I read your previous posts, where you almost bricked your phone on both occasions, if this is your next trial.........

To be honest, I don't know. But if you have a G3, why you want to put there a G4 ROM.......

just to be sure there will be no danger for my phone because if the G4 ROM is IPL SPL free this will be more safe for my wizard i'm i wrong ?

As long as your phone is CID unlocked G3 device then it should be fine. I did flash mine with G4 ROM Risidoro cooked rom and everything runs smoothly.
Except i cannot find the extended_rom in the total commander, i dont know if this is becoz im flashing the G4 Rom onto the G3 device or not.
anyways from the info i got from this site is that, if your phone CID unlocked and G3 chip then you should be free to use any ROMS you want.

I did CID unlocked my G3 with 2.25 IPL/SPL from Cingular:
first, i did the sim unlock using lokiwiz3a: copy the enablerapi.cab on my device, run it, then run the .bat thing from desktop. use sim card from other provider, enter the unlock code. sim unlocked done.
second, downgrade using the custom rom, CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe
then I did the CID unlock using lokiwiz2b. again copy the enablerapi.cab, run it..then run the .bat thing from desktop. done. my ipl/spl become: 1.05/2.25 if im not mistaken...anyways after that i did flash it with Molski ROM for G3 device to make the ipl/spl to 2.26.
then lastly after that i did some rom flashing using aku 3.2, molski, and lastly the risidoro one.
i know from this forum that the only know that you know that the CID is unlocked is by flashing with other ROMS (not the ROMS for G4 devices).
I think because your device is 3G all went good happy for you ! but i broke my G4 using exactly as you did, it deads after the first boot when i downgrade to downgrading to CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe
so G4 chips don't accept to be downgraded ...

IPL/SPL = bootloader (it depend on the end of that number) if you have G4 (IPL/SPL ends 0001), than you can`t unlock and write unoficial (better then oficial) ROM
T-Mobile logo is easy to rewrite by any unoficial ROM or by your cooked splash screen
for simplicity...think of a ROM as the operating system and the extended ROM as the bundled software your computer comes with...
you can flash your phone with any wizard ROM you'd like...and as a noob you may not know that most ROM's are cooked without network customizations so you'll need (in your case cingular) the cingular customizations cab file (do a search)
like johnny said...most custom ROM's have all the tmobile/cingular/etc bull**** removed so you won't have to worry about it
the os 2.26.10.x is the version number of a ROM (newest official as of right now)
know this...you will void your warrenty when you unlock your phone further which you'll have to do...so first go here:

I notice that you want to upgrade/downgrade ROMs. Be aware that there are two types of devices, G3 & G4 and you should be aware of what type of phone it is. If when you boot your phone & the IPL & SPL read 2.xx then you have a G3 phone if it reads 2.xx.001 or something like that then you have a G4. Be aware that if you use the wrong type of ROM to flash you will brick your phone - read; read; read; before you start flashing your ROM.

And Btw, I believe ROM stands for "Read Only Memory" which is where you write the OS and then the applications only read from this place. It is pretty much similar to the ROM on your PC.

... and WWE = "World Wide English", the language of the ROM. FRE might be for French for example. The World Wide part means that the version is applicable accross all English Locales, as opposed to having localised English versions for Australia, the US, and the UK for example.

5th Sticky has the information you need, its title is:
SOLUTION FOUND -CID/sim UNLOCKING FOR WIZARD WITH AKU2 ROMS.
Gives you a step by step process. Basically you can't CID unlock until you downgrade to the button rom. By your post it looks like you have the tools you need. This thread will give you the instructions on how to use them and when.

Ok I followed all the steps on the guide buy using button's 1.05 ROM and wait specially when it reaches 98% Than I used lokiwiz - HTC Wizard Unlocker UPDATE Version 0.2b and finally I used button's 1.05 ROM again to get my SPL down to 1.01. I got my phone both Sim Unlock & Cidunlock I guess I’m ready for the world. Yet still have more questions .

The latest ROMs are based on AKU 3.2/3.5, but they are still in development and can be a bit buggy.
Personally I am very satisfied using the Molski.biz 2.26.10.2 Final Edition Rom (based on AKU2.3).

