I do not have the ability to enter my device's bootloader. camera+power does nothing but turn the device on. I can still enter recovery, but cannot get to bootloader. Im running dmd64 1.6. I have all the necessary files to downgrade to RC29 to enable root access, but without access to bootloader is this impossible? Any ideas on a possible fix? I tried using ADB to access bootloader, but doesn't that require a rooted device? Thanks in advance!
How to root:

Thank you, but i know how to root. My problem is that for whatever reason, my bootloader does not appear when i turn on the phone while holding the camera and the power button. I need to know if there are any alternatives to using the bootloader, or to access the bootloader, as the usual shortcut does not work for my phone. (g1)
Sorry, I misunderstood you.
I was searching around for an answer and on the Cyanogen wiki it says:
Hold down the Camera button, and press the Power button until the bootloader starts.
* On some G1s it may require pressing the action button (trackball), while on others it may require pressing the power button.

Unfortunately my will to help is superceding my knowledge at this point, so hopefully someone will step in with an idea.
What did ADB tell you when you ran the ADB reboot bootloader command? Did you get a permission denied error?
Was in bootloader once, and then had to reboot because was taking to long to get the code. After getting the code i cant get back into it, every time i press volume down + power button it just turns on regularly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

bootloader i think is unlocked but CWM not installed.
On my M8 H/K, the PWR button isn't being recognised while in hboot and such. It works to boot the phone up, wake & lock screen, etc. Just not in hboot or anything pre-boot.
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader & s-off so I can unlock it to use with T-Mobile. My VOL UP button is dead, VOL DOWN button works perfectly, but eh PWR button doesn't work in hboot or selecting Yes to unlock the bootloader (I even had to use adb to reboot the phone into bootloader since it won't let me boot with PWR + VOL DOWN.
Anything I can do ?

They will if you get everything done right. Had a few Sprint phones on T-Mobile & Straight Talk.
Still need to unlock the bootloader & s-off and so on anyways.
