I've just bought a UK T mobile MDA, and successfullly debranded it, and re-ROMed it as an i jam - thanks to this site.
Now I can't get the active sync to work - my computer hangs .. and in trying to correct this I tried a hard reset (com/vox buttons and reset button all pressed simultaneously) - and no reset happened.
Can anyone help me please? I'm losing the will to live here!
Thanks!

Hi,
This has been said elsewhere in this forum but I didnt believe it till I tried it. If you have an XDA IIs that always needs resetting or freezes regularly do what I did - do a hard reset, once the base OS has loaded check the corporate user rather than private user and GET RID OF O2 ACTIVE! Remember a hard reset will wipe all other software and data other than that which is on the storage card - so back up your data.
If you are asked for a code then you could always try 0506
Since doing this on my own device - I have not had to reset it once! that used to be a regular thing. TomnTom also now works flawlessly as does the phone. Bluetooth also seems more stable.
Give it a try - well worth it.
Eradicating Resets
I was given the tip of performing a hard reset and when the screen indicates that it is about to load the OS software - switch off the unit!
It certainly stopped me constantly having to perform resets - in fact I have been reset free for about four months now!
How to check the Corporate user
do anybody can tell me how to do this on my PDA2K.

Try this. Go to:
start>settings>clear storage
Default password should be 1234. That hard resets your device. Everything is erased and you start fresh again
Hard reset worked - but active sync still hangs computer
Thanks for fixing the hard reset for me .. worked just fine. However I still cannot sync the Kjam with my PC - despite active sync having worked just fine to rebrand and reRom it.
The computer (having recognised the USB connection) then fails to synchronise and hangs.
Despite uninstalling and re-installing Active Sync 4.1 (and resetting the Kjam) - and after checking all the Zone Alarm settings, all still fails, with the computer hanging. I'm at my wits end .. please help!! :!:
Active Sync fixed - Don't Use a Hub!!
I finally fixed the active sync - i spotted a comment not to use a USB hub - and bingo!!
Many thanks!
I am planning to hard reset my phone since Active Synch via bluetooth is just not possible. My laptop only sees a bluetooth modem and refuses to acknowledge the existence of Active Syncn on my phone. I just wanted to know when I hard reset what happens? Will all the softwares I installed disappear? Will I have to re-intall them? Also how do I hard reset the O2 Mini S. Thanks.
Any thoughts on how I can retrieve the following situation without hard-resetting?
(and apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - I have tried searching via Google and the Forum search function (using keywords including "white, screen, hard, reset, missing, system, settings"...))
I'm running stock T-Mobile UK WM6 ROM on my MDA Vario III, with the radio noted in my sig (having sim-unlocked the phone courtesy of Jockyw2001's tool).
Last night I synced to my Vista laptop via ActiveSync as usual and also copied a couple of files to my storage card. This process also installed the MobSync which I'd d/l to my laptop recently but had not yet installed on the phone.
This morning I noticed that the GPRS connection was active - so I killed it via CommManager.
Then I got an error message saying a file (possibly "repl.log") could not sync - so I pressed OK. This message appeared a couple more times so I had a look at running programs via Start>Settings>System>Memory. Only ActiveSync and Navizon were present.
Then I tried to killed them - Navizon cleared OK, but ActiveSync wouldn't die.
Then I noticed that I was missing nine or so options on the Settings>System screen, inc. Power, Windows update, etc.
Then I soft-reset....
Then the o/s hung on the green Windows Mobile screen and I now have a white screen of death, inviting me to press 'send' to perform a hard reset.
I don't wanna!
(and which key is 'send' anyway?)
Would appreciate any help on this. I'm all backed up, but keen to understand what went wrong.
The green Answer key is Send.
Try pushing the Red Hang Up key.
Hi all,
Having problems, and Orange UK have so far been less than useful... When trying to check emails or go on the 'net, obviously my Tytn II logs onto a data connection - GPRS, 3G or HSPDA depending on where I am in the country. However, the handset won't send or receive any data - webpages (including the Orange World one) come up with an error that they couldn't be located, and emails (from a couple of different accounts/ servers) won't download.
Short of hard resetting the handset, what fixes are there?
...mmm.... looking at the Orange UK WM6.1 thread... Maybe I'll try that, see if it fixes it...
have you tried a soft reset? I've had something like this in the past and the soft reset has sorted it

Soft as in take it to the bootloader screen and then reset again? I did try that once, but can try it again. Apart from that I've tried several 'normal' resets as I think that's worked in the past. V frustrating though
