Push technology using good.com with O2 XDA mini s - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Has anyone had any experience in using the mini s with the good.com push technology.
i am not sure whether it will work until O2 upgrades the Rom?

I have not tried it on that device. However, I use the goodlink application on my HTC Wizard with the Cingular service. I recently loaded the latest test ROM (2.8.7.1) and goodlink still works fine.

Hi Angel, just want to know. How is the upgrade wm6 for xda iis, is it work?
Thanks
Work but not perfect
I also have XDA IIs. I did upgrade to WM6 couple times. I used the rom posted on this web site. I did enjoy the new looks but the phone didn't function correctly. For example, I had a hard time turn the wi-fi on/off. But I didn't have a chance to try the new rom from PDAViet yet.
Any way, right now I'm back to WM2003SE because of a reason. In WM6, I couldn't change the GSM band of my phone. If I set it to automatic, my phone couldn't detect GSM850. I have to manually select it.

Performance, Stability and Software issues after upgrading O2 XDA Mini S

Hello,
I am new to this forum and hope you can help me.
I recently upgraded my O2 XDA Mini S with the latest (Original) QTEK 9100 Firmware that were avaible from the Qtek Webpage. I have done this, because many people in internet say, that the Qtek Firmware is as much faster and less memory intensive as the O2 Firmware.
The Upgrade has done successful. But some days after upgrading I noticed more and more, that this Firmware seems to be less stable and slower than the O2 Firmware I used before. On a second XDA Mini S I also recently Upgraded with the latest O2 Firmware (SPL/IPL 2.19). This Firmware wasn't much better than the O2 Firmware I used before that - but it didn't cause such problems as this one. Nontheless I noticed that too late and for some reason the Upgrade to the Qtek Firmware was not possible with that Firmware any more (FW upgrade failed).
Damn that I selled this phone too early before noticing all issues with the Qtek Firmware on the second phone (where the Qtek Upgrade worked).
Here is a list of all issues that I noticed with the new Qtek FW:
I could swear that all this things worked much better with O2 Firmware!
- I can't use the slide-switch to control the volume while being in a call
(Is there any way to config this?!)
- MagicButton (Tool to "really" exit programs) does have problems to close messaging, phone- and contacts app (won't close). With the recent FW this was no problem.
- I would put my hands in fire that the XDA was much more stable and faster
than now. Often the XDA just hangs a while or crashs while clicking to open a program or loading software.
- For some reason since some days I've noticed an issue with the backspace-key ('virtual touchscreen keyboard') within the messaging app (sms). The Key doesn't work anymore when trying to delete chars. In other app it works. After resetting the XDA it works one or two times - than after reoping it sucks again.
Now another non-software-problem:
My Stylo-Pen doesn't fit and hold anymore. With the other phone (damn...the one I selled) - the pen held perfectly! With this phone it just sucks.
Does anyone have a trick or tip for me? Does anyone know if this is covered by O2 warrenty services?
I hope someone can help me with my issues. If this is really a firmware problem I would like to upgrade to the latest O2 Firmware. But doing this I want to enshure that I don't upgrade the 3rd-Party Firmware lock (that locked my other "unlocked" O2 XDA). I've read something that it might have to do with the SPL/IPL 2.19. Can anyone confirm this? Is it possible to upgrade to the O2 Firmware without the SPL/IPL?
Best Regards
Gabriel

Can Anyone Provide Me With A Serial Number For An O2 Xda Stellar?

