Have you read the notes for tetherbot? I didn't see that on the Market, so can't verify, but every other tether-related app requires root access.
Its not on the market its an outside app on all the guides I have read they do not say u have to root
okay so I'm trying to follow the steps here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Full_Update_Guide_-_G1/Dream_Firmware_to_CyanogenMod
and I got to the point where you're supposed to connect to the telnet client, but everytime I try to connect it gives me an error message, and I retry the Enterx2->telnetd [enter], but i keep getting the error message. Can anyone help me get past this step?

can you open the telnet client from the app drawer?
Hey. I'm having problems at this stage of the process, too.
The error message I get from the telnet app is;
"Error while receiving from server: Error while reading socket."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Hey guys. I accidently broke my tablet. I tried to unroot it by using fastboot and now, it is bricked. I searched the whole internet to find a solution but I couldnt find it. Is it possible to fix this problem? When I connect the tablet to the pc, it repudiates the tablet. It is named as wm8950 in device manager. Sadly I couldnt find the driver for wm8950. I hope you will help me, thanks!
