i have upgraded my k-jam with the
"MrClean_RUU_WIZARD_224a_AKU23_WWE"
after the update the device is running very slow, usb is not functioning at all, yellow led doesnt lid, no chargeing.
when i'm entering the "power settings" it sais "main battery: unknown"
now i cant run the rom update again because the usb is no working.
Please help!
now i learnd how to use the bootloader and i updated to a different rom:
"Cingular_RUU_WIZARD_217_AKU2_WWE"
and the problem remains.

What was the original ipl and spl version on the phone before updating?
I had the exact same problem as you see and I upgraded to the latest Cingular official release by installing through the bootloader. Maybe you can try that, unless there is something in the MR. clean release you really need?

I solved the problem myself by downgrading to an old rom and unlocking
The CID.
And then upgraded again.
If anyone needs an explanation please feel free to ask.

I seem to be having a weird error when I try to unlock the ext rom or unhide it. I can see the folder in my programs folder, but when I click on unhide, nothing happens and when I click on unlock I get a debug error which says "FL_IOCTL_BDTL_HW_PROTECTION - The parameter is incorrect" . I dont know why it keeps doing it. I have tried to upgrade to the latest rom version but after getting in the bootloader mode, in the utility screen it does not show me the new version of the rom, the only thing it shows me is that my device will be upgraded to 5.3.2, which is what i currently have.
Any idea why its doing what its doing?????

If I remember correctly, Extended ROM unlocker is not working under WM5.
Not able to upgrade to 5.1.1700
As you say aybe the unlocker does not work with WM5, so I downgraded to the original factory version of 1.42. At this point the unlocker worked fine. So I tried to upgrade it to the latest version of 5.1.1700, but as soon as the utility screen comes up, it shows me that my rom will be upgraded to 5.03.02 which is what i have had all this while. So I upgraded it back to the same version and just upgraded to the latest radio version. When I try to use the unlocker again in this 5.03.02 version I still get that same error.
Can anyone please help me to upgrade to the latest rom version 5.1.1700 and tell me what this error means.

I think we have a slight misunderstanding here. 5.03.02 and 5.1.1700, here are exactly the same. 5.03.02 is the ROM version, while 5.1.1700 is the OS version of the ROM. So 5.03.02 IS 5.1.1700 actually.
So, one prob solved, how about this one....
First of all, thank you KTamas for helping me out on this one and clearing out this problem of Rom versions.
I have another question though, what is this wizard rom? and how different is it from the one that I just installed? I was trying to install the wizard rom before I installed the one that I have right now, but got stuck in the middle when I had to create the EXTROM folder and transfer the contents after editing the edit.bat file. I was not able to transfer the getdeviceid.txt file from my phone to my pc for some odd reason and so was not able to do much on that.

hello, everybody, i just upgraded my O2 XDA MINI S with AKU 3.2, it stopped at 99%.
Now, my phone cannot start up, cannot connect with PC at all.

you must install a rom with bootloader 1.x eg.(buttons 1.05 rom)first then a rom with bootloader 2.x eg.(molski 30mb rom) then you can install a AKU3.2 rom.
this solved my 99% hang and i am 99% sure it will solve it for you. please reply if it works.

if you waited to long during the hang and the battery drained then i think you might have a brick if not soft reset and install buttons rom
it it is in bootloader mode then the rom installer will connect to the device

Before anyone can REALLY help you you need to post a little more info.
What IPL/SPL Versions are currently on your device.
Do you know if you have a G3 or G4 flashchip?

I tried to flash my Charmer with the new german Aku 3.3. At first everything seems to be ok, but at 95% it stops and i got the Message: update error- there is an comunication problem! So what can i do? I tried to flash the old rom back but there comes also at 95% a message: invalid command - nfb file cannot be used for your pda!
Please help me !

Go to bootloader mode, then try to flash RUU rom (1.x). You can find it on Charmer wiki.
It doesn`t work too, it always stops at 95% has anyone another idea?

