Not able to use my QTEK 9100 after upgrade

Hi ,
I have just upgraded my ROM to CUSTOM_RUU_Prodigy_2170702_217_20710_TMO_US on my QTEK9100 . The upgrade went perfectly fine for 10 min and it even copied all the cab files . But after the hard reset , my radio does not seem to work and the battery indicator displays status as unknown. When I click on start , it take long time to pop-up . Not sure what could be problem. I upgraded the ROM with CID-Unlocker option as NO . Also the active sync does not seem to work anymore now if I want to roll bak to the original ROM. Can I get some help to get my QTEK back in workig state somehow pl ? Any help is highly appreciated. Pl. let me know in detailed steps to get this thing up and running . I am using T-Mobile SIM with a plan and i am in UK.

Not able to use my QTEK9100
Hi Guys,
Now my unit keeps on rebooting on itself with T-Mobile startup screen. I tried holding the camera and the recoder button while resetting, but doesn't seem to work. I am worried that my gadget might be completely unusable. Can anybody assit please asap ?

anybody else tried this rom?

Possibly stupid questions but I'm kinda new to this alternate rom buisness.
Assuming I don't let it do the customisations and then put in the custom cabs for the GPRS, MMS etc from my existing EXT_ROM would there be a problem installing this on a UK MDA (on the UK T-Mobile network) ?
And would I be able to reinstall the UK shipping rom if things wern't to my liking ?

So we've previously had it confirmed by a Microsoft Employee (in a blog post regarding displaying of that retarded builtin battery meter on the today screen) that when we look at the above line from "About" in Settings -> System -> About that the last 3 digits indicate the AKU version. So this means that this ROM has AKU v2.3

Anyone know how I can extract just the Radio rom from this? or can someone post it please as an EXE. I am so sick of 99% of all my calls being ended at or around hte 7 minute mark and again at 14 minutes about 50 percent of time i lose signal and the call and it comes back in a minute or two. the radio on this device is lackluster at best.
any help would be great.
im using the 217 rom with the 112 radio and its the same as the 217 radio pretty much love to try this new radio to see if its better.

New Rom
I flashed my wizard with this Rom and everything seemed fine. After about 30 mins of use and once I had re-installed my apps (pocket plus, tomtom, voice command , total commander) i noticed very poor startup times on applications.
To start TomTom it took 55 seconds.
Anyone else have this problem?

K-Jam upgrade

When im trying to upgrade my phone it goes through the normal steps and then i get an error msg saying something about invalid vendor id.
Please help, i would like to upgrade my firmware. For some reason my phone decided to stop playing sound. I can only hear somebody or the phone tones if i plug in the headset. Once plugged out there's no sound. It vibrates only.
Please HELP!!

For your first issue, search the Forums for CID Unlock, LokiWiz or aWizard...
For the sound issue, I've read posts where other users have experienced hardware failure of the 'switch' indicating that you have a wired headset plugged in. Without the headset attached does the headset graphic appear on the phone dialer screen? (might have to call voicemail to be sure)

Your phone is probably locked. You need to unlock it first. Read this:

Sound Issue
Ok, i have phone my voicemail but do not see any headset icon. But normally there's no icon on my phone. I cannot enable speakerphone. It was working this morning. I then plugged my headset in and after i unplugged it the sound was not working. Any ideas??

:x Now when i choose unlock cid the phone reboots after finished, but when i want to upgrade i still get the vendor id problem. Ideas?

Are you already running one of the 2.x Roms? CID unlocking does not work on them. You will need to downgrade to an earlier 1.x Rom, CID unlock and then upgrade. {Gentle nudge} all if this info is avaliable by reading the unlocking threads.

Anyone have an idea where I can get this Radio Rom i have been looking all all day but have come up empty.

I think this is a modify/updated version of the US ROM as it has alot of US ralted cbs in the Ext. ROM and also it's missing some of the EU features.
But it's fast and it's stable, add some of the EU specific features and I'll have the perfect ROM. Please TMo, do hurry.

kjam giving a very very peculiar problem

dear friends ,
my kjam is appx 1 month old today suddenly it went dead in respect to all sounds means every thing works except the following
1. the other side cannot hear my voice (complete silence )
2. i cannot hear the other person (complete silence)
3. cannot get the k jam to make any sound coming from it be it tapping the phone or getting the alarm to ring
fiddled with sound and notification setting but to no avail
i have hard resetted the phone 3 times as my phone if bought officially in india i downloaded the WW rom from the imate site as i have the same rom in the device hoping that it would sort the problem but to my surprise once the device entered the bootloader mode i got the message "invalid vendor error"
then i downloaded lokiwiz to cid unlock the phone and after successfullly executing it tried to reflash the imate wwe rom and am still getting the same message
would appriciate help from all who can offer solutions to this issue that i am having

i would expect that the sounmd issues it is not a software issue, but a hardware one. if it is only a month old then manufacturers warranty should have covered it. but with the reflashing you have tried, you may no longer be covered. good luck!

