Hello concerned,
I've got LG G4 H11 10n running Lollipop from T-Mobile. My cousin sent me as a gift.
I got it with some google account already entered. So being fair I did factory reset of phone to set the phone on my google account. I never knew i had to remember the google account and unfortunately neither me and my cousin remembers which google account it was previously using.
So,
Problem 1:
I need to get through "The device was reset. Enter the google account that was previously synced." and use my own account instead of the previous as i do not know it and was not mine anyway.
Moving further to my other major problem.
Problem 2:
I got this phone Sim Locked and i want to Unlock my Sim card. As I am not in the United States.
I don't want to buy codes from websites. Neither I was able to use Device Unlock App from T-Mo for Temporary/Permanent unlock.
I am much interested to unlock my phone via development. I've searched too many posts but found out that Rooting or Flashing of Stock ROM won't unlock it either.
Summary:
First of all i need help to set up my own google account then I need to unlock it for my carrier.
Any help regarding these matters will be highly obliged. Kindly refer any post that solves my problems if anyone knows.

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe flashing a global Rom port will work?
I've got MM update. If I update my phone will it resolve sim unlock issue?
If not, refer a stable Global ROM port. Because I searched a Global ROM port which was only for H811 10h as my phone is H811 10n. And the Dev. warned not to flash it on 10n or else my device will be bricked. Need help.

The marshmallow update 20i will not fix the sim unlock. You need a port from the h815.
Rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/h815-genisys-rom-1-0-classic-v10g-t3192649
I had best success with 3.4 genysis
Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/kernel-t3213145
Use the latest 1.7 version.
Thanks for your support so far Vseprz.
Isn't it better to try GLOBAL M STOCK ROM from this Thread?

I just came to knew that Flashing a Global ROM won't unlock my device either. Is this correct? Please I need to get through this.

That is okay if you want a complete stock build. Otherwise genysis has many nice qol tweaks and updates already done for you.
I believe i heard that the sim unlock that is built in to the 20i update actually works as opposed to the useless versions in older updates if that helps you

Because it has downloaded an update and it keeps notifying. The downloaded update version 165.44.1.en.US. I am afraid if i update my sim won't work. So anybody has experience regarding this.
Thanks

I haven't applied any hack yet. I bought it used "unlocked". It has an AT&T logo on the back so it was locked to AT&T before. Now if i perform an OTA update.. will it get sim locked again. I do not mean or care for root. Just my sim should work. I hope i have explained well.

Sir to make this clear for you let me guide you through what sim unlock is: A Sim Unlock is performed over Cellular networks.. It does not have any I repeat ANY concern with the software of your mobile phone. When you unlock your sim through an unlock code the IMEI of your phone gets registered over Cellular networks so in easy words The unlock happens in air not on your phone. So whatever you do with your phone you will never ever be sim locked again because the IMEI of your phone has been registered permanently on the network when you unlocked the sim before. So feel free to do any kind of thing on your phone dont hesitate .
I got a phone for a deal from a friend today in hopes to unlock it to use with my Cricket Sim card. Well i am new to all of this but notice its running Android 6.0 or ZVB and see its a Death Trap.... ????
Does this mean the phone is not able to be rooted and Carrier unlocked since its ZVB ?
please help guys
Unfortunately there is an anti roll back mechanism in ZVB, meaning you will not be able to go back to ZVA, ZV9 nor ZV6 which is the version I know it can be rooted. You may find more information here. Now Sprint can unlock it for free, you just need an account with them (cell number) and they gladly help you at no expenses.
I called Sprintbonce i read about the ZVB junk and they required a security pin
Do you kniw if it must be a Sprint customer to get help withbit or has to be the recent user ?

Yes, you will of course need the original owner, which if you did buy it from a friend, should be nbd.
You can use basic flasher/dfs to get the spc and unlock.

I flashed mellow mallow rom as i was in zvb already from OTA. I turned on airplane mode after i turned it off radio didnt turn on anymore. Tried alot of things still nothing. Sprint lock phone info so i cant turn manually. It also says unable to control device radio. So i flashed global MM and now it does not ask for my pin. I thought maybe i can use some tool or a comand to force turn it on. Maybe its sprint blocking my phone even thought ESN check online seems clear. any idea ?
TOT back to Sprint ZVB factory firmware?
Hello everybody.
So... I understand pretty good all terms about rooting, flashing and roms.
The thing is that I have a LG L90 with CM 13 and I've noticed today that it only accepts one SIM Carrier, it's network blocked.
I want to insert another SIM from another company, but I do not know how to unlock the network restriction.
Does anybody have any idea of how to do that?
I remember owning a samsung ACE and some guy developed a tool to unlock network just using an APK.
Please, xda, help me. You're my only hope.

