Sorry for being a total n00b but I am not clear on some things here. I have searched the forums but can't really find a clear answer. I have a qtek 9100 from TMobile. It is running windows mobile 5.0 NL version. I see that there is a NL and an ENG version in this post. Can I just install the ENG version on my phone with out any problems? Does that mean that Windows mobile will be in English after updating the firmware (which is what I would like)? Do I have to change any settings to be able to use the TMobile network or is that all stored on my SIM card?

I posted the NEW Russian 2.18 test rom last night. This morning when I check myqtek.com, that test rom has been pulled off their server. It's in the upload folder.
Some please check that test rom out and see if a2dp is on there.

Hmmm I get the message Invalid Vendor ID...the new ROM can't be loaded on my phone apparently
Ianman you need to CID unlock your phone before you can install it. However, I'll just note you may find the lokiwiz doesn't CID unlock if you have a relatively new handset, there's an issue in the later HTC units (see lokiwiz thread)

i was looking for the english ROM for the T MOBILE VArio and could not find it. Is this the same as having an english operating system? My mobile is in German and i find it very tough to naviagte around and hence wondering if you guys have seen an English operating system or a plug in that converts the existing into an english system?

I´ve searched and searched but havn´t found either answer or file regarding my question.
I recently bought a used Qtek 9100 (still have warranty thou) and it has all the standard bugs of the old ROM. The ROM version I have in my unit is:1.3.7.13 SVE which obviously is an old one.
I´ve tried registering on the myqtek site to get the latest update ROM but without luck since my unit isn´t delivered by the Brightpoint corporation apparently. I´ve been in contact with Daangard as well who also wasn´t the deliverer. My only option then is to send it back to the original store where it was purchased and get it done thru warranty, but that will take around a month since the store is not in my town and due to service time etc. Obviously I don´t want to be without my phone for a month just to upgrade the ROM. I also don´t want to use any of the english versions since I want my regular swedish keyboard. So if anyone knows where I can download the latest swedish or scandinavian ROM (SVE) I would be extremely grateful!

Yes, it´s very wierd. At Daangard they said that if you for instance buy your unit thru webshops that is regsitered in sweden but operate from a different country, this can happen, and he mentioned expansys as one of them that operate from england but have a base here in sweden as well. My phone is bought thru a store called My Telecom here in Växjö Sweden (I live very far from Växjö), and I apparently have to send my phone to them first, and then they will send it to their support place!! And they said it could take up to four weeks!! Four weeks for a simple ROM update!!
Anyway, I really appreciate if you can upload the latest SVE ROM update for me so I can see if my problems with the phone being VERY slow and that it hangs from time to time and re-starts by itself etc etc..

Installed this latest ROM file yesterday, and I can´t believe how much better my Qtek 9100 performs now! Totally outstanding! Only been using it yesterday evening and today, but still, no hang ups whatsoever (used to be 10 times per day), no slowness at all, all menus open fast and it feels like a faster processor in it bascially even thou it´s not.
So thanks a lot again! I´ve gone from pretty much disliking it and wanting to sell it, to wanting to keep it because it performs so well!

I want the newest Swedish ROM for Qtek 9100 too, please upload it. Or can I run wm6 with my Swedish keyboard? I have search for it and found that it shoulden't work, but maybe there are a new release? Thanks!

Actually I don't think there is such a thing as a 'Danish' or 'Swedish' keyboard, but rather a 'Nordic' with both Danish/Norwegian and Swedish special characters, and the reason for this is that I have a Qtek 9100 where the keyboard in addition to the Danish æ, ø and å also has the Swedish ö and ä.
I have WM6 on this Qtek 9100 and have all the Danish and Swedish characters in their proper place on the keyboard, so if your keyboard is the same as mine, i.e. it has öä + æøå, then all you have to do after installing WM6 is to make a simple registry modification to have these characters in their right place.
The registry modification is to add a String value Locale="0414" under the key HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd
This is also what you would have to do if you intall e.g. a WM5 WWE rom.
I also have a 2.17.7 WM5 SVE rom with a 2.61.11 radio, and I can upload this one to Rapidshare, but I'm afraid that it won't be before sometime during the weekend. This rom is a G3, so if you want to install it but have a G4 device, then you should have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293480

there are tools to do that. Make a search (PHM regitsry editor) and read the Wiki...

I installed the regeditor and found the right place to add the string, but i'm not that great in editing the register so what kind of value type should i choose? I got lots of different choices; REG_SZ, REG_DWORD, REGMULTI_SZ etc..

I did look at many of those posts earlier. I'm not trying to install another operators ROM or any cooked ones- just the 'official' T Mobile UK one, that is if they have an update to the one I already have.
I also asked T Mobile staff, but they gave me a blank look!
Try Offical AKU3.3 WWE.It's best ROM!Better than any WM5 or Wm6 ROM.(also it's WM5 ROM).

He/she asked for an original o2 rom ,so why ask for wm6 or cooked roms, why not try searching? Then you will find out that NOBODY has released a wm6 rom for the Alpine

The qtek2020 is a Himalaya NOT an Alpine, your ROM will either not install or will brick the device.

When I try to register my qtek9100 on myqtek, I get a message saying that the "IMEI is not valid (only brightpoint authorised original produkts are supported at this site. Please contact your provider).
I don't think the phone is blocked, because I can make and receive calls without problems.
Is there any other sites where I can download Qtek 9100 roms?

I had the same problem. If I remeber right there is a company that sells unregistered phones. I can download the ROM-file you want and upload it somewhere else if you want. (I found an IMEI with a google-search btw).
well....you do know that we have all of the official and many many far superior home cooked ROMS here on the forums....so you have no need to register on that site

Well, thing is tha I'm not sure if I already got the newest rom or not. In the startup screen it says I have spl 2.18 and ipl 2.18.
I don't know if this is the newest, but anyway it would be nice to be able to download new updates when they're available. If you have a rom that is newer than this, I would apreciate it if you'd upload it for me.

I think I can get a Nowegian ROM (Official WM5) But i think you shall try one of all the wm6.1 ROMs out there, they are much better then WM5. Look at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=356
