Hi, don´t you know why is impossible to map home and back button? For example to start or something? And how to disable that touchflo keyboard selection menu? Thenks fotr all advices.

I used to be able to click on the small up arrow just to the right of the keyboad symbol at the bottom of the screen. A menu would appear for me to select a keyboard.
Recently I can only select the "windows" keyboard. Even if I go to input settings in windows I can see the other keyboard options but it instantly puts it back to "keyboard" !!!
anyone know how to stop this?

When I am using keybord (not full qwerty) I am not able to get either contact suggestions o wordsuggestions to work.
The same apply with downloaded Resco keybord.
Any suggestions?

i have a at&t fuze and on my stock rom and many other pressing Fn+Space would bring up the symbol menu.
however i am running Da_Gs latest 6.5 and Fn+Space does nothing.
any help?
hopefully a cab or regedit rather than reflashing

no, the problem is not my keyboard layout- the problem is the symbols menu just isn't on my phone. all other Fn commands work fine
did you disable xt9 to bring back the old word suggestion?

i didn't cook in HTC eZ input keyboards, because i don't want them.
if i do cook them in however i get the symbols- it seems the symbols are a part of the HTC keyboards :\
i've been trying forever to find a way to get the symbols without the htc keyboards, can't seem to find answers
Can anyone tell me how to do this on the Sprint stock ROM? I've been trying to find the answer to this question as well, it "says" on the keyboard in yellow that SYM is the key to the left of the space bar but NO keyboard combination I've pressed invokes the symbols menu.

I've once lost symbols keypad when I've changed registry entry
"HKLM\System\currentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409\Ime File"
from "\windows\eT9ime.dll" to "\windows\compime.dll".
So you might try just to cook "eT9ime.dll" and verify that above entry
points this file, instead of cooking whole EzInput...
This worked for me : Edit the following registry key: HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\CWSLayout - change the value from 1 to 0 and softreset.

yeah if you read earlier posts, the keyboard layout is not the problem
you only need to install the xt9 portion of the htc keyboards. the symbols menu is pulled from the xt9.

Just for the records: had the same problem on a Fuze with RRE 5, fix it doing the opposite of what the_ozyrys did:

I changed compime.dll to eT9ime.dll and fix it
Hi buddies,
New keyboard of Topaz doesn't include ctrl and alt. How can i get the traditional keyboard back? Or is there any work around?

so, when you write a message, middle bottom you have a keyboard. click on it (try double click or exactly on the up sign and a menu appears to change the keyboard type). And select keyboard.
But that is without ctrl and alt
select keyboard, it has ctrl(the button with ctl), I don't know about alt though

i flashed NRGz EnergyROM on my Rhodium and got the wwe keyboard layout.
After remapping the software keyboard (worked just fine), i tried to remap my hardware keybord, to the german T-mo standard. But it just doesnt work
Since i tried it via the Rhodium Wiki and several threads here in the forum,
i'm now asking for help, but most of my hw keys won't work
For example the FN key or the ctrl key. But the most annoying thing is, that caps won't work anymore
Can anyone help me to remap those keys plz
Change Registry value
You can use PHM RegEdit program to change the value of the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/KEYBD /CuRLang to the value corresponding to your language (409 in Hexadicimal for English, 407 for german)
