Help with GPRS on MDA III WM2005

Hi
I can not get a GPRS connection on my MDA.
I have set up GPRS using the settings from http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html but when I try to connect I get the following message
Connecting to : GPRS
Dialed : general.t-mobile.uk
No modem at above number. To check your connection settings and change them if needed tap settings.
Any help would be great
Thanks
Probably needs to be general.tmobile.co.uk - likely a typo on that site.

WiFi in Wizard - connection problems even with strong signal

Hello.
I've got HTC Wizard (Era MDA Vario) (Era is T-Mobile in Poland) with Crossbow Underground ROM. It's a very good phone at all but i still reach problems with WiFi. Even when I'm 30 cm from wifi router (Linksys WRT-300N), when I turn the WiFi on, it can't connect to my network. When i go to "Network Cards" menu and select Connect manually, Wizard connects almost always. Can I set my Wizard to connect automatically to my network when I turn WiFi on? It could connect automatically when I had very old 1.XX original ROM.
My current Radio ROM is Cingular 2.25.11, i've already tried 2.47.11. Anybody has this problem or know how to solve it? Maybe it's just a simple registry change?
Yours sincerely,
kasok
i also have a problem like that
mine connects automatically however, it losts connection after 10 sec. than it doesn't connect anymore. after soft-reset i can connect again
i'm using molski v3.3 radio 2.19

Internet connection management

Hi,
As many people I have several internet connections (work – connected to my laptop via active sync when I'm in my office, WiFi at home and GPRS/EDGE/3G when I'm outside).
If there are a lot of Phone utilities, I don't find nice tools to manage internet connections.
Do you know some nice tools? (working on WM6 / TyTn II)
I fact I would like to get a tool permitting to classify the internet connections as follow:
Each program that wants to connect to internet, tests first if a "work" connection is available (trough active sync and laptop), if not, tests for a WiFi connection (already established) and if not, tries to establish a data connection (GPRS, EDGE or 3G).
I think a tool permitting to define priorities in internet connections could very useful. May it already exists or will be developed by someone.
Many thanks for your help.

WiFi and GPRS conflict on my Tytn II I need Help

I am no longer able to connect to the Internet via my home WiFi network. I am able to WiFi connect to the network without any problems, but when I try to use any application that accesses the Internet the phone looks for a GRPS connection. I do not have a data account attached to my sim as I live in Australia, and as far as that sort of thing go, we are a backwater…
The WiFi connection and access was previously working fine until I tried to disable the GPRS from trying to connect, as this would routinely bring up messages informing me that a GPRS connection could not be made. I do not know what settings I have changed but I cannot seem to reverse the situation.
I have soft reset a number of times, I have re-run the connection wizard, etc my current settings are as follows:

Configure Wireless Networks –
.MyWirelessNetwork Connected
Configure Wireless Network-
Network Name: MyWirelessNetwork

Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using: Vodafone Internet Settings
Programs that automatically connect to a Private network should connect using: My Work Network

I do not know if this is all the info need to sort this out, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have done allot of customising and I really don't want to have to a Hard Reset. I can connect through all applications, if I am connected by USB.
Thanks
First you need to make sure your connection is set to use My Work Network as first priority. Next you need to make sure that the WiFi connection connects to WORK NOT the INTERNET. probably your problem, did the same thing on my 8125

Hi there,
Can someone please help by advising me on how to overcome this problem.
If I broadcast my SSID, the device connects fine, but when I stop broadcasting, the device will show that the network is unavailable. I did check the "This is a hidden network" checkbox option, in the settings.
Configure Wireless Network-
Network Name: MyWirelessNetwork
Connects By: Work

Configure Wireless Authentication-

Please help,... many thanks!
