Big thanks to everyone here. :) - Off-topic

I've been a member of these boards for a few months now, I joined in anticipation of getting myself a Wizard and read the topics posted here studiously for that time eeking out an idea of what you were all talking about etc.
Well today I finally got myself a Wizard (O2 Mini S) and using everything I'd read on here I've upgraded to the latest rom no sweat and tweaked all the animations and such out so that my new baby runs like a dream.
I'll continue to read these forums on a regular basis as I haven't stopped learning since I first arrived here.
Again a big thank you to all the regular brainiacs around here.

MDA Vario T-Mobile Software

Hi everyone
I have just bought my MDA Vario all is great, but I have noticed that the T-Mobile Customization software slows the device a great deal, has anyone attempted getting rid off it and how? The T-Mobile software is really annoying please help guys !!!
Cheers
Arthur
Hello Arthur,
I suggest you read the Mr Clean goes to London post or look up the Molski rom.
Custom T-Mobile 2.26 Rom (Dutch and WWE). (wwe is the language code for English).
I will assume that as you have just got your Vario its a G4 version so you will need to be brave and follow this tutorial to get a clean rom system on it.
[How-To] Install any 2.x ROM in a CID-Locked G3 or G4 Wizard.
You could also follow this tutorial to start with.
Make Your MDA Vario Wizard Work Better - tips and tweaks.
Wish someone had felt sorry for me and given me this advice when I joined the Forum a few weeks ago but yuo will find that you will have to do a lot of reading yourself as Newbies tend to be treated a bit as thought hey are an annoyance which is a shame!!
If you get stuck PM me although I am nearly as greeen at this as you.
All the best mate
thepurser
ps. I have flashed mt rom using the Mr Clean and it works although I have a few software conflicts. Will try the Molski Rom tonight and report back.

Hey Purser,
Newbies are always welcome here, we do expect you to do your own legwork though. The problem is not that we are annoyed at Newbies but rather that too many seem to feel entitled to just pop-in and ask questions without even reading the stickies at the top of every forum.
If a newbie posts a question about AKU 2.3 Rom in one of the AKU 2.3 threads then they are generally responded to kindly. On the other hand when someone just starts a new thread titled "NEED HELP!!!" and then Post "Just got my 8125 3 minutes ago, what's the best Rom" (oh and this is their first post with 1 minute of joinging XDA-Dev) then they will not get the same respect.
We were all newbies once. I remember find this place when I had my SX-66 (BlueAngel), I read for two weeks before I tried anything and then I nearly messed myself during my first Rom flash. Now almost a year later I'm more experienced and on my second HTC device (already eying #3). I had been reading the Wizard forum for about 1 month before I purchased my Cing 8125.

1st post

This is the off topic board so it belongs here. This is oficially my first post after lurking for a while. I'm a complete newb to winmo and smartphones but have absolutely fallen for the Touch Pro (Raphael). I'm waiting to find a sale price to pick one up. I'll give credit to Palm though, the Pre got me looking at smartphones in the first place but the teeny keyboard kills the Pre for me. I need a qwerty keyboard that my meat puppets fit on, and the Pre is not the one. I look forward to all the tips I've read already, will read and the beginning of smartphone ownership. Thanks for the opportunity to post my hello.
HI & welcome to XDA...have fun and happy flashing!
Hi all,
Same here I am new to this forum.
I had been using mobile devices a long time, my first one being a Newton device marketed by Sharp. The first Win device was also a sharp (hc4700 if I remembered correctly. A monochrome LCD running CE1.0)
Still keeping an O2 XDA IIs.
Hope to speak with you again very soon.
Have a nice day everyone

Welcome to forums too
Read, search, respect and enjoy!
I suppose I'm sort of new too, but not to WinMo, hardware hacking etc..
That's cool, everyone here all started their with post #1, but there is a nice community here.
Unfortunately not every one has the coding skills to help build software, but the peple who can write or cook Roms are generally very helpful.
Hello everyone!
I hail from Malaysia, and this is, quite obviously, my first post on these forums. I'm getting a HTC Touch Pro2 soon, and have had good experiences with previous WinMo phones (my last was an O2 XDA II), although I moved away from the smartphone arena for a few years.
In any case, this place seems like a good hangout for the techie and geek in me, so here's to hoping we'll all be good friends.

Hi, let me introduce myself.

Hi,
I registered myself yesterday, but i didn't have time to introduce myself yet.
So now i'll introduce myself, better late then never so to speak.
I'm Arjan Kuiper, 28 years old.
Currently living in Oude Pekela (The Netherlands).
I'm the proud owner of the OMNIA II (GT-i8000), and since 2 weeks the Galaxy S (GT-i9000).
The GT-i9000 is currently running Adroid 2.2 aka Froyo, it's also rooted with the SuperOneClick method.
Oh yeah....the carrier is T-Mobile.
Basically i'm just a newby what the Adroid O/S concerns, but hopefully that'll change soon enough.
I'm already checking some mods during this humble little introduction.
Best regards, Arjan.
PS. My English is a bit rusty, so my apologies.
Welcome to the Forum Hope you enjoy your stay here
Welcome, sir. The galaxy is a very sweet device. I've been enjoying vzw us variant for a month now. Have fun reading and reading some more. And then coming to off topic to ban someone and then back to reading.
good day.
Your english is more than proper! Welcome!
Welcome, enjoy your stay here @ xda .

Introduction

Hello everyone,
Just thought I would introduce my self, I'm new to the forum and playing around with Android.
I've always loved Android and have always wanted to customize and build my own ROM someday, so what better place to come and get help than here.
I currently have an S3 Mini, it's a great little phone and has never missed a beat. I have soft bricked it a few times trying to learn how to do things, but hey it still works fine
Thanks for reading,
Antony

about me

Hello everybody?
This is my first post here, to tell You something.
I have been surfing in XDA for a wile now, and your discussions and experiences have helped me out a lot. So I think it is time to be polite and say Thanks !
My first smartphone was a long time ago, the brand new Dell Streak with Android Froyo out of the box, then upgraded to Gingerbread. I fell in love with Android (a long time ago).
I am not a programmer, but love tweaking around by using tutorials, videos, forums and so on.
Until soon and
Always keep going, because You never know what's catching up with You!
