Hello all
I've searched but I brought some marsmellows if you should decide to flame me anyways... (I hope not! )
When I got my Tytn 2 in december I installed the GPRS monitor that came along on a cd. With this program you can also set the backlight and look at the battery status and - I belive it is - see the talktime.
I have always had the backlight bar set in the middle and started with having talktime around 4 hours and maybe 25 minuts when the battery was 100 %.
As time went by the talktime was only about 3 hours and some minuts at 100 % battery and I have not changed the backlight at all because I find it very nice when it's set in the middle.
So yesterday I was bored and pressed the backlight bar in the GPRS monitor and I went all the way from the lightest to the darkest mode maybe two or three times in a row.
After doing this I set it in the middle as this is where I normally have it but now to my surprise I was having the 4 hours and about 25 minuts with only about 90 % of battery...
Will this also work for you?
I've just remembered that I presses the backlight button in the HTC Home plugin - you know where you can go to commanager and programs... ;-)
What? U r getting 4hrs 25 minutes only by 10% battery consumption? Amazing.
R u sure?
well that is what it said... Right now it says 65 % battery and 2:06 hours of what I call talk time - isnt that what it is...?
I wonder how,I've been using this apps too. Never notice it happen, will try. Normally 50% out after 2 hrs. No harm trying after all nothing to lose......right?
To everyone with a i9000 running on both insanity and SOK both on latest versions
am i the only one whos battery wont last to 0% ?
my phone goes dead anywhere between 15% and 10% , it wont go below 10 for some reason, am i the only 1 ?
tried calibrating the battery atleast 3 times still facing the same result
when charging full whether on laptop usb or charger ( using laptop usb usually gives more juice for some reason ) phone starts from 94% to 99% never 100%
whenever deleting batt file from CWM it would reach 100% maybe for 1 or 2 charge cycles but after that starts degrading and results r random
batt simply wont live beyond 10% and dye
once its dead i could start it again and again but once it starts it would shutdown immediately. so the juice is available but unusable, wonder why its acting like that?
could my battery be dying? is that even possible?
as you can see the 1st pic
battery charge to 25% ..it's 25% for a long time then it drop rapidly to 0% in 10minutes
pic 2:
after that incident i charge my battery to 100% and it dropped to 80% in an hour
both pics : no wifi , blueooth , sync , rotate ,data , 3g , 0% brightness
any help? is there a way for me to check my battery is flawed ?
using
GDX v22
stock kernel
360 launcher
try to use battery calibration it helped me

Reflash
Reflash your ROM if you are using a custom ROM. It solved the problem for me when I was using GingerXperia. My battery level dropped by 1% every 38 seconds.
Reflashing solved it.
Also , calibrate your battery after each flash of a new ROM
Hello!
Been using my i9000 for about 2 years and 3 days ago i came around a problem that I can't solve. Let me try to explain as good as my english skills will let me.
I`m charging the battery to 100%. I`m unplugging then plugging back my charger a few times to make sure it's charged 100%. Then I`m using my phone as usual for about 2-3 hours (less if I`m playing a movie or listen to music) and my phone automatically shuts off. When I turn it back on, it shows 1-2% battery.
Now, if I let it idle, it will slowly "charge" back up (without the charger plugged). It wont show the charging icon over battery, but it's level will rise to about 60-70%.
If, after I turn it back on I use it intensively, it will shut down in 1-2 minutes. I tried to charge it to full and then enter that root menu (volume up+menu key+power key) to delete the battery stats, but still can't solve the problem.
I can't believe my battery is dieing or having a hardware problem because it started acting like this out of the blue, so I think there's a software problem somewhere (maybe corrupted battery info stats or something). My bet is on the fact that the phone doesn't know the empty and full limits of the battery.
My phone is rooted and using android 2.3.6. Any advice would be highly appreciated, thanks!

Did you get to have yours fixed??
I had the same problem with my I9000, in the same period.. what are the odds?
I replaced the battery, and the battery level weirdness went away, but I'm still having problems charging it. Actually, the battery won't charge in the phone, tried several charges, with different amps. I have an external charger, which will take the battery at 100%, and it will last a few hours in the phone.
I also have another problem: if I have the phone on, with the charger connected, and shut it down, I can only get it back on if I disconnect the charger. I also don't get the battery indicator when the phone is off.
I was using CM10, but then I reverted to stock 2.3.6, tried a few kernels, modems, etc, but none solve my problems.
hi guys
quite basic problem u got there
if ur on 2.3.6, then its natural problem.its not like changing kernel can solved it as it is safety measure for battery in stock ROM.
to answer ur question;
when charging at deepsleep mode nothing will change=
as cpu at min stated, even wifi will be knocked off n sometimes network signal also.
battery suddenly goes up when rebooting or awake from deepsleep=
its ur battery stat+safety measure for battery (hav u heard BLX (Battery Life Xtender) in any cm10 features?) to maintain fone power state.
battery will never goes 100% n u need to plug n unplug again for it to full=
still count as BLX (above) as in this features battery will goes 90% - 95% as its max to make sure battery lasting longer (if not,why do u think u can still use ur battery in full state after 3 years (1000+ cycles) n it still not bubling like old nokia fone?)
fone will not awake when charging (if enter sleep mode) =
check ur kernel n make sure min cpu change to ~200mhz as its min n dont lock ur cpu to its min.if in stock, something wrong with ur home or power (da one trigger awake) button.
da conclusion is, sometimes (3 month calculated) reset ur battery stat (if ur on GB) with app (too many app on Gstore) but needed root n follow strictly step. DO NOT OVERCHARGE (charging n leaving ur fone till morning to discharge) n be thankful this features intact in updated GB so u can use ur battery much longer than nokia fone.
but u can change it by upgrading to cm9 to disable it. charge it with 'stay awake' enable on dev option n u ll get full 100% usage of ur battery
thats all for my morning essay
n thank you for reading (if u try to read)
Regards

Actually we have a thread with battery problem.
1 Turn off your phone.
2 Charging phone without turning on to full and switch on then continue charging to 100%
3 When getting 100% signal, unplug quickly.
4 Pull off the battery and put it anywhere.
5 Press power buton copule time
6 Wait for 20 min
7 Meanwhile, take this opportunity to dust off the internal compartment.
8 Put back the battery on the right side.
9 Turn on the phone.
10 Pray the Battery god
11 ... and voilà !

Your battery capacity is depleted. You can definitely count on me over this. The same happened to me & I bought a new battery & it lasts for a day now. Just get a new battery from Samsung.

Try to full charge your phone and then without unplug the charger boot into CWM and wipe battery status, reboot and wait until your battery is full again, finally unplug the charger
