Hi,
Just got back from Jamaica and had a problem with networks.
I use the QTEK 9100 with the rom details as listed below.
My problem is the phone only connected to Digicel twice over there, other than that it was on cable and wireless who wouldnt allow my GPRS connections to work.
I went into network settings so many times doing manual searches but only twice did it get digicel.
My wifes motorola stayed on Digicel all week, I put my sim card into her phone and bang straight onto digicel.
So why wouldn't my Qtek stay on it or even find it.
Any ideas?

I bought a Kaiser / TyTN II in Hong Kong, and it is a Chinese Windows version. When I was in Hong Kong, I tested and used it with different service provider SIM cards, it just worked fine.
However, I am now back to the states, and I put in a Cingular SIM card. My Kaiser could not find any the network at all. My Kaiser does not support the current service provider (Cingular), and suggested me to download the updates.
I tried to solve the problem by going through the network wizard, but I could only fine those Asia Pacific countries. No Northern Amercia countires can be found.
Please help!
Just to be certain, is it a newer 3G 64K SIM card?
Might just be a bad/old SIM card. I'd swing by a store and see if you can't get a new one myself...
Hi, I also got same problem today in China.
I am using Peoples Phone/GPRS SIM in HK, and everything work correctly.
Today I had business trip to china so I changed Peoples SIM to China UNICOM SIM(Only phone) . Then my kaiser couldn't find any network and asked me to chose Country and Netwrok. But China is not included in the list of Country....
PLEASE HELP ME Also!!
Whne I was about to give up, and left my SIM card in the phone. It took a few minutes, and my phone found "Cingular" signal. Now, I can use my Kaiser with my Cingular SIM card now.
However, whenever I turned off my phone or reset it, the problem happen again, but it took less time to pick up the Cingular signal.
I am using the latest SIM card from Cingular.
Remark: After a few trial confirming what caused the problem, I found out that if I chnage the channel (under phone setting) to Auto, my phone picks up Cingular signal everything I turn on or reset it.
I'm not really sure about this either. When I got my kaiser from att, it came with a new att 3g sim, which I never activated. I popped in my old cingular 3g sim from 2 years ago and it didn't work. Said no sim was inserted. That said, I'm currently using it with an old pre3g tmobile sim from 2004, and all is well.
Hey guys
I have a problem here
Last month I bought an ATT Tilt and unlocked the sim that I can use it internationally
the sim unlock does its job, however, I can't seem to use the GPRS in other country even though I've set it up correctly (even had representative from the provider to help me)
so..can anyone help me with this ?
thanks
used my kaiser in Ukraine on GPRS
I just got back from Germany and Ukraine. My AT&T sim roamed on 3g fine in Germany. In Ukraine I put in a kyivstar sim. My HTC Kaiser did not recognize and auto configure the sim for data. (the phone worked just fine with no adjustments). I went to the kyivstar website and got their settings for GPRS (www.ab.kyivstar.com) and entered them manually in settings/connections/connections section. GPRS then worked just fine. I was surprised Kyivstar did not auto config since they have been the largest provider in Ukraine for 10 years. When I came back to the states my AT&T sim card powered up and reconfigured itself to 3g just fine also. Sorry but I do not know why yours is not working
i have the same problem with you , i bought att tilt from ebay a month ago. The sim lock works still but after a month i can not connect gprs. Can someone help me ?
same problem......
HELP !
Hi guys. Many Tmobile users encounter the same thing when using the Tilt. Locate the cab file in your Windows folder that Disables Hidden Proxy and run it. Then confirm your GPRS settings for your provider. That should clear the problem and allow connections.
did you try deleting the proxy in the registry?
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings]
look for the line that says
"EnableAutoDetect"
and delete it.
didnt work for me... but try!
Help! My Diamond has lost it's sparkle.
I have no signal just an ! next to the antenna logo. It's not network coverage as I've tried another phone with my 3 sim and my vodafone sim in the diamond and no signal with either network, although I get a message that I need to update the settings for this network.
I have tried reflashing the origional vodafone rom 1.93.161.2 and reflashing the radio to 1.00.25.05 and now 1.00.25.06 none of which get me a signal.
If I do a manual search for a network the phone finds vodafone, o2, orange, 3 and t-mobile but none give me a signal :-( any help I've only had the phone for a couple of weeks after buying it new off ebay.
try radio .08, and have you ran Connection Setup?
Just tried the 08 radio and no luck. I did get some signal bars after I posted this morning with my Vodafone sim but any try at making a call just gave me what sounded like an engaged tone. What do you mean by connection setup? The phone was working but then stopped with no modification.
Well it turns out that the phone was on a blacklist despite coming up as clear on a search I did by the ebay recomended tool. Fortunatly the seller was prompt with a refund. I suspect I was lucky on this occasion.
I have an ATT Tilt with the official 6.1 ROM specifically for the ATT Tilt. I downloaded it from HTC's website. Start screens shows;
R 1.65.21.18
G 25.88.40.05H
D 3.57.00.00
Phone was working great for months UNTIL yesterday. When I turn the phone radio on it takes several minutes to connect with ATT network. Then I get a message that says "there is a problem connecting to the GPRS network in your area". I can use the phone to make or receive a call, but then after approx 10 minutes with the phone radio on it loses the network connection.
I called ATT. They were less than helpful. They tell me to buy a new phone.
I searched this forum and also googled this problem with no good results.
I have hard reset the phone and still experience the same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

were is your area.
Central PA. Up until yesterday I had great coverage. Another co-worker with a Tilt can stand right beside me and get service. ATT said it could be the SIM card.
I put my coworkers SIM card in my phone and it took a good 3 minutes to connect with the network. I couldn't keep the card in my phone long (he had to go) but it stayed connected for 5 minutes.
When I turn my phone off and then back on, it will connect to the network after several minutes, but looses the connection shortly after.

If the ATT techs haven't told you to do so already, try System>Connections>Connection Setup
I have done everything included in their instructions at http://www.wireless.att.com/support...0&tutorialsCategory=Browser&tutorialId=614440
but still no luck.
I am having the same issue only recently lots of call drops phone just jumping from 3G to Edge and back again. I also keep getting the login message for MedaiNet.
I live in Tampa, Florida.
Again At&t Tech support was completely useless I am so frustrated that I was actually looking at getting a different phone but I wasn't sure if that would really solve my problems.
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hi volks
I have unlocked my t-mobile mda Vario 3 (aka kaiser) and everything working fine, it work with all sims(f.e. A1, telering, ...) but not with "Hutchinson 3 Austria" it is an umts network and the kaiser should work whit it!
when i put in the 3 sim i can enter pin, device searching for network, but the kaiser will not connect to network, always searching for network. i live in Vienna, a big city, there should be enough signal strength *gg*
i also tried another 3 sim but will not work tried to change band settings and network settings but will not work. i also brought the kaiser to t-mobile and they send it to service, the service says that the device works fine and is unlocked
so anybody an idea?
i also have the same problem with my o2 sim card. it acquires a connection briefly then cuts out again and just keeps searching for a network
it happened to me too, i resolved the situation by inserting a piece of paper on the top of simcard, to make pressure because with time kaiser loses pressure needed to read the card...
