What do you put in YOUR extended ROM - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

I wanted to see what people are putting in their Extended ROM.
Also has anyone put WISBAR Advance 2 Extended ROM?

The only CAB files that I put in my Roms/Extended Roms are the tweak CAB files on www.molski.biz

ROM Editor for WM5

Can anyone explain to me how to edit the ROM upgrade file (nk.nbf).
I would like to add my own files to the extended rom (just like I could in the Himalaya days . . .
Maybe someone finds the time to program a WM5 version of ER2003Edit ???
I would love to see this too, I really miss er2003edit, but didn't it edit ms_.nbf, the extended rom file?
I use this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=34171
and flash back using aWizard. Everything work fine, and you will find that there is a lot of free space inside the rom.

It does, but with the Wizard, there is only one .nbf file. With Himalaya there were 3.

Tmo 2.26 ROM with Cing customizations

I am currently using the 2.25.11.1 WWE Cingular ROM from HTC (with Cing service) on my unlocked MDA. I have tried other ROMs (including the 2.3 ROM) but the 2.25 seems to be the best at re-aquiring a signal after loosing it for a long time (I work in a building without signal). I would like to try the 2.26 ROM from T-mobile, but I hate the color scheme and other customizations. Is their an easy way to get the Cing customizations and the T-mo ROM? I have read others ask for one of the whiz kids in this forum to cook a ROM with this recipe.
I know how to not install the customizations (reboot during the 3 sec countdown), but I am not sure how to get the Cing customizations loaded. If nobody wants to cook a ROM, can someone provide me instructions on loading a Cing extended ROM? Thanks in advance.
I'm using the new TM 2.26 and I had / have your same requests. I love the sumitter Cingular 2.25 and also the special ROM that faria made for me but I'm happier with this one.
I installed the ROM and bypassed the Extended Rom installation as you mentioned. I haven't created a custom ROM as of yet, one day! One thing that has helped me is doing full installations of all the published ROM's here starting with 1.05. I then extracted the contents of the Extended Roms with Total Commander. ( I keep all these cabs on my Storage Card)
With this particular ROM I'm happy with the following (and bear in mind I'm a simple man with simple needs ..)
Cingular Connection Wizard cab is included below.
I also use both of molski's registry cabs at Molski.nL Customizing Tweaks and also at Molski.nL Performance Registry Tweaks
I'm also kinda partial to Dr.Shultz's contribution to the Eten dialskins at http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=48325&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=150
Add Microsoft Voice Command with a few other goodies and you've got a bad ass phone IMO ...
Actually I forgot Smartskey at http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=41060
And also wclose is very nice to put in your windows directory and then copy a shortcut to your windows\startup directory.
In addition you might want to add faria's alternative extended_rom+splash screens for summiter ROMhere/ to change that T-Mobile splash screen...
New as of 8-18-2006
Took the time and found the Cingular Connection Wizard cab from the latest Cingular ROM. (I just LOVE installing ROM's to copy off the extended_rom directory ... ) I like it better as it doesn't have the proxy settings, etc..
Wow I put so much time into that reply and no one had anything to say ...
I'll try harder next time!
Thanks
Steve,
That was real informative. Like you I love sumitter’s ROMs but have not seen him post in a month or so. I am going to try this this weekend when I return home from the road.
Thanks for you imput. 8)

ROM: 2.26.10.2 WWE
IPL: 2.26
SPL: 2.26
Radio: 2.25.11
ExtROM:
- Default_Signed_DisableSecurity
- Molski.nL_Performance Registry_Tweaks
- Molski.nL_Customizing_Tweaks
- MP-Shorcut-MMS1-Voice-CV-TMUS-060404
Also with a custom created Splash Screen
Looking forward to it molski!

Hope it helps someone!

Most Stable Rom with Fastest Boot?

Which ROM(s) can boot as quick as 2.25 and is the most stable? I am using 2.25 and don't like it because of the dropped calls issue. I've used 2.17 but the reboot times are attrocius.
TIA
You can try my Rom from www.molski.biz
It's a T-Mobile 2.26.10.2 Rom, but then Cleaned from all the T-Mobile stuff.
You can find the description/details of what is in the Extended Rom of my Rom on the page where my Roms are.

I've been using Gamescan's Mr. Clean AKU 2.3 for a couple months now on an 8125 using TMO. It's very stabe, has excellent reception, and is very fast.
At first one finds a shorter battery life. However, after a week or so, the battery life seems to get back to normal.
I have had the least issues with this ROM. I never have to soft reset.
molski how to enter your site?
I know it's a dummy question, but I can see only homepage - no option to proceed (IE & Firefox checked)
In the left frame (under the logo) you should see a Java Pulldown Menu. There you can navigate on my website.
If it doesn't work here are 2 links directly to the Rom Files
2.26.10.2 Dutch Rom
2.26.10.2 WWE Rom
Regards,
Molski
p.s. All my websites work in IE and FF on my laptop
Maybe it's a MS Java issue, it doesn't like original Sun's release (I've got both on my PC)
Thank you very much for the links :!:
My website should work with the Sun Java Packages. I also use Sun Java instead of MS Java.
But for now you got 2 direct links to the files you want
Molski
I have installed Molski's ROM into my Vodafone VPA Comtact II and I think it is the best one that I have ever seen until now.
Thanks guy!
Qtek or one of the other brand's?
Hi
Did you changed the T-mobile to Qtek branding on this Rom?
All the programs on the Qtek original Rom are available on this one?
Do you notice any Speed increase running programs like Igo or Tom tom, in my standard Qtek Rom 2.17 the GPS programs seem a bit slow.
Tkx

That's a great question. I feel stupid. What usually goes into a Cingular Extended ROM?

Molski, installed your ROM and everthing is working great. Thanks. Just wondering, I tried to run a few apps and I get an error that I do not have the latest version of .NET Compact Framework installed. Where do I get and how do I install the latest version? Thanks!

You can get the latest version [version 2 I think] of .NET Compact Framework at freecabs.de it will be in a .cab format, so just download it via wi-fi on your PPC or to your PC, then Active sync and copy file to your device or storage card. Execute the file from the device.

Making Rom Kitchen Components Cab Files For New ExtRom

My question is simple for all you rom makers out there. I want to be able to take Xplodes zip file of WindowsLive and turn in into a Cab so i can put in into ExtRom. I don't know how to do it with xplodes latest kitchen. I am sure someone knows and has probably taken some if not all components in the kitchen and made them cab files. Any help would be appreciated.
