TomTom on SPV M3000
Hi,
I have the same device.
Installing TomTom is a snap.
(I used a copy of the maps from my SD-card, so I did not need a reinstall of those)
It's even registered with TomTom.
But TomTom/the SPV won't recognise my bluetooth GPS.
Which I had running for GPSdash.
SO? is anything wrong with the SPV bluetooth??

However, I tried last night to make my XDAIII work with the 1.40.01 ROM, but no way to upgrad that ****. I read something about to use instead of the "BaUpgrade..." the "MaUpgrad..._noID.exe" because sometimes we got some problems with "Country ID Error". I supposed to use the MaUpgrade exe-File with the 1.40.01 ROM Update, the proggi ask me if I want to upgrad from 1.31 to 1.40 ROM vers. and Radio from 1.10 to 1.13 - click OK. done. XDA screen's backlight flashed off and "USB" stands at the top and the Version at the bottom. Ok... after a few sec. the update proggi said: ERROR 120: Model ID Error .... your device isn't designed to work with this patch.
I don't know what tha hell 's goin' on with that thing. Because many other guys in our forum already done this.
do the flash in 3 steps
1) 1.40.1 CE
2) Radio following wiki.
3) Flush the extrom
The 1.40.1 is a type II rom and the radio is a Type I.
Make sure you only use the files that are posted and dont mix them around.
You also might be having problems as your device has a differernt Version Number (that is if you have a camera) thus you need the MA tool.
Hi,
I've done it yesterday night/today morning. I downloaded the vodafone VPAIII update and the Maupdate, extracted the exe to folder and packed the maupgrade in it. started maupgrade "ERROR 120: Country ID Error", aight, "EXIT" started program once more, works ! Great, now I have the 1.40.01 GER ROM and the 1.13 RAdio Version.
And a fully Vodafone branded o2 XDAIII
I'll de-brand it today night and install some of the o2 CAB's. But at the moment I'm thinkin' to installe magneto - not sure because of the per4mance probl.
thx !

Search the forum for MTTY tool. It should help.
Hi
I have never changed the rom on my Orange SPV M1000 before. If I install a WM 6 rom on it, will I be able to go back to the original Orange rom with WM2003?
Also, is there anything I need to bear in mind when doing it? What will not work? Will I still be able to use the phone features on it? Is there a possibility of screwing the device up completely, beyond restoration?
Thanks
Luke Stratton

Hi dear,
I have HTC Blue Angel (GSM Orange SPV M2000) ( unlocked using other then orange operator) running wm2003 SE.
Model No. PH20B
Operator version 5.40.1.179
ROM version 1.40.00 WWE
Radio version 1.06.02
ExtROM version 1.40.179 WWE
I have lost my USB cabel, and now i want to upgrade my windows.
i need help
1. data cable connections for usb (to build my own cable).
2a. step by step guide specially for spv m2000 to upgrade wm2003 CE to wm6.5(English).
2b. which ROM is best for me, i need office, Multimedia, SMS, PDF etc.
Thanks in advance,
Hashmi
ok, where to start?
welcome to the forum!
1. upgrading via sd card is something, that is practically impossible, people claim, they have done it, but it has never really been confirmed, and i still think it is impossible.
2. the pin layouts of the connector can be found -=here=-, please try google next time, on blueangel connector layout, it was the first result!
3. there are no special instructions for the spv m2000, because it is a blueangel like every other, so the steps are the same, the same can be said about wm6.5, same process as wm5, can be found -=here=-
4. the rom fitting your needs best, you have to pick for yourself, for the things you posted, all the new wm6.5 would be fine. pick the one you like best:
- -=sun_dream's=-
- -=xplode's=-
- -=swampy395's=-
- -=thanhcong_to's=-
Dear,
Thanks a lot, i have done it, and the reason for late posting is my illness. I have also build my own cable with little modification which is charging + communicating.

Click to collapse
There is a link for the pin out in Chef's post. With that you can make the cable. If you don't know how to make cables, don't try this. Simply buy one on eBay.
