Hi, I have a AT&T Tilt and I have a simple problem I want to know how can I fix it, if its possible.
PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO SEARCH CAUSE I TRY A FEW TIMES AND I CANT FIND THE ANSWER TO MY PROBLEM, MAYBE I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE THE SEARCH.
OK here it is:
#1 = CLOCK
-I want to put the clock , lets say retard the time 10 minutes, I do it, but in a few hours the clock its at the real time again! How or what do I have to do, so the time wont fix by it self???
Also, Can anyone please tell me if its a way to see youtube videos??, my cellphone on " m.youtube.com" any video says, fail to connect, and on www.youtube.com (the same one we use on a PC) it says something about the flash player...? (I havent search for this)
THANKS
for youtube get the "video sites" cab. it will take you to all the video sites.
#1 - Clock
Start>Settings>Phone>Time Zones Tab, Un-Check "Automatic Change Time Zone and Clock".
#2 youtube, you will need to search, it involves installing TCPMP and setting it up and I'm not up to spoon feeding tonight.

WOW!!!, im impressed!! of how stupid I am!, hahahhahaha , you wont believe Im looking for that "automatic change time...." since December 24 (the day I buy the phone), and its no joke.
But im a newbie on this sophisticated windows phones, I usually get lost on the phone hehehe
thank you very much!!!
--------------
OK changing the topic a little, I installed the HTC HOME and HTC album, and the new camera drivers, very very cool things, what other things do you recommend me to install on my TILT??
whats touchflow for?, and what about the HTC cube like thing I have seen here, is that easy to install? (like the HTC home?), any of this will make my phone slower?
thanks

Read & Search!!!!!!!!
Okay, I assume you're talking a live or hotmail account, right? If so you'll need WLM or pocket MSN. Here is WLM: http://rapidshare.com/files/77537208/WLM_v10.6.0030.2100.rar
Instal WLM from desktop & then go back to the "new e-mail" and it will run you through the configuration. This is going to instal windows messenger too though. Make sure you read the screen & uncheck the sync contacts option unless you want all your hotmail/live contact stored in pocket outlook.
Thanks to every one, im reading and searching, learning a little more about my Tilt
I still havent figure out how to see youtube videos, but I guess i'll find something in the next days...
Another thing, if some one can answer me
MY TILT has this on memory:
STORAGE------------------------Program
TOTAL = 124.66------------------TOTAL = 101.38
in use = 101.17-------------------in USE = 51.49
FREE = 23.49----------------------FREE = 49.89
Is thats normal?, i have 4 mp3 (not more than 10mb) and like 10 pictures (not more than 6mb), and HTC HOME, Some Camera driver someone post here, HTC HOME Custumizer , and HTC album
If the phone install something, I remove it on "REMOVE PROGRAMS" right?, will it still use memory? ( i think this is a stupid question) I ask, cause I remember yesterday I had 29 free MB, and now I only have 23Mb, and the phone its exactly the same, I download some programs, but i remove it on "remove programs"

To be honest, I'm relieved that your questions were actually valid and you seemed to have used the search.
We're not newbie-hostile over here. We just get tired of answering the same questions all the time.
That being said, if you post about problems with your keyboard and volume after having flashed a new ROM, we'll probably ream you for not having searched. Thank God for intelligent questions and new users.
sorry, im dont know if I understand your post (im not a good English student hehe)
im sorry if I do anything bad, or anything I cant do

Well, the memory usage seems to be normal. Please notice that the operating system also needs memory and needs more space, if you open programs. You can check and close programs in the same settings window using the tab Running Programs. Regulary Windows Mobile just minimizes programs when you click on the "X"-Button. There are several solutions to override this and really close an application then. You can find some free at www.freecabs.de (Website is in english).
And yes, to remove programs you have to remove them at Settings>System>Remove Programs. But you can not remove programs, which are implemented in the ROM. Just the apps you installed.
Here's how to get full Youtube working:
http://tech.blorge.com/Structure: /...youtube-working-on-your-windows-mobile-phone/
Truthfully, you will have much more memory available, and it will be easier to fully close programs to prevent them from using resources (CPU and memory) if you flash a cooked ROM (I like Dutty's DualTouch v2). Posts on how to do this are everywhere, and on the XDA developers wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
Good luck.
And don't feel bad about not having perfect English. It's a ridiculously hard language to learn and an ugly one, in my opinion.

Yes, you only need to copy and paste files from an old to a new card. I'd recommend to turn off the phone while doing it but you don't need to do that.

I am quite new to ROM flashing, but have been successful and am now able to do it with no problems.
My question is simple:-
Could some someone please define the word TILT in the following sentance.
"Tilt owners, install additional cabs"
I though that all Keizer's were Tilt devices, or am I wrong? How do I know if I am a Tilt owner?
Sorry if it's a stupid question.

