Quetion about IMEI/SIM Unlock - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

I've tried searching and have found no answer. Any help would be appreciated.
I recently SIM unlocked my phone after experiencing the "data crash" "Sim locked" problem that many others appear to be having. Before unlocking, I reverted back to the original shipping ROM. I'd still like to try different ROM's.
Will flashing to a custom/cooked ROM or an Official release ROM re-lock the phone?

[Q] [SOLVED] Downgrade SPL on TMOUS

Hi, I was just wondering if the method of flashing the Europe ROM to downgrade a 5.10.x.xx SPL could be safely used on a TMOUS phone without unlocking.
Thanks so much for the help, and by the way-I'm not a noob, and actually used to develop very popular Android ROMS. I just decided to move to XDA because of the lack of communication and inefficiency of almost all of the forums I've tried.

if you are referring to SLSPL by ansar, no.
if you have a NoDo restore from Zune, then try this here.
else, you might try this here.
That is what I was referring to, I thanked you, and thanks for the help! Does that mean it would be possible if I unlocked the phone first? I don't have a NODO backup and didn't have any success with the goldcard method, so I would rather just pay for an unlock or call T-Mobile (probably the latter) Thanks again.

to what unlock are you referring to..?
TMO can only SIM Unlock your device... that won't enable you to change Bootloader or install non-Marketplace apps.
I actually am referring to a SIM unlock. The thread tells about how two SIM unlocked TMOUS users were also able to use the same method. I was just asking if this SIM unlock was required, possibly because a Europe ROM would have to be flashed. Thanks again!

SIM Unlock isn't required to change ROM, only XSPL.
did i understand you correctly?
This is quoted from ansar's thread: "Update on 30.12.2011: Two TMOUS users did confirm that after SIM unlock it worked for TMOUS too!!"
The XSPL is what needed to be changed- downgraded from 5.10.x.xx
The method used to do this is flashing a NODO Europe rom with the lesser-versioned bootloader.
i haven't been following the development of SLSPL, but if that is the case, great.
though, i, myself, wouldn't attempt it.
best of luck to you.
Thanks for all the help

[Q] Sim/Network Unlocking help

Hey, I've been trying for a few hours now to unlock my X8. The last method I tried, which I found on this forum, was simply unlocking the bootloader via flashtool, which was said to be able to unlock sims. However, I can't connect to a network using my second sim card, as before: nothing's changed.
My phone is rooted, it's a 10 model (so no danger, seemingly), and I've downloaded Omnia but that'll cost me almost 20 to get an unlock, so I'd prefer to do it myself if at all possible. Cheers.
EDIT:
After searching more topics, I've heard mixed things about unlocking - some say it's impossible for free, some say it can be done if I flash a new ROM, others say what I've already done should be enough (and it clearly isn't). Can anyone confirm/deny that flashing a custom ROM could unlock my phone?

[Q] O2-UK Unlock Code

I've asked O2 to give me an unlock code.
I'm thinking of moving over to EE for the 4G.
Do i need to be on a stock ROM for this to work?
When i originally put the EE sim in yesterday on the AOSP Rom, the box appeared asking for the code, but i've read you need to be on stock?
Can anyone confirm?
Anyone?
I got my Unlock code, tried it twice on AICP Rom and no luck!
Downloading a Sense ROM to try it with now.

Do some searching for SIM Unlock in here, there were quite a few threads around.
If I remember correctly, the primary things are correct CID & MID, plus a stock (or very close to stock) ROM.
Can't remember if (re)locked bootloader and stock recovery was necessary.
What's your "fastboot getvar all" output (except IMEI and s/n).
CID and MID havent changed since i got the phone.
I flashed Viper ROM and unlock went fine

[Q] Help! After using Cyanogenmod Installer it's asking for SIM Network unlock code

In an attempt to use my locked AT&T HTC One phone on my T-mobile service I used the Cyanogenmod Installer to root my HTC one and hope to use it on the T-mobile network; I also unlocked the bootloader via HTC website. The newest Cyanogenmod is installed (11-20140417-NIGHTLY-m7) and wifi is working, etc. Unfortunately, no phone calls since it keeps asking for SIM Network unlock code (I bought an unlock code...not working). Any suggestions? What should I do? I did some research and I read something about using an RUU...is this a good solution? Thank you all!
Status of phone on bootloader screen is:
S-ON "TAMPERED"

No, bootloader unlock and sim unlock are different things. You'll need to be on the stock rom to input your sim unlock code.

And that's what worked. Thanks!
Hello,
I (still) have the same problem here. I have a DHD that was locked and branded. I followed HTCDev's procedure to unlock the bootloader and installed a Cyanogenmod ROM (unofficial 10.1) two weeks ago that works great. I've been trying to get my phone unlocked for days with no luck ever since.
I've tried using the HTC unlock tool v. 0.9.5/4 and rooting the phone too. Nothing. Drivers are working fine; program executes as expected, but I still have a locked phone after it finishes. I got an unlock code that I enter after booting and I get a "successful network unlock" message, but the radio seems to remain off. I cannot place calls. Attempting to choose a network operator manually from the settings menu fails; I get a "mobile network unavailable" message when doing so (service providers list does not even appear). I've read threads saying that the only way to get around this is by reverting the phone to its original ROM and HBoot, but I've read elsewhere that workarounds on branded phones shipped with Gingerbread or Froyo (like mine used to run) fail and/or screw up the phone, so I have not tried that. Any ideas or pointers?
Thanks!

[Troubleshooting] Help Required from Pro Developers

Hello concerned,
I've got LG G4 H11 10n running Lollipop from T-Mobile. My cousin sent me as a gift.
I got it with some google account already entered. So being fair I did factory reset of phone to set the phone on my google account. I never knew i had to remember the google account and unfortunately neither me and my cousin remembers which google account it was previously using.
So,
Problem 1:
I need to get through "The device was reset. Enter the google account that was previously synced." and use my own account instead of the previous as i do not know it and was not mine anyway.
Moving further to my other major problem.
Problem 2:
I got this phone Sim Locked and i want to Unlock my Sim card. As I am not in the United States.
I don't want to buy codes from websites. Neither I was able to use Device Unlock App from T-Mo for Temporary/Permanent unlock.
I am much interested to unlock my phone via development. I've searched too many posts but found out that Rooting or Flashing of Stock ROM won't unlock it either.
Summary:
First of all i need help to set up my own google account then I need to unlock it for my carrier.
Any help regarding these matters will be highly obliged. Kindly refer any post that solves my problems if anyone knows.

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe flashing a global Rom port will work?
I've got MM update. If I update my phone will it resolve sim unlock issue?
If not, refer a stable Global ROM port. Because I searched a Global ROM port which was only for H811 10h as my phone is H811 10n. And the Dev. warned not to flash it on 10n or else my device will be bricked. Need help.

The marshmallow update 20i will not fix the sim unlock. You need a port from the h815.
Rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/h815-genisys-rom-1-0-classic-v10g-t3192649
I had best success with 3.4 genysis
Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/kernel-t3213145
Use the latest 1.7 version.
Thanks for your support so far Vseprz.
Isn't it better to try GLOBAL M STOCK ROM from this Thread?

I just came to knew that Flashing a Global ROM won't unlock my device either. Is this correct? Please I need to get through this.

That is okay if you want a complete stock build. Otherwise genysis has many nice qol tweaks and updates already done for you.
I believe i heard that the sim unlock that is built in to the 20i update actually works as opposed to the useless versions in older updates if that helps you

I can't try unless I am sure what I am doing.