but i hope you are wrong as i have tried to flash it with the original imate kjam wwe rom downloaded from their club imate site which is the same one on the device even now every thing is working except what i stated on my 1st post also i connected it to my BT handsfree and was able to both talk and be heared but there was no sound while tapping etc further what surprised me was if my device is connected to BT handsfree on an incoming call the phone would ring which did not happen when not connected to the BT
frz , tried to flash it with the programme u sent it said no rom found even though i launched it from the same folder in which the kjam rom is in
could it be due to a hardware failure the device does not allow flashing of the rom ??

sent the device to the imate service centre and it was repaired with in 2 hrs the problem wasthe audio jack that had to be replaced phones working fine but have not tried to reflash it
i need information on the following
1) if i can flash to wm6 and later if required re-flash the device back to the original wwe rom and if this can be done without changing my current ipl and spl which is 2.16
2) will the radio version also goback to the original wwe or will it remain the same as per wm6 rom

Upgrade stop at 99%

hi everybody,
When I'm trying to upgrade my wizard, the process always stop at 99%.
I have try with several rom and it's always the same kind of problem. These just one Rom that is working the Wizard_Love_2.26.10.2.
Do someone have any clue of how to upgrade my phone with a wm6 rom?

How long have you waited? I've seen it sometimes take 10 minutes or something until it finished..

The windows sofware send me an error and then the update stop..

Your phone is locked. I had the same error, also need to lower your Rom.

I already have flashed my rom to a lowest one for instance "WM5SE rev 4.0 - WM5 without stylus but style" (this one work without any kind of problem). Then I have tryed to update with a WM6 one and it stop at 99% or I have the message "Invalid upgrade toll".
Do someone have had the same kind of pbl and solved it?

i had the same problem a few days ago and all i did was downgrade it to buttons rom and then upgrade it to the tomobile2.26 and everything installed correctly.

Trinity running 6.1 Elegance- totally bricked - please help me!!

Hi all,
I have been visiting these forums for 2 years now and have downloaded some great tools and ROMs to enhance my Trinity, however something all of a sudden has gone very wrong!
I upgraded to WM6.1 Elegance edition about 3/4 months ago, CID unlocked the phone about a month ago and everything has been working like a dream.
However just today, I attempted to turn the volume down on my phone during a meeting (I always forget to normally!) and there was no display. After few battery resets, again no display. It starts up, loads the the Elegance splash screens and then hangs on the screen before when the OS should appear.
My decision was to flash the ROM again. I cant flash using Activesync as it wont pick up on the hung screen, so I started the bootloader and got as far as 1% of the flash and it will restart. So I tried the SD Card method when resulted in a "loading" screen appearing for a few seconds and then it goes back to the standard bootloader and displayed a 00068002 error.
I am out of ideas, I hear mtty.exe is a good program for this kind of thing, but what I want to know is if this is fixable or if I should give up!
I have been working on this since 2pm today none stop!
Can any of you guys give me any suggestions please?!?!?

Should be a cinch
Did you SPL the Phone before flashing roms?
If you put the phone into the bootloader mode The RGB screen and kill of activesync you should be able to run one of the flash update programs.
If I have flashing problems its usually Active sync so I kill it then run the flash program.
I've got a sneaky suspision your battery might be causing the problem.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. As I was new to upgrading I havent used SPL on the phone before flashing the ROMS. I did use an unlock tool recently as i wanted to try a different network SIM to see if it worked when I was in South America, so the phone is unlocked to all networks. Are you saying if I SPL now it should sort the problem out? If so how do I do this withour ActiveSync working - can you use SD?
Another thing I failed to mention was that when I start an upgrade and it follows all the steps, it doesnt say the current ROM on the screen where you press update ROM. It just gives the name of the new ROM and the current one is left blank.
I have disabled Active Sync before attempting the update. It seems to go through fine and then the phone restarts wafter 1% of the update.
What makes you think it is the battery? I am happy to spend under 20 pound on ebay if you think it will fix the issue!

try unbrick.bat.......my trinity was also stuck.......unbrick.bat save my day....

The same happened to me several time....I could not find a solution other than this one:
1. Flash the official HTC ROM.
2. Flash the required ROM then.
it works for my TrinTy.
