Is there anyone selling the LCD screen for Xda 2i here? Please leave the price. Thanks in advance
I was goimg to stick my IIi on ebay but it has a faulty headphone socket but you can have the screen for £25 +p&p. It's had a screen protector on since the beginning so assuming it comes off easy it should be in good condition!
John
Oh, that sounds great. COuld you give me the total proce for all the cost please? And where are you? How can we make this business? Or you can contact me by email straightly, which I suppose would be more convenient.

Hi there* I have a T-Mobile PDA with a broken cover and wonder if anybody knows an adress in US or UK where I can buy a new one.*
It would be really great if you could help me out with this* THANKS*
if its still under warranty, contact t-mobile,
if they wont replace it for free, im sure its less than $70
(because thats how much they said they'll bill me, if my replacement turned out to have a cracked case )
i also heard you can use the "DUMMY PHONE" case, ebay $5-20
but that is made from cheap plastic.
Spare cover
Hi,
I have a spare 02 cover for you.
Would that help?
Looks perfect, I can send it to you if you make
me an offer I can't refuse....

I got the screen from here, http://www.runpda.com/ , it cost £93.00
including shipping. But I got stung by customs for £38.00 Tax, rip-off, so it cost me £131.00 in total. I've bought from this part of the world (Asia) before and not been charged by taxman, its just the luck of the draw.
Someone suggested this place in the UK, but I had already ordered, if anybody tries this one, post costs etc for everyone. Mobile Repair Centre in London. 177a North end road 0207 610 3103.
I used this manual to open case, all the instructions are ok,
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Himalaya/Himalaya-Service-Manual/
The only bit that is confusing is the opening of the black plastic cover, basically follow manuals instructions to open cover by pen holder side, then slid a thin piece of plastic in the gap and slid along (I made a plastic tool from cutting a thickish plastic bottle). In the picture it looks like you place it in the SD slot, this is not the case, just slid along the edge of the gap you have created by the pen holder.
i havn t pay Tax, you must tell to runpda, please write GIFT on the package
Well so my screen cracked right down the middle...yea so i was wondering if anyone knows of a trustworthy place to get a replacement screen, and if i buy off ebay is there anything that i should watch for on the purchase itself?
-Thanks

Has anyone had good luck buying this assembly(front housing, glass and LCD) from a particular seller on eBay or elsewhere?
Lots of good/bad comments, just looking for some good feedback of where to get the assembly...
Thanks

Based on what I've seen you'll spend around $40 on eBay. I've seen a few complete working Vivids there and on craigslist at or under $100. I bought one with a bad charge port for $75, cost $10 and took about an hour to fix. Just a thought...
edit: just become aware that there is a seller that frequents this forum. Prices seem reasonable and helped the community by posting a repair guide. Should be worth something...
So I go to order a new oem LCD and digitizer on ebay, found one, bought it and then I get a message from the guy after he ships it out to me saying, 'Hey, I just put your package in the mail, it was the L900 lcd digitizer assembly, right?' .....No, it wasn't it was suppose to have just been the LCD and digitizer, not with the housing still super adhesived on. I have a T889, which is why I was happy to have found that LCD and Digitizer combo for only $90. But the housings are not compatible with T889 and L900, so I would have to run the risk of damaging the LCD/Digitizer of the new one, just to switch it to my T889 housing.
What should I do? Should I mingle and see if someone has a screen they would like to trade? Should I mail it back to him and lose 35% in restocking fees? Should I turn around and sell it? I need my phone for my day to day life and my job. What would you guys do?

Did you use Paypal? If so just contact them about a FULL refund. There is no point in arguing with the guy if it is his fault. In my opinion I would contact the company you used to pay him especially if he is going to try and get a restocking fee out of you for his mistake, that is ridiculous.
Why would he confirm the screen after sending it out? Clearly, he has done this on purpose! Make a dispute claim with eBay and PayPal.
