since you have a 1.xx rom run the lokwiz to unlock and cid unlock your phone, then you can upgrade to a different rom
might be easier to learn mandarin...

What carrier are you on?
Simplest (and probably safest) way is to go to the official web page and use the ROM upgrades provided.

First, get rid of the red font and all uppercase... sheesh...
Second you need to read and read... You need to understand this stuff before you start flashing or you will find yourself with a dead phone.
I know this is a ton of info, but this post has links to all the great stuff here and you can learn just about anything you want.

I have planed to Upgrade my KJam with Faria's WM6. i have read many articles about it. i want to know what Faria Wrote on the Top of his article <[Faria-htc wizard___WWE WM6 ROM- [the real thing] - xda-developers]> in red, <Extended ROM version Faria v5> if i dont have it, then can i proceed with upgrade to his ROM.I need it. Any body plz provide me link for it.
Secondly i need BOOTLOADER VERSION 2XXX OR ABOVE which he wrote must to have.
rest all i have prepared and downloaded. Ready to upgrade after having these two things.

Its in the ROM. When you put on Faria's WM6, you'll get that (he's just listing what all comes with it).

That means you have to have an IPL / SPL that are both 2.xx or higher. Don't try to do this with either IPL or SPL at 1.xx
You will have to CID Unlock your device first. So read and follow this guide (and the posts it takes you too). Don't skip steps and check your work as you go and you'll be fine

Key is, you have to downgrade, CID unlock, downgrade again (to get SPL to 1.xx) then upgrade to an official 2.xx ROM. Only after you do all of that can you then try flashing WM6 (or other custom roms).

I got a used i-mate K-Jam, the x-user was using it just as Phone(for making/recieving calls/sms). So all things(ROMs) are genuine which is
IPL 2.16
SPL 2.16
GSM 02.07.10
OS 2.16.9.1
U have cleared my confusion, so now i can proceed with Faria's WM6 (CB-AIRAF.exe 62.1 file size)
I have made a backup using aWizard (by ahlok_hk).
I also Unlocked it using aWizard (it was locked or not?i dont know, but i went through the Unlock Process & saw the msg that ur device is Unlocked now)Plz tell me how to know which device is CID locked or unlocked.
All things are ripped now...so i can go ahead with Faria's WM6...what do u say...?

I've never CID Unlocked that way. I've always used the links I pointed you to in my previous post. As far as I know there is no way to know if you are CID Unlocked for sure until you flash a new ROM. If it appears to work, but only the splash screens change (and everything else is just like it was before) then you are not CID Unlocked.
you can give it a try, but personally I'd recommend you do the steps in my previous post as that method definetly works.

i have tried to install few WEE rom versions but it doesn't work!
i also tried to install the official rom from HTC official site, but they don't let me download the wwe rom couse i have the newest version allredy...
please help me - i need the WWE ROM for HTC Diamond!!
i have OS 5.2.19591 (build 19591.1.1.6)
my spl version is 1.37.00

to begin with, the wiki will help u alot : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
u cant flash your device because its CID locked.. so You should flash HardSpl first to CID Unlock it.