Yes i tried hard reset, but it is always in bootloader!
I have also the same problem. Tried to upgrade to version 3.3. Everytime it stops at 80%. I don't know why?! I can repair it with the software and re-run it. But it has the same effect.
Now i will try to downgrade to 2.6 again. I really don't understand what causes the problem. I hope i will get this thing running again....
EDIT: I reflashed the device with the older 2.6 ROM and it is working right now. However I didn't really get why it gets stuck at 80% with 3.3 ?!?!

The aku3.3 is up to date the bootloader version!!!
IPL and ISP version now is 3.00.

I can´t downgrade to AKU 2: Please order a newer Version.
Every try to upgrade to AKU 3.3 failed at 95% with Error 326.

I got the same problem with them and my first pda uk rom already empty screen and then i try with my scrond pda German rom it the same problem and now just only show in bootloader screen.Have i ask someone who knowage about this he told me that if SLP in you PDA have chang it be hard to repair.So,I think I lose 2 PDA did I try to flash in T-Mobile Official Rom de that i hope to develop it but i hve to kill 2 Charmer.Who take responsibilities,T-Mobile right ???
Ok no problem you can repair it! At first you have to brand your device with the rom you want to! After 95% the Problem will come again! When it stops you have to go with a reset to bootloader again.When your device is in bootloader you have to install the Radio Rom from this thread:

After that your device will be able to boot again and it should work!- But the Problem during the installation will stay,so you have always to use this way to flash your Mda compact II!
In the new rom there must be a problem with the radio rom and this causes the broken device.

You can try different Radio Rom versions, i have flashed the v.247.11 and it worked.

Always post the data of your your phone,to get help.
secondly you had a bad flash,perhaps your phone is CID locked. Which rom were you trying to flash ?
Now to recover,download the official carrier's rom and flash it while in bootloaders.The phone will start working again in default status,then,Read and understand the unlocking method and the flashing guide,read the stickies carefully and perform the method correctly.

i removed the simlock with lockwizb and a tried to put airfawizard rom on it so now i have this tricolord screen en there is nothing i can do.. tried to update i with the original carrier rom but it says update error so in seems it can't see my phone or something but my usb is plugged in i hope i can fix this i only can see this blue green red screen it drives me crazy hope you can help me.....

If you can go to boot loader, most likely you will be ok. When you plug in the usb port, does the words in the screen change from serial to USB? Once it changes, then flash your official, and then CID unlock your device (this is different from SIM unlock). Then flash to the ROM you want!!

The only thing it does is going to bootloader and when i plug my usb in it say usb but when i try to install my original rom from t-mobile ( a update ) it says it's looking for information on my mda but after a couple of second it's say UPDATE ERROR i use windows vista can that be a problem? and how do i know wich one is the original..?

Vista dont like upgrading and stuff...but there is a work around, search the forum and see if you find it. Or try using XP.

I attempted an upgrade to WM6 using an Upgrade .Bat from this site. I was slightly impatiant due to not being able to complete the downgrade first anyway the upgrade frose, after a while I canceled the update and carried out a hard re-set... Since then I'm not able to boot nor connect to my desktop via Active sync (WMDC (Vista))
I've followed every instruction I can find but only to be meet with RUU Errors saying can't connect or file open. I can however acces my Bootloader screen and when connection is made the USB symbol shows on the screen of my phone...
Any help would be greatly recieved......

Please try to read posts regarding updating your unit. You can brick your phone if you don't know what you are doing.

I have the same problem
but can't instal bootloader or flash any ROM
I tryed to flash the original rom but it stucks to 13%
I tryed to instal many bootloaders but when it cames to 100% it says that image is corruped (error 270)

OK. I've had that problem before when I first got my Trinity. Been through a lot of trial and errors before I was able to do it correctly. I don't know if this can help but this is how I did it. Usual warning.... I am not responsible if you brick your device.
Just look for the following files in the Trinity thread and install them in the following order:
1. HTC Trinity SIM & CID Unlock - v1
2. Install Olipro 1.20
3. Now I don't know if this should be done but I read somewhere that you should upgrade your Radio version so I installed "Trinity_Radio1.56.70.11"
Even though I have done these steps already I always do them again WHENEVER I install a new ROM. It does not hurt to repeat them.
If you are getting "error vender id" message then it means that your unit is locked again so you have to unlock it again like I said in my previous post. You must have installed an official ROM previously which will lock your phone again.
