Hi,
I tryed to flash on my T-mobile MDA the ITA ROM .nba by using aWizard.
I have performed the follow action:
1) CID unlock
2)enable RAPI
3)backup ROM
4)flashed Italian ROM
After this I have hard resetted the phone but do not startup...remain stuk in splash screen.
I was been able to fix this by using latest T-mobile SW upgrade.
Where I have fault?
How I can replace the T-mobile english rom to QTEK ITA rom?
IPL:2.21.001
OS:2.21.2.6

I have a Vodafone VPA Compact II (HTC Wizard) in German.
I will relocate to USA and I want to update my phone OS etc. into English (Cingular ROM).
I know that I have to first unlock my phone and I used both Lokiwiz02b and aWizard 1.3 beta 2 in order to unlock my phone. And these programs let me know that my phone is unlocked.
"Your phone is now unlocked...."
I have tried both "U. Unlock" and "C. CID Unlock (SuperCID)".
Than I have tried to install Cingular ROM "RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship.exe" but I still get error msg 294.
Than I tried other Cingular file "Cingular_Custom_AKU2.3_Combo_Installer_V1.exe" and it was installed without any problem. But I have still German in my phone. As I understand this file installs only Extended ROM of Cingular.
Now I need to install an English ROM and when possible a Cingular one.
Any tip?

I have found a solution.
Lokiwiz02b does not work for AKU2 ROMs. I've just downgraded my ROM into an older version and than applied Lokiwiz02b CID unlock with success.
Than I upgraded my ROM into new Cingular 8125 one and works great!

Since 2 days I'm surfing on the forums and triying to find a solution for my non working Qtek 9100.
The bootloader can still work but when I try to install any Qtek rom (already tried every released ROM) my Qtek holds on the splash screen.

If your phone has not been CID unlocked (you can cid unlock only if you have a 1.xx rom) then the only roms you can install are Qtek roms WITH A GREATER VERSION NUMBER AND IN THE SAME LANGUAGE OF THE ONE CURRENTLY INSTALLED.
This means that if you have a german qtek rom, say ver. 2.01, then you can only install a german qtek rom version 2.02 or greater. Other languages roms, even if from qtek, cannot be installed.
Of course there are ways to circumvent this limit but before i go on explaining, it would be useful if you could provide more information:
- rom version
- IPL/SPL version (softreset to know)
- CID locked??? (did you use lokiwiz or awizard???)

I have a problem changing the rom of my dutch tmobile to the either tmobile UK version or Qtek. Worked fine on my old vario but this one seems to have the AKU2 if i am not wrong.
How can i check if i have AKU2 and or G3 or G4?
Tried lokiwiz CID unlock.... nothing
Also tried aWizard CID unlock...
still not able to downgrade or replace the rom with a qtek.

I was able to upgrade the rom to a newer Tmobile NL version .. but thats as far as it got..

Which Rom was on it before,a wwe or some other language version ? if it was other language version,than replace the RomUpdateUtility (RUU) in the present WWE Rom with ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.zip and flash.
I have a VPA compact II which is bricked. it only shows the bootloader screen with IPL 2.21 and SPL 3.08.0001. Nothing that i tried has worked. I need the original ROM, can anyone help in where to find it please?
