screen rotate direction

With the Alex Game Rom, the htchome screen rotate button rotates clockwise to landscape, how do I make it rotate counterclockwise to landscape (the landscape direction when using the keyboard)?
thanks,
I was going to ask same question, actually.. anybody knows?
It'd be perfect if it'd switch Kaiser to landscape and back (toggle thing). it does so now, just landscape is rotating left instead of right.. any way to change that?
Don't use HTC Home, but this might work;
Start>Settings> System Tab then Screen and set Orientation to right-handed or left-handed which ever is what you want, then switch back to portrait. For "Most" apps that have a switch to landscape, they will switch to what you last set in this config screen as it seems to remember this preference.
Hopefully HTC's screen isn't hard coded elseware...
Nope unfortunatelly that doesn't fix it.
on some other forum there was a supposed registry fix. HKLM, system, gdi, rotation; landscape mode (change 4 to 1). But this doesnt seem to stick, and I dont know if it does what we are talking about anyway.
this is how i do it
go to settings, and remap the press to talk button in rotate screen. works flawless on my device. I use it for tomtom, first it also rotated the wrong direction. now it is fine.
Try this....

Try this:
Open your reg editor (I use Resco Registry Editor Mainly) and navigate to :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC Scroll to the botton of the folder (so to speak) and at the bottom you will find a reg value called "SliderOutRotateAngle" it default value is (that is the correct angle for sliding the keyboard out. Just change this value for a different angle i.e. 90, 180 etc.. (PLEASE NOTE THIS REG KEY IS A DWORD KEY AND ENTER IN DEC FORM/This is just in case you delete it by acident)
As with most .reg changes, don't forget to soft-reset..
Hope this helps..

default startup screen orientation

hi guys,
just liberated my shift and used the cooked roms to enable gps in wm.
i want to load up my wm side with a portrait display every time. had a browse through the registry and i cant see any obvious keys. also searched the net and nothing...
are there any reg codes which i can edit to make wm start up in portrait mode every time?
rgds, james
I did never do such on an shift but afaik manila has an option to switch portrait / landscape mode, try to cook manila (i recommend 2d for speed) into your rom
Greets
I have the option in WM Screen settings to set the orientation to portrait, however when you soft reset the device it switches back to landscape.
I'm looking for a way to ensure this is always set to portrait on startup.
Thx, J

Lock Screen on Wake

I am currently running itje's wm 6.5 rom. I wanted to know if there was a .cab or registry tweak avaliable for using the WM lock screen when the phone wakes.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Hi matey
you dont need a cab
heres what you do
go into settings > Lock
tick where it says promt if the phone is not used for >> and change that to 0 minutes
then set ur self a 4 digi pin
now when either u press the power button to wake ur phone it will take you to the locked screen.
how ever when you slide the lock you will be promted by for the 4 digi pin you setup.
Sorry mate if you wanted it to lock but not promt you for a pin- i dont belive you can do that with the default options on WM.
good luck in finding another solution if the above does not help keep this thread updated, others may find it usefull

hm... I had this on my own rom.
I mean that I turn on the Screen and the Lock Screen appears.
I think that was luck because now that you've asked that I realize, that I've never heard this before.
Think there will be a Solution in the Registry.

Manual Landscape

I have been looking through all the settings on the D2 to manually change the screen to landscape as I used to be able to do on the Touch cruise but without success the G-Sensor is a bit of a hit and miss and only works on some programmes. I would like to use landscape with Navigon 7 anyone know how to do this ?
The TF3D interface does not work in landscape on default, there is an app available for it here
you can go to settings>all settings>system tab>screen and change the orientation, somehow this only works one time for me, it just changes back automatically.
in Navigon (I don't have this) there is probably an option where you can change the orientation
edit: change the orientation to landscape in the screen settings, and then start navigon.
Tnks for the reply TK tried the tweak did not seem to do anything apart from restarting the D2 there are no settings in the screen tab for changing orientation just alighn, Cleartype and Text Size.
will have to keep looking.
somehow the tweak options end up in the all programs list, found under Manila Rotate On/Off.
maybe this option came with one of the programs installed ^^
After you do the manilla landscape you soft-reset and then it should be there for you to rotate stuff. Another app to try out is G-Config. Search for that on the forum. You can add automatic rotation to apps that don't support it after you add them to the list you soft-reset and then try it again. I've managed to put MSN, Skype etc on it.
installed Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3, start and then:
screen -> show orientation settings -> yes
then i configured the one button i can configure (left-bottom: press and hold):
settings -> all settings -> personal -> buttons -> <rotate screen>

hmmm i know there is an option for this in Advanced Config - try that maybe
advanced config ? there are no such items to keep landscape mode?
Go to and regedit
HkLM/System/GDI/Rotation/camAppActive and change it to 1
And the screen wont rotate but if you soft reset or enter x1 camera the screen should rotate again.