Hello the only way i know how to unlock is to ask t mobile. Did you buy the phone directly from t mobile?, if so you can ask them to send you a unlock code which you can input in your phone to unlock. Simple as that.

Hi. I've tried with my carrier (telcel/Mexico). They told me, they could not unlock it. They tried but didn't work. Told me the reason could be because i have a custom ROM (CM 13).
So i'm looking for alternative methods.
Got back to stock and call your cellphone provider again. You can go back to stock using LG Flash Tool and the correct kdz for your phone model.
Hey guys,
Can i flash normal twrp and Costum roms? Also when i have the Ultimate Version?
Sorry for my bad english, im german
You mean the 6/256 version . Look if you have unlocked bootloader or locked . If you have locked bootloader you have to apply for unlock permission on miui web. Once this is done you can flash TWRP and Custom Roms . Enjoy.

Hi @CayCay^^,
there is no different TWRP for the 4 GB RAM / 128 GB ROM edition compared to the 6 GB RAM / 256 GB ROM edition.
You can always use the same TWRP for both versions.
Yeah I did it too, you flash the twrp for the mix and then follow the flashing instructions from there. So far there does not seem to be a difference between the 4gb and 6gb models twrp/rom wise. At least I noted no differences when I unlocked, rooted and romed my 6gb version/

Anyone knows what the Unlock problem that seems to be affecting a lot of users (including me) is?
I've gotten the unlock sms, and I've verified my account on the phone under Dev options, but when running the Mi Unlock tool it says either "Current Account is not bound to this device" on the latest version of Mi Unlock (2.2.406.5) and on an older version (1.1.0317.1) it says "Current account is different from the account info on the device".
I've never had this problem before. Wondering if the device was unlocked then locked again as it came with EN.MIUI and that's causing problems?

That's annoying, most come unlocked obviously you checked for this, to re-lock is just worrying. Give malwarebytes a run.

Thanks. I've tried Fastboot to see if it's locked, and it is. So I guess it had to be unlocked at one point in time to install en.miui, or does Xiaomi now sell international versions with en.miui now?
Malwarebytes doesn't report anything fishy - thanks for that tip!
I might just wait two days for the en.miui Dev ROM and see if I can unlock the device then.
I've tried the en.miui.com forums but there are some many "thank u" etc posts that it's a mess to read through, keep up and identify problems

Always came with Chinese and English but that was it. Maybe they just wanted you to be able to use android pay and banking apps, unlocked bootloader and custom ROMs make that tricky. Where you got it from
Hello, I wanted to ask if there are any options to unlock the bootloader on redmi 4x in an unofficial way?
if you can give a link
Forgive me if something is not clear to you, I am just Russian myself and it is not easy for me to write in English
Yes, there is way but i could not find that link it was on MIUI forum, probably it is removed.
However you may try searching some method on YouTube, there is some possibility that there is might be some video still available.
Have you tried unlocking official way?
Hi there, I'm here asking the same question. Is there any way to unlock xiaomi 4x without permission in xiaomi account?
Sorry for bumping this old thread, but the problem is still relevant even today.
Does anyone know something about this unofficial unlocking method? I couldn't find it anywhere and the official methods didn't work for me, since I can't get past SIM activation for the account.
i looking for unofficial unlock to my phone is locked on prev owner email ( he sell it as parts bcs his screen has broken) and now he don't remember or want to give me his password to unlock it

I think you have mistaken unlocking the bootloader for unlocking the phone for access. What you want is more easily achievable, you can simply flash the stock rom using edl mode. There are plenty of tutorials for that if you search for these terms.

In that case, you need to do it in 2 steps. First, flash the stock rom using edl mode, so you can access the system without needing the original owner's email. Then you register a new account for you and do the official bootloader unlocking procedures. I hope it works for you, because I'm still stuck without being able to register my sim card for the official unlocking method.
