I cannot delete old alarms: even if they are not present in the Clock & Alarm utility, they are triggered every day, and on wrong times!
Please help me!
Thanks in advance
I think SKTools has something to fix this sort of thing. There is a database of "wakeup" events that needs tidying up.
To clean notification queue:
Disable all clock alarms
Using sktools - delete all events with \windows\clock.exe
But this will only clean notification queue. Bug still exists
Tried this. Used sktools, also used memmaid. Notifications are gone, but when you reboot device, all are back. Any new suggestions?
Don't reboot the device and they won't go away. The device is not meant to be reset -- doing so will prevent data from getting properly written back to memory.

Last week, I spent the week covering a floor; waking up at 4:15AM. I set triple alarms, the phone as the last at 4:20 (set to weekdays).
I changed the alarm to 4:15PM (every day) for saturday, at which it sounded.
I shut the alarm off last night.
The alarm sounded at 4:20 this morning. The alarm is set to off, and changed to 4:15PM (every day).
Any idears?
What fun.
Thanks,
Matt
I've never liked the internal Alarm feature (too unreliable for me).
I better use Gentimer (from Rivia) that allows me to set several different alarms, set Recurrence patterns (everyday, weekdays...), volume, repetition, alarm sound...
tried to set both types of alarms: reset "everyday," reset "weekdays" to a new time.
Still signaling at 4:20
I just deleted: [HKCU\System\State\Shell\Alarms\] binary: Next
But I have a feeling that will have no affect, since it's in the system state, which I believe is read-only.
Does anyone know where the alarm info is kept in the registry?
Thanks,
Matt
How you could set three alarms with default alarm feature? It can set only one alarm at time..
If some alarm is still bugging you it's definitely written in the notification queue database. You need some app that can display it and delete appropriate record. If you won't find any, i can provide you my debug one..

Alright, I've obtained SKTools. There are a lot of items in my Notification Queue, some seem critical.
Can someone help me narrow down which item(s) I should delete?

Entries can probably safely be narrowed down by process name?
Thanks,

None of them is alarm.. Default alarm would have record with process \Windows\clock.exe and would be scheduled to you time. You can check that by setting an alarm and reviewing the notification queue..
However, if you set the alarm using built-in settings, it shouldn't bother you anymore.

You are correct, sir.
No longer sounding at 4:20. I slept through the night. Amazing.
Anyway... I'm not sure what I did to solve it.
Just to summerize: you're saying tha tnay entry with \Windows\clock.exe and a time is an alarm entry. So if there are artifact alarms, deleting these entries from the Notification Queue (which you can do with free SKToolslite {link above}) delete the alarms; because these Notification Queue entries are the alarms.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I had a problem last night where i was testing out the alarm feature. It went off and a small dialogue box popped up and the left button stated 'dismiss', i clicked somewhere other than those areas and then the alarm bell icon went away and the alarm had entered snooze mode - it kept going off every minute or something and there was no way to turn it off.
can anyone shed some light on this if the icon disappears?
also how can i change the alarm tone? going into the sounds and notifications option i get:
''Enable sounds for:
- Events
- Programs:
--Notifications (alarms, reminders)
- Screen taps
- Hardware buttons''
on the second tab called notifications
theres options for ''Event'' allowing to choose an event to assign a sound for it. Theres no Even called alarm or notification but there is one for Reminders. I changed the reminders tone but still that didnt change the alarm tone that went off.
seems the alarm hasnt had much focus during implementation.
thanks,
simba
Change the alarm tone directly on the Clock & Alarms screen. Just tap the little yellow bell thing.
perfect thanks! i didnt know the wee bells were selectable for more features.
anyone else know the solution to the other query?

the exact same thing happened to me too. feels like another bug.
Friends,
I looked high and low for disabling calendar, sms, alarm notifications but can't seem to locate in these threads or if possible.
I am using manilia diamond theme and decided to use vjay toggle to remove the top bar, but unfortunately when a notification pops up, it disables the program and the start menu appears.
please advise.

I believe it's under Start/Settings/Sounds/Notifications, uncheck the unwanted items from the list.
i tried that and they still occur.. i'll try it again... maybe it is just me.
thanx,
tvos
after searching the forum, googling and trying many suggestions without success, a solution to resurrect the reminder and alarm is finally found (for my case).
Winmob 6.1
ROM version: 2.11.Gen.Y WWE (R4.4)
Radio: 1.09.25.23
I reproduced the problem as follows:
* go to settings > personal > sounds & notification. check that the selection "Programs" and "Notifications (alarms, reminders) are ticked
* set an appointment with reminder/alarm 3 minutes from now
* go to standby by pressing power button and wait 5 minutes. check whether alarm rings
* if no, go to setting > personal > sounds & notification and tick the "Events (warnings, system events)"
* recreate an appointment with reminder/alarm 3 minutes from now
* go to standby by pressing power button and wait 5 minutes. check whether alarm rings (it rang in my case)
In order to confirm that the problem is caused by the option "Events (warnings, system events)" you could again untick the option and test the alarm
My dear friend, I am writing only to say you a BIG THANK YOU! I was having problems with the notifications and hard reseted serveral times. I wasn´t able to discover which program was creating this conflict with the notifications alarm, but this simple suggestion solved my problem also.
Thanks!
T-mobile HD2 with stock ROM.
Hey,
I also had the problem with appointment reminders not working and I've found it's problem with the latest version of G-Alarm. First I thought it was problem with one rom, but I reflashed and again and the problem was still there. But when I didn't install the latest version of G-Alarm but the one before (before the redesign) the reminders work again like a charm.
Thread moved to General.
I did a bunch of app updates and rebooted my phone and noticed that the alarm icon was gone from the notification bar. I opened Clock and the Alarm tab was completely blank. I cleared the data of the Clock app and instead of being blank, it said "No Alarms". I tried manually adding an alarm, but it said "No Alarms". I asked assistant to add an alarm, but nothing was actually added. I tried to set a near-future alarm, and nothing happened when the time passed. I tried a few more times and got an ANR dialog.
Clock hasn't updated in months. Carrier Services, Android System WebView and Android Device Policy just updated... but I doubt I can downgrade those. Anyone ever seen the like before? The forum search doesn't seem to like me, much.
12 hours later and 2 more reboots, it's working again... some default looking alarms showed up.
I hate magical fixes...
