How can I return to wm 2003?

Please help me! I installed wm 5 but the camera doesn't work. I'd like to return to the 2003 version, but I dont't know how. The downgrade pack doesn't work with my i-mate pda2k and I don't Know how to do! I had an italian version and now my pocket pc is in english. Can you help me! I am new here and I don'tspeack english very well

Oh, and if your camera doesn't work, you have done something wrong. Because with an upgrade done right the camera works.

this post is for the most experts I think.
I have done a bad upgrade/downgrade to my blue angel vodafone v1620 so,
before I have got an PH20B2 and now I have only a PH20B.
This is terrible!
I can't do anything now, no upgrade, no downgrade and, my radio doesen't work because the radio rom I can't install on it.
So I have only a win mob 2003 WWE without radio.
I have read all from this forum and wiki and I have tried a lot of file but I can't solve this problem without your precios SoS.
Someone could help me?

upgrade the radio with noid app

i have a similar problem, before upgrading i had a ph20a2 and now have ph20a1... flashing with noid doesn't change it back... any suggestions?

i mean MAUpgradeUT_NOID.exe, and leave radio rom only in that folder, and the radio rom should be for your device only, this mess happens when you upgrade to a rom version which is not for your device

OK i know you are new.. and maybe, just maybe a bit nervous because you have a device you cant use..
READ THE DAMN WIKI ALREADY!
There are so many ways to upgrade a rom, or extract it,
Let me give you a little hint.. Use that really bright shiny search button up there.. (ok so its not bright and shiny, but it is there!)
Press the down arrow, choose advanced search,
then type in MaUpgradeUt_noID,
then make sure that the forum is BlueAngel (on the right!)
then hit search...
That will bring all the posts with the words MaUpgradeUt_noID in the BlueAngle section of the forum.
There will be on that explains how to extract the radio for a released update..
and how to install it using MaUpgradeUt_noID instead of the other installers.
Multiple posting is stoopid.. This is the 3rd post i have seen from you regarding your device that you could have solved using your own head, and searching for the answer istead of sitting on your backside waiting for someone to post the link to solve all your problems.
I know this sounds harsh, and scarcastic, and a tad evil... EVERYTHING I HAVE LEARNED ABOUT A HTC DEVICE, I HAVE LEARNED FROM THIS SITE,
and reading the wiki, and google, and all kinds of other services...
there is no shame in asking for help.. just exhaust all other options first!

didn't solve the problem, after flashing only with radio oryginal setup still say wrong device

I have a german Touch but i want it to be ENGLISH!

Ok, this is my first post and sorry it has to be such a newbie type question. (But i am! LOL)
Problem:
I have a HTC Touch Diamond that is in German but i speak english (An Australian stuck in germany for work!)
Next Problem
I know enough to know i need to flash the ROM to an english one. But can someone kinda spoon feed me and give the link to the ROM i need. I am getting kinda lost on which rom i should flash with.
I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO READ MY PHONE...IN ENGLISH (I dont speak a word of german!) LOL!
Any help would be GreAT!

You should search this forum better to know that you will need the (unsigned) hard SPL to flash to a WWE ROM if you have a German ROM at this moment.
Look under ROM development for the Hard SPL...

ok i flashed it with the hard SLP it installed and work. Rebooted reinstalled all the applications. Only problem it is still in german and i want it to be in English.
Sorry for asking what may seem simple questions to you more experianced guys it just i dont even know what a "hard SLP" even is...i just want my phone to me in english.

For christ sake man... if you have manged to flash the Hard SPL, you apparently have read the explanation. That also says what hard SPL is... it is not a ROM. So you're probably still using the same ROM, and not the WWE ROM.
No pun intended, but you should seriously try a bit harder yourself.

Just a thought, but if you do a hard reset, won't it ask when you first start the phone what language you want for the interface?

I did take the SPL file and copied it to the device as instructed. But still german.
Just a thought, but if you do a hard reset, won't it ask when you first start the phone what language you want for the interface?

No i did not get the option at all when restarting the device.
So.......205_lacoste....tell me i am a retard again I still have no clue! I know i could spend the next three days studing all this tech **** and understand it ... but i am to busy and I dont really want to spend the time learning all this stuff, so i dont ask dumb questions. And to be honest i dont really want to know all this stuff i just want my phone in english. So i spent a few hours on it and then couldnt work it out, and posted a thread. I thought that was fair.
If anyone would like to offer suggestions, please do.

If you want to use official ROM in English, you have to change the code into German one. Then you can download English ROM. Your Diamond accepts only German ROM now.

download this:

1) Download, extract to an empty folder.
2) Run RomUpdateUtility.exe, Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile
3) follow steps, check device for prompts after PC shows loading bar.
4) SPL flashes, job done.

after that you are able to flash every signed rom, like this one:

download the 0.53 premium 0409 version!
extract to an empty folder and run rom.exe
some advice i want to give you:
- you'll have to know what you're doing, since you can transform your device in a 500€ piece of crap, so
- try to learn some german. it would be a nice start to let somebody explain your device.

Don't mean to be 'evil', but it bothers me that people are usually too lazy to find things out themselves, while the information is available.
The ROMs are officially not interchangeable between area's, that's why you could not flash the WWE ROM. The unsigned hard SPL is not a ROM (does not contain an Operating System), but it is a replacement for the (I think it is called) bootloader and it doesn't include the area lock. So with the current Hard SPL you are able to flash the WWE ROM you've tried earlier. Then all will be in English.
So all you have to do now is to run the WWE .exe file, and flash as normal.

but he asked to flash nike / touch dual rom ... thats just wrong.

You need to re-flash your ROM with an English one.

yeah but i write this to know wich version i have to put in my phone any way thank you

the majority of the roms here are english, and if they aren't they are clearly marked what language they are. If you check out the wiki theres a list or Cooked and Shipped roms. I suggest selecting one of the latest cooked roms.
Side not, WWE stands for world wide english. So if you see a rom with WWE in the filename, you might want to try it out.

Haha, yes, I have to agree with this post.
If you can't speak english very well, there are a lot of foreign members at the xda's site, from all around the world, so you should seek for someone from your homeland

so either he wants it back to the latest 6.1 rom or want the latest which is 6.5.5.

Oddly enough this was also my interpretion of his post. But nice to know you are willing to help him with flashing & translation
Think whats he's trying to do is update to latest wm6.1 and has HSPL 1.14 on device. So he'll need to use HSPL 1.56 and then flash rom
