LOL
My XDA2i all of a sudden reported "No Service" on the connections tab & BlackBerry client couldn't connect BUT someone sent me an SMS!! I tested this by sending some out & that worked fine.
However, no voice calls in or out.
No BlackBerry
No GPRS normal
Did the usuals such as hard reset etc but no joy.
It's getting swapped out for a new one tomorrow but anyone else ever had this?
Weird!

I flashed my AT&T Tilt with HTC ROM. I reinstalled everything. Something wrong with Skype 2.2, I can sign in and make calls. However, after 30 seconds of conversation of each call, call discounted.
I have no problem when using Wifi connection. I got problem only with AT&T 3G connection. However, I have no problem using 3G connection for normal internet access/ browsing.
Do you know what could be the problem? Please help.
Problem solved: It is a problem of data connection. I disabled the "Disconnect After" under Data (GPRS/EDGE/HSPDA) in the Kaiser Tweak to "Disabled" Since then, Skype works perfectly.

I had a problem with Skype connecting at all intially, change my wireless setting from isp.cingular to wap.cingular and it worked like a charm. However, as of today the same issue of not connecting to the internet (only in skype) has returned even with wap.cingular. Thoughts? I am wondering if a setting on AT&T's end has changed...
What versión of Skype you use in the káiser?
Hello, after some time I experienced strange problem with my TyTn II. Some of incoming calls are redirected to voicebox even if the phone seems to be connected to the network. Moreover, I almost cant connect via 3G to the internet. It tries to connect than returns the message "called modem disconnected". The internet icon changes to something like two arrows with X. It connects sometimes but the internet seems to be quite slow and it disconnects after some time with the some message. Sometimes but rarely, the outgoing calls are not working as well (without any message, just "calling" changed to "end of call" message). Sometimes the phone looses signal in the area where definitely is a good signal. All other functions are absolutely perfect, SMS including.
Anybody experienced such issue ?
I made hard reset but it didnt help. I tested the phone in different places. I am using original ROM and new SIM card which work perfect in other phones. I have never flashed the ROM, never bathed my phone in the beer, nothing bad happened to it
I sent it to HTC service but they have returned it after one month with the message saying that during troubleshooting they didnt experience any problems so they just rewritten the original software in the phone. It was ok than for 2 weeks but now all problems returned again.
If you have any hint or have the same experience, please let me know. Thanks
Try switching to GSM only (no 3G) mode.
If it works there, it's most likely hardware fault.
my att tilt was working fine, now i cannot access internet and the 3g symbol is gone from signal bar. i have tried soft reset a few times and removed battery still nothing, any ideas?
thanks
magically started working all by itself!
I've got the H symbol, but will not connect
albany problems too
I'm in Albany, NY.
I tried to tether my tilt and use the internet shareing program which has worked perfectly in the past and i could not connect. I tried the "connection settup" program just in case i accidentally messed up the proxy settings or something.
still not working.
can't connect to the internet or send and recieve mail.
i can make and receive calls... but thats it.
spoke to a business partner of mine and they use iPhones. One of his applications that requires internet is not working either... it could be more apps... he hasn't tested as much.
WHAT'S GOING ON AT&T!? please don't tell me we are having an at&t blackout like some other parts of the country has!!
Mine just started working... I think... When it loaded google.com the phone froze up
I'm back up, but was down for 3 hours this morning here in St Louis, MO.
OK, now I have to figure out why PIE locks up the phone
this can be the reason:
AT&T suffering a data outage, again
http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/01/06/att-suffering-a-data-outage-again/
I called up customer service and got $2 back on my current balance. Tried to get rollover minutes, no luck.
What's the difference in the H and G icons? I always have H or E but never G.
My friend's Moto X just arrived. Extremely stoked about this awesome phone, but he ran into a weird problem. It would not send an MMS picture message without first disconnecting from his home network (WiFi). I did some research and came up with this post: MMS wont's send when on WiFi from this forum. It was for an S4 on VZ, so I wanted to post in the Moto X community the following hack that worked for ATT as well:
Send yourself a picture from your Gmail account that's associated with your phone, and it will work itself out. Once you have received the e-mail on the phone, MMS will work even when connected to WiFi.
I understand that MMS messages don't actually transmit via WiFi as they still go out over the data network. Therefore, you must have sufficient data coverage for the MMS to send. Another setting to check if this doesn't work is that the "Data enabled" box is checked under Settings > more (under Wifi/Bluetooth) > Mobile Networks while you are on WiFi.
Hope this helps anyone else out.
I think that's a Verizon (or maybe a CDMA) thing. My Verizon phones do what you described. My T-Mobile phone sends text and MMS while connected to Wi-Fi calling, which appears to disable the phone radio. Unless it's using data without indicating it to me.

had this issue and sending the gmail email worked like a charm. thanks so much OP. Been looking for a solution for a little while but hadn't come across anything.
instructions: Send an email from your you gmail account on your phone to the gmail account on your phone with an attached picture. Then you will be able to send MMS while connected to a wifi network. IN other words. open up gmail on your phone. send an email to yourself with an attached picture. issue solved.
Anyone else having issues with the service today? I can not get a connection at all.
Mine has been dropping in and out and there is a big lag for sending texts, receiving seems to be fine. I thought it was my work firewall, but it sounds like it may just be the service.
I've experienced this as well. Haven't been able to connect at work for the past few days (fri, then yesterday & today). It did previously work on my office network and I'm buddies w/ the IT director and nothing has changed in their firewall config for the past few months. It does seem to connect at home, but is slow to update and still loses connection frequently.
