Where to buy an original XDA 2i case? - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

Hi,
Basically I got my Vario II a couple weeks ago, so I am ready to sell my 2i.
The problem is I have got quite a lot of scratches on the case of the 2i, so I am wondering if anyone know where I can get a replacement case for it?
Thanks.

Replacement cover for the XDA

Hi,
My XDA fell out of my top pocket the other day and has now got a big dent in the cover. Can anyone tell me where I might buy a replacement cover preferably in the UK without having to send it away to O2 and be charged £75 for the privilage?
Spare O2 cover
Hi there,
I have an almost new 02 frontcover for you.
All the buttons in place of course.
Would this help?
Best regards,
Murk
Murk,
Thanks for the reply, but the whole case is a bit sad now, so I am really after a complete new (or as-new) case.
If you don't mind having it look like the T-Mobile XDA, just browse eBay and look for a Dummy T-Mobile XDA ($10-15US). Then take the dummy apart and your existing XDA and eventually swap the cases (front & back).
It takes a little bit of time taking it apart and transferring the mic/speaker/vibrate device/battery - but it's easy, just have to be careful and smooth.
Also, some folks say that the dummy phones are cheap plastic.... well, the case is identical to the original T-Mobile XDA so dispell that myth.
I just did this 'operation' myself today and now have a brand new looking XDA (I had the infamous paint peeling case. Couldn't get it replaced since I had it RAM upgraded).
Front and Backcover
Hee Angus,
It seems my first relpy did not make it.
I have a complete case for you.
I would prefer to hold on the backcover as the battery is in there.
But if you want it I could provide them to you with or without the
battery.
Let me know.
Best regards,
Murk
Do have a spare vibration motor? I really need one, mine broke.

need a new xda casing

hi there
i just got myself a Wallaby to experiment with the PPC world and so far have been enjoying it greatly.
the thing is, the Wallaby that i got has crack and scratches and i un really like it. as such i would like to buy a new casing.
i tried doing searches and pm-ing those who sold cases but did not get a reply. i guess the information could have been outdated.
as such i would like to ask if there is any place that i can get an XDA casing. i live in singapore and would thus appreciate a site/person who does international shipping if it is located overseas.
also while we're on the topic of replacement, are there any good sites/members selling other accessories as well?
looking forward to your replies. thank you so much in advance.
i got extra casing 1
i got slightly use casing. minor scratch. [email protected] email me if intersted. i send piccture
you can also try contacting the company that repackaged it like mine is from I-Mate, yours may be from O2 you can contact them and they will charge but replace it, I was given a price of $85.00 for them to replace my PDA2K housing and a new battery.

Searching for a case with room for the extended battery

Hello folks,
I've just got hold of an extended battery for £12 (from ebay) and now I need a new case for my Wallaby as my current one won't fit it any more. I've been having a search around the Internet but so far no joy so I was wondering if anyone here has found a case with room for the extended battery in the UK.
Regards,
Neil.
XDA/Wallaby Executive Case
I use the XDA I (Wallaby) with the battery backpack.
It fits fine inside the o2 XDA Executive case. You can get this case on eBay.co.uk for £7.49
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5876480155
They also have other genuine XDA I and II accessories.
Mobilez
Thanks for the reply but I found just the right case at http://www.ebcases.com/Detail.bok?no=3193 - it took a while to get here via its transatlantic journey but arrived all well and good after a few weeks.

Neil.

Changing Vario III housing to TyTN II

Hey everyone
Basically Im wanting to change the housing/fascia on my Vario III to the TyTN II housing and was just wondering if anybody has any experience doing this and how easy/difficult it was?
Been searching the net for tutorials on how to do it but so far found nothing!
Also the only place i can find to buy the housing in the UK is ebay but i dont have a paypal account so paying for this would be difficult so would rather use somewhere that i can just use my debit card to pay for it.
Any help would be greatly appreciatted.
Regards
Jamzi
For realz yo.. Paypal be de most easiest ting to setup.
Is the Vario that ugly? I have taken a tilt apart (a friends dog chewed on the thing) and I would say that it's not worth doing unless you really need to.
I've swapped mine to a standard HTC case from a rather scuffed vodafone branded one. I decided to just replaced the front cover around the screen and the battery cover as the main body was fine and I really couldn't be bothered to strip the motherboard out.
Although now I've bought a seido slim case you can't see it anyway, but least it looks better if I want to sell it.
Unless yours is really bad its not really worth it but fairly easy to do if your quite used to that sort of thing and have the right tools.

why change...???? the buttons on the Vario 3 are the best!!! just gently scratch away the T-Mobile logo with a scalpel, if that`s what you don't like.
I did that and it lookes great.
EDIT: Picture
Re
why didnt you bought a unbranded tytn in the first place...
it looks a little bit like car tuning, someone figures out his 1,1 liter engine is to small and decide to swap it with a 2.0 liter engine. at the end the cost are higher than buying a 2 liter in the fiirst place....
just scrap off the logo, flas a wwe rom on it and go. I think the cost and risk of damaging your fone are a lot higher then selling and rebuy a normal tilt...
I'll buy your vario III housing
id buy it as well, PM if you may want to trade or something. BTW: I have the OEM TyTn II Housing in great shape.