Yup its a stupid question alright. Naw just playing.
The Tilt is A "Kaiser" Per se but a Kaiser is not a Tilt. you know like a rectangle is a square but a square is not a rectangle.
Functionally they are the same however, the keyboard appears different, hence the need for the Keyboard Fix cab and there is no Video call Camera in the front. Oh and there is the unbearable need to have AT&T as a carrier.
And it would appear... slower roms too...

I really don't have a problem, once the bloatware is removed that is. At least its very easy to remove AT&T bloatware completely on a Tilt. No need to flash to get rid of it.

Its really easy to remove the bloatware on an AT&T Tilt. Takes about 5 minutes total. The AT&T internet settings and such will stay. It will remain fully functional. If you want stuff back like Cingular Video or Media mall you will have to reinstall those separately.
First of all you must realize when you are done the phone will be just like it came out of the box, minus the bloatware. You will have to reinstall any applications installed to the device, and redo all previously applied hacks. Backup anything you don't want lost that is in storage memory, and move it to your storage card. Anything on your storage card is safe. Once everything you don't want lost is safely backed up or moved you can proceed.
Click Start --> Settings --> System tab --> Clear Storage
Enter "1234" and click YES.
Device will reboot.
When it comes back up have your stylus ready. It will ask you to align the screen (Tap the crosshairs), set the time zone & clock, etc.
When done you will see a green screen that says something like "You have now setup your device, tap the screen to begin using Windows Mobile..."
As soon as you tap and the today screen opens you will see a text box popup saying "Software install will begin in 3 seconds" Quickly soft reset the phone before this install begins. Do this by inserting the Stylus in the reset hole in the bottom of the device and press before the install begins.
Device will reboot.
When it comes back up you will be free of AT&T Bloatware.
You may now redo all of your hacks and reinstall your software. You will notice a lot more available storage memory and RAM available.
Enjoy!

Hey Jay thanks for the advice on getting rid of att's softwares. I notice on your icon that you have TOM TOM running as your GPS program. I have TOMTOM also however my is cracked and the version is 6.010. When I first installed it, searching for satellite was fairly fast. Now, it takes forever. Any idea on what happened? Thanks

Sounds like your quick GPS files need updating. I have mine set to auto download when necessary. Go to Start--> Programs --> Quick GPS. The icon looks like a satellite dish. Click Download. When your download is complete click Menu--> Options. Make sure "Autodownload when data expires" is checked.

No, I don't have a list of everything the bloatware install ads, hides, or otherwise changes. I know Internet connection sharing is hidden and replaced with the AT&T dialer application. Then there's all the 30 second trial versions of the games that are gone as well.
After you remove the bloatware all the cabs for the bloatware are in the windows directory. If there's anything missing like Cingular Video, or anything else like that, that you can't live without just run the appropriate *.cab file and install it. I prefer this way as you can selectively install just what you want, and leave out the rest.

LOL, I've had mine since November and I haven't flashed yet. I haven't found a need to so far. I am heavily tweaked and modded though... I've been thinking about flashing, but I generally don't flash a device until my warranty expires, but that's just me. I think the only exception was with my classic model V3. I think I flashed that phone the day I got it to remove the Cingular crap. It was not necessary to flash the Tilt to remove the AT&T crap, so I haven't flashed ... yet.

Yeah, mine still worked. Just the crap is gone. Remember you will have to reinstall everything, and setup your device again, so make sure you have all that stuff ready. Its a good idea to keep all of your cabs in a folder on your storage card so you don't have to look for that stuff when you hard reset.

For the uninitiated, here's the deal: I'm having a major issue in trying to store my EMail/Attachments on my storage card...the Tilt seems to keep wanting to create a directory called "Storage Card" on the phone memory itself, and renaming the actual card to "Storage Card2".
Now, before anyone jumps on my case: I've been around for a little bit, and I know enough to have done my homework:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde...ard likes to rename itself to "Storage Card2"
This problem is talked about here, but not conclusively...A "fix" was mentioned in a link to some other site's Axim-related thread, but that didn't work for me...and two links mentioned at the end of this wiki are actually bad.
The issue is also discussed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353953&highlight=storage+card2
and here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=372296&highlight=storage+card2
From what I gathered, it appears that the Tilt is so far asleep, that when EMail comes in, the Today-Messaging plug activates before the storage card does...hence the problem.
Now, one brilliant soul figured out, "Aha...remove the Today-Messaging plugin, problem solved." But as another person answered:
So now I need to decide if it is more important to store my mail on my card or have the messaging plugin...?

