something here, but the bluetooth manager folder in file explorer seems useless. It never finds any of my devices and i have no idea why. It says searching but can't find anything. It can't find my 8525 when it' on and visible. Does the 8525 have to have this for it to work? If not, how can i get it working? Thanks

I had problems with this too, couldn't find the receiver device when trying to send a file.
This worked for me:
You have to do kinda "shake hands" of the devices the first time.
Goto Start menu -> settings -> connections -> bluetooth -> devices -> add new device
(could be named a little bit different, I translated from my german device)
You will be asked for a password. I normally use 0000 (standard BT password), even if it's not the savest way I think
The other device will recognize this and also askes for the password.
Once the device is mentioned in the devices list, sending and receiving to/from it will be possible.
I hope this was what you asked for.

My problem
I have done the whole pairing thing but when i do the discover services it say no services found and it's not connected please advise
u need to go in the BT configuration and under FTP tab check the Enable File Sharing.
For some reason or maybe for me only, this settings does not stick, and I have to do it anytime I want to exchange files. But once I tick the box, I am able to transfer files, contacts and such.
On the same FTP page you can choose to activate the BT explorer. This will browse other BT enabled phones ?! I guess. More like BT jacking?!
is there a cab for the BT Explorer as it is not cooked into the rom I have ??
hi,
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and I wanted to do OBEX file transfer through bluetooth by accessing my HTC S730 drive (I am able to do in my old Nokia 6280). However, I failed to do so. Do HTC S730 does not provie OBEX file transfer? or, is there any other way? I will hoping your warm reply. Thanks
OBEX
Do you look close enought? There is a option named OBEX File Transfer in Bluetooth-Options, enabling the Bluetooth-Explorer and share files in specific folder...
You have to take a look into your BT-Settings...and enable incoming beams...and dont ask me...
I dont know too much about it myself but if the phones BT is more up to date than your old phone you might need to update the software you are using to push?
Dont think Nokia runs WM so it might have functioned a little differently in their OS...
didn't read any of the posts:

The value on the registry of my phone is 1. BTW, I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 and I am having difficulty on accessing my HTC S730 drive through my computer. But I am able to do same thing to my older Nokia phone. So my query is whether such feature is supported by WM6 or not? If my question is not clear, I will elaborate it further. Thanks for the reply.
What do you want to do?
What is it that you want to do? Browse the files on your S730 using Bluetooth? Send/Recieve specific files?
Since it is Linux and not Windows the phone might not be syncing properly, or might not be set up to browes the way your after through blue tooth alone...
Hey guys and girls,
I am am about to give up on my search for a working, cisco compatible, VPN client for Windows Mobile 6 on my Kaiser.
After some research I found out that one of the following clients should work with Cisco networks: MovianVPN, BluefireVPN and AnthaVPN.
Got myself a copy of each software, but none works.
MovianVPN v4.01 - most promissing, cause Cisco profiles can be directly importet. but it seems to be only for WinMo2003. Installations works without problems, but afterwards you can't start the client.
BluefireVPN v2.1.1 - installation doesn't even work
AnthaVPN v7.5 - installation without problems, client runs without problems, but: after installation the Kaiser can't establish a w-lan connetion anymore (not at all! even when Antha isn't running) Antha installs an own weird w-lan driver, which seems to mess things up
Please! I am close to madness. There must be someone out there wo knows a way how to connect to Cisco VPN with the Kaiser!
Thanks for any helpfull answer in advance!
regards,

NCP Secure
Hi,
I have used NCP secure to connect to a cisco VPN, here are a few links:
Compatability List: http://english.cyprotect.com/main0182.php(check for kaiser, it's mentioned somewhere)
NCP Secure Link: http://www.ncp.de/en.html
Hope this helps...
AnthaVPN support - nice try... but, ...nope
AnthaVPN support just sent me the following:
>>
Check this option from a forum:
After installing anthaVPN and change the registry entro from "2" -> "1" WIFI works correct.
HKLM\Comm\TNETW12511\Parms\HTCPowermode=1
<<
I looked at the registry, but had to find out that this entry was already set to "1" at my device.
it sounded so promising...
NCP Security Client...
Hey Reaper,
thanks for the advice! Installation of NCP was no problem. Everything seems to work fine afterwards.
But I have some trouble converting my Cisco profiles to NCP. NCP doesn't accept /convert the Cisco profiles (.pcf). I tried to create a new NCP profile with the information I got out of the Cisco ones. This is all the information that was in there:
Host
GroupName
GroupPWD
(after connection Cisco asks me for my personal login name and pwd)
I tried to bring these informations into a NCP profile, but it didn't work. Can you tell me how I must create the NCP profile?
Thanks,
cartonneexpress
By the way, I'm still open for other suggestions! Especially how to get MovianVPN working. Cause I could use the existing .pcf profile with it! Isn't there a coder out there who knows how to get a WinMo2003 programm running on 6.1?