I have just bought an HTC TYTN II, I would like to install the O2 Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM, I prefer the O2 ROM as all the settings are pre-programmed and the layout are as O2 expect them so I can call them for Tech support.
Unfortunately, I cannot access the file as I don't have the O2 version (the XDA STELLAR) and you need to enter your O2 XDA STELLAR Serial Number to access it.
Is there any kind person out there that might be willing to PM (message) me with a serial number of an XDA STELLAR that I could enter to get the file please.
Hoping someone can help me,
Thanks Folks,
wirralot
PS: Isn't the TYTN II / XDA STELLAR just the BEST phone ever!!
i would just put on a cooked rom from the many out there, first read the wiki about spl etc
the settings are on a automatic send once you install a new rom and turn it on,
as for tech help,i would say heres your guys use the search and you will be fine.
iam on o2 and its fine tryed many roms now and still ok.
TyTN IIs Connection Wizard/network will automatically set it up
The HTC branded TyTN II has a connection wizard which allows use on different networks and in different countries (especially useful if you're going overseas and want to use a PAYG sim for example. Also, as already mentioned, when you turn the phone on with your O2 sim already in it, the phone will automatically set itself up for your network - that's how it was with me and Vodafone. There's no need to go to the trouble of flashing your ROM and should you need any tech support, any instructions for the Stellar are likely to apply to the TyTN II as well. The few times I've spoken with Vodafone staff, their V1615 (vodafone branded version) feedback has helped (they even sent me a V1615 manual so I can compare the two).
ps yes it's the best ever as long as you have the WM 6.0 ROM and don't expect very good video playback!
Thanks for the input guys,
I should be receiving the pda in a day or too.
I believe it's on Windows mobile 6.1.
You say :" ps yes it's the best ever as long as you have the WM 6.0 ROM and don't expect very good video playback!"
Is WM 6.1 not a success for the Tytn II?
This is a great site, full of other people like me who couldn't live without their PDA!
Cheers Folks,

I can only write with experience of the HTC branded TyTN II and their official ROMs here in the UK but IMO HTCs WM 6.1 upgrade for the TyTN II is more trouble than its worth. It introduced many bugs which I'd not noticed or experienced under WM 6.0. These included the default ring tones going silent unexpectedly, untidy file structure with WMP program files being where they shouldn't and of course GPS performance issues (which it appears are also plaguing its successor the Touch Pro). I wrote a multipage letter to HTC about bugs with their WM 6.1 upgrade and their handling of them so in short, no, I do not consider HTCs implementation of WM 6.1 a success (in its current state) on the TyTN II

Bluetooth Pairing

Hi
I sent my Vario iii off for repair and it came back with Windows Mobile 6.1 installed. Now I cannot pair my netbook with the phone to use Bluetooth internet sharing.
It worked before on the original shipped rom with Windows Mobile 6.0 and it works on my HTC Touch phone, but now I cannot connect.
When it asks for the passkey it says it is incorrect even though 0000 is used on both devices. Then i put it in again and it seems to pair up but whenever I try to send a file or use internet sharing the netbook says it cannot access the device and I should pair again.
Anyone come across this problem?
Been trying again on this and read a few posts of people having problems and it appears that downgrading back to 6.0 the only option.
I have had a look around but cannot find a t-mobile 6.0 rom. Does anyone have one or should I contact t-mobile?
No problem here with a 6.1 ROM (the one in my sig) and several different PCs and other bluetooth devices.
Have paired it with a different phone (Touch Diamond) with WM 6.1 but a different build to mine.
The one on my phone is 19212.1.0.3
Have checked the Rom version and it is : 3.31.110.3 with radio 1.70.18.02

Searching Tool to cook WM5 ROM

Hi,
I have a XDA mini S (G4). Every time I flash the Phone with a WM6 ROM there are Problems with the Radio (It takes much longer to connect to the Network and the reception is not so good), the Bluetooth doesn't work correctly, everything runs slower and sometimes the OS just crashes. There is only one good thing about WM6: it looks much prettier. Now i want to flash the original O2 WM5 back, but at first I want to remove the JUNK O2 added to the OS. Now I'm searching for a program to modify WM5 ROMs, but I need some advice, I don't want to ruin my phone.
Are you in the UK?
Hi, I assume that you are in the UK since you mention O2 and mini s. Also, what WM6 rom are u using? I have just put XM6r5.1 on my uk mini s (both G3 and G4) and upgraded the radio to the T-Mobile 2.19.11 UK This works (so far) perfectly. (On contract and pay&go). May I suggest that you have another try before you give up and return to WM5. I am a noob, so this may be wrong, but I think the O2 stuff you mention is in the extended rom and unlocking this is not possible on a G4. There might be some way to prevent the OS from using it but for that answer you need an expert! Best regards