I don't want to have to use a third party app for this. Can ANYBODY tell me if a workaround was ever found for this problem that would allow the Messaging-Today plugin to work normally? THANKS!
jst an idea..
Far from a proper fix, but could'nt you (someone) maybe write a Mort script to disable the today plugin on boot then re-enable 30 seconds later?
Jst an idea...
I wouldn't be able to do it myself... but it occurs to me that some of the big brains round might be able to do it in there sleep with the right motivation
Mort script? What's that?
Thanks for the suggestion...unfortunately, I don't have a clue as to what a Mortscript is. I'd be very worried about the reliability of something like this, but maybe someone can elaborate on it.
Also, if there is a simple, free plugin that duplicates the standard Messaging plugin (like Cal+ does for the Calendar...it looks very similar, just slightly improved), I'd be open to using that. But I've searched and so far, I haven't found anything like that.
Refining the statement of the problem...
OK, I actually have noticed that the problem primarily occurs when I have to do a soft-reset...if the messaging app is active on the Today screen, it looks like it's "coming to life" before the storage card. I'm actually starting to see this happen with a few other applications that have Today plugins.
[EDIT/ADDED:] I actually found some sort of fix involving the Windows file omapdll (or something like that)...it has something to do with the storage card loading. However, I don't have this file in my device.
Anyone else have any ideas for a fix...Please?

Scratch that last. I've had the messaging plugin (and a few other Today plugins that use the storage card) off the Today screen for the entire evening, and it still creates that fake "Storage Card" directory in phone memory, renaming the actual card "Storage Card2". This doesn't appear to just be limited to Today plugins; it looks like it may be an issue with the Tilt itself...I'm pretty sure I'd put Windows Mobile 6 on my 8525, and I never experienced such behavior. So it looks like even flashing a new ROM (which I'm hesitant to do) may not help.
I'm extremely frustrated...I bought the Tilt because I loved my 8525 and was hoping the Tilt fixed some of its limitations. But right now, I'm wishing I would've just gotten an iPhone.
If someone knows of a fix I've missed, please let me know. Thanks.
Please help. i've searched and searched but nothing...
I've managed to delete some items/options from my today screen. I'm using the o2 interface.
I'm missing the running programs icon from the bottom right of the screen. Plus i used to have memory and volume settings (used to be able to select normal, loud etc etc) I've noticed the whole menu is missing from the Today in Settings.
Does anyone know how i can get this all back? Somethings been deleted when i was installing regedit, but i dont know what it was.
Thanks in advance.
Ben
I dont think anybody can help ... unless experts know how to add registry entry for these 2 item with the .cab files better still ..

Hi
I’ve just recently bought a new Kaiser of ebay, it is sim unlocked and is not branded by any network on the phone itself. On the home page, the bottom two buttons are contacts and planet 3. I want to remove planet 3 and replace it with “calendar” like normal Kaisers have. Also on start up, after the smart mobility display and before the “windows mobile” display appears, it show a white background with the green 3.I would like to remove this too if possible. Is there anyway of removing/replacing these with something else? And can someone give me the steps of doing so. Thanks in advance.
Does your kaiser have the front camera? If so, would you want to trade for an AT&T Tilt branded kaiser, that is sim unlocked as well?
remove planet 3

Hi
Thank you. When I open windows-startup it shows three files none of them are a file called "shortcuts". The three files are btdwake.ink, poutlook.ink, sddaemon.ink?
Sorry to be a nuisance but can u explain a bit more please? Also you wouldn't know how to remove the planet 3 on the home page would you too? Thanks a lot.
The one after animation is \Windows\welcomehead.96.png - remove it (replace it).
Better way is to do a hardreset and the best way is to flash original HTC ship ROM from their site or, if you want to experiment, try Kaiser ROM development section.

Hi
thanks you. i still cannot find a file named "welcomehead.96.png" iv'e looked through the entire "windows" file for it and used the search option. If i do a hardreset will i loose things on my mobile's storage and same if i flash it? would i have to re-unlock my mobile to except any sim or wouldnt it do anything to the sim unlock if i hardreset/flashed it?
When HR-ing or flashing, you usually lost everything on the ROM, storage card (miniSD) is left untouched. For unlocking you should see Kaiser ROM development section, where in stickied thread, is everything explained or linked to explanation. The only exception for deleting data is flashing original ROMs - they shouldn't disappear - shouldn't => but might.
If you can't see the file, just drop there your own . It was probably already flashed via someone before you, maybe you have already HardSPL-ed your device?

I tried a hard reset, however it did not remove the 3 symbol or planet 3. Can someone give me a direct link to download the original HTC ship ROM please? the phone is currently running with 6.1 Professional I would like this to remain the same if possible. Thanks

Hi
I have managed to find a program that has fixed the planet 3 problem. it's called soft key manager and it can be downloaded here if anyone else needs it :
http://fantasticbytes.com/products/softkeymanager
it replaces the soft key shortcuts with other things/programs and it's just what i needed .
now it's just the network 3 start up symbol i want to remove. Has anyone else got any ideas on how to remove this on start-up?