Qood question I'm not sure being that I', noob but i would assume that it's not cid unlock since you have to go the extra mile to get it cid unlock . can you tell me if you are seeing network logo ie singular or t mobile on the screen is yes it's possible that' it's not cid unlock. but keek asking hopefully some one would have the right answer for you. good luck

If in doubt just CID unlock again. It doesn't hurt anything and that way you can be sure that you are unlocked.

I have successfully upgrade my rom to Molski.biz 2.26.10.2 Final Edition Rom as well!
It solved all the bugs facing by using the default Dopod rom! Hurray!

First, get rid of the red font and all uppercase... sheesh...
Second you need to read and read... You need to understand this stuff before you start flashing or you will find yourself with a dead phone.

Its in the ROM. When you put on Faria's WM6, you'll get that (he's just listing what all comes with it).

That means you have to have an IPL / SPL that are both 2.xx or higher. Don't try to do this with either IPL or SPL at 1.xx
You will have to CID Unlock your device first. So read and follow this guide (and the posts it takes you too). Don't skip steps and check your work as you go and you'll be fine

Key is, you have to downgrade, CID unlock, downgrade again (to get SPL to 1.xx) then upgrade to an official 2.xx ROM. Only after you do all of that can you then try flashing WM6 (or other custom roms).

I have made a backup using aWizard (by ahlok_hk).
I also Unlocked it using aWizard (it was locked or not?i dont know, but i went through the Unlock Process & saw the msg that ur device is Unlocked now)Plz tell me how to know which device is CID locked or unlocked.
All things are ripped now...so i can go ahead with Faria's WM6...what do u say...?

I've never CID Unlocked that way. I've always used the links I pointed you to in my previous post. As far as I know there is no way to know if you are CID Unlocked for sure until you flash a new ROM. If it appears to work, but only the splash screens change (and everything else is just like it was before) then you are not CID Unlocked.
you can give it a try, but personally I'd recommend you do the steps in my previous post as that method definetly works.

First -- which WM6 ROM are you having trouble installing??
If you'll read the Wizard Mobile 6 forums, just about all the threads will advise you to flash the T-Mobile 2.26 for a strong 2.26 base before flashing to a WM6 ROM.

From your last post, it looks like you already have a IPL/SPL of 2.26. Your initial post reported it to be 2.16. It also appears that you have a G3 chip, so there shouldn't be any problems in flashing any of the WM6 ROMs.
Try maybe a different ROM. I'm using the X-Plore 1.1 by anchillus and have been using it on my 8125 longer than any other one I've tried. In fact, my Wizard is starting to feel neglected. . .
From all the information you've given, you should be good to go with ANY ROM.

after its done there was no change it was still 2005
but i noticed that the when it started up the 2006 flash screen was there
i know that when this happened it mean that i didnt unlock the device but i would say that i did twice & in both of them the wizard started on its own
is there a signal that can make me be more sure that it was unlocked

Yes I know the answer you're.... this is always the case when you're.... I'm certain you're.... CID-Locked.
You can only succesfully CID-unlock you're device from buttons 1.x rom! Lokiwiz can tell you it unlocked succesfully, but it didn't! Make sure you're not confusing CID from SIM-unlock. Follow this tutorial:

no offense but if you did not understand how to identify whether you got a G3 or G4 I would recommend to read more and again the respective sticky threads ... otherwise there will be a high risk that you will brick you Wizard due to mis-understanding of the other steps to follow in order to upgrade your Wizard ... BTW you've got a G3.

HTC Wizard G3 has IPL/SPL formats like 1.05 or 2.21 or 2.21.0000 etc
HTC Wizard G4 has IPL/SPL formats like 2.16.0001 2.21.0001

We cant help if you dont want to read...i think you have g3...but do you it at your risk and brick it, if you are too lazy to read...
Iam not lazy or anything like that i spend 2 days already just to find out but which version i have G3 Or G4 But,i didn't find anything,thats the reasan why i asked for help becuz i can't find any Info about my phone!!
i already looked on *wikis, the stickies* But,i didn't find it!
On wikis, the stickies it say's g3 or g4 and other numbers and XxX and more 000 i dont have none of the numbers above how do i know which one i have? thats why i asked for help!
