You did CID unlock the phone first, right ? You didn't indicate whether you have flashed it up previsouly without incident.

Removing Root from HTC One on O2 UK Carrier

Hi,
I don't think this is in the right place but i am unable to post under the developers area for assistance and everyone has told me this is the best place to get some help.
I am looking to get rid of my root for my HTC One on an O2 network and I think i need to get the boot loader locked which i can do then run a RUU file that matches my phone. The RUU's i have run seem to be the wrong ones and i am at a loss to which one i should be using, when i go through the steps it says that my version is 1.27.206.1 does this mean i need to find the version that is O2 and 1.27.206.1 for it to work?
I have also tried an OTA but this just stops at the boot loader screen and i think this is because some of the stock apps are wipe. Any help would be much appreciated.

You do need that RUU but it isnt available yet.

Thanks for the very quick response, ok that narrows it down quite a bit, would you happen to know which RUU i would be looking for when it does come out? will it be a specific O2 RUU for the version 1.27.206.1? Also where would i check for it once its released?
Is their anyway around the OTA update to remove the Root atm?

You would need an ruu that has the same software or newer than yours. The key bit would be the .206 section. There is an RUU thread here. You could flash one of the stock nandroid backups in the RUU thread. Add the apps back. There is a .zip somewhere then remove the stock recovery and flash the ota.

Hi Ste, thanks again for your help, i know this is a huge ask but this is a brand new phone and i want to be as careful as possible when trying to undo my root. Is their anyway you could post specific links for me to try the above? Like i said a huge ask so i fully understand if you don't have time. Guess i am looking for someone to hand hold me through this,

I would but I'm on my phone using tapatalk so I can't really at the moment sorry. The ruu thread is on this part of the forum though. And the other bit should be in the dev section.
Ok, no worries, i have downloaded the UK Nandroid rom and flashed it to my device but i still have everything on my phone like games that i had before flashing it which is a little odd.
i have also found the stock apps from a post on here like you said and have them all installed on the phone. Could someone explain the next steps please,
why dont you just use the unroot in the superuser apps? SuperSU has the option.
also solloris
Hi, i have tried this option but when the phone reboots the application is back and the bootloader is still showing as Tampered.

[Q] S-OFF and Firmware update global system failure. [SOLVED]

Hi,
I've been having a big issue for about 3 or 4 hours : I've changed the CID to 11111111 and S-OFF my phone, and since then I'm unable to open SMS nor call anyone, when I try to call someone, I just get a message saying "com.android.htcdialer has stopped"
I've also got a lot of unstabilities, Es Explorer keeps crashing from time to time, an app called Tan (a public transport app for my town) keeps crashing to... This is driving me nuts.
I've tried a full wipe, flashing almost all firmware and radios available, nothing works...
Any help ? I really need my phone for tomorrow morning !
By the way I'm using ViperOne 2.7.0...
Update ! Now it won't boot to the bootloader anymore !
Okay, now the bootloader works, that's that...
That would be because of the radio flashes, try run an ruu For your region
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

And where could I find this ? I could only find "normal" RUU...
I'm client at SFR (the French Vodafone.)
Update, I've flashed the latest Elegancia ROM with the latest Firmware and Radio, and now I have a message telling me that android.process.acore stopped at startup.

In fact putting back the VODAP203 CID seems to kind of fix this issue...
I said kind of because I was only able to call and send messages for a few minutes.
Then when we tried the call receiving it would simply not work... I'm trying with the latest RUU+Radio and latest ROM with stock CID, I keep you informed.
Update and solution !!!
So, I finally got it to work, it seems like Vodafone in Franse is using CID to avoid super CID users to connect to their network, I dunno why they would be doing that, but by switching the CID back to stock after updating firmware I can now connect , send messages and reveive call normally.
So, if somebody is coming here because he's encountering the same issue, the solution is to write the CID back to stock once he is done flashing firmware and radios !

Yep, you are stuck until the full 4.4.4 SBF is released for your carrier. Shouldn't have done that.
Who is your carrier? If it is AT&T, you are in luck! The 4.4.4 SBF was just released. If not....bummer - you will have to wait. Can't flash a ROM with a different CID with a locked BL.
I highly suggest you don't attempt to manually force the older rom. Really, beyond the fact that you flashed the wrong ROM, how did you miss all the warnings that downgrade = brick?
Tough situation to be in. Hopefully you have an AT&T unit. If so, we can help get you fixed up.
Well, I have solved it Unlocking my Bootloader and then reinstalling the rom 4.4.4 retail from Brazil. It works now.
I have a question, now I am in Brazil but I am from PerĂº, and when I try to change the APN for the one I use in PerĂº, it deletes itself, so I can not change the APN or create a new one because i can not save it. What is the problem in there?
My phone was Nextel operator, then I unlock it, never had a problem.
Hope your help.
Thanks!

[Q] SIM Unlock i9305 on CM11

Hi all,
Been reading all about SIM unlocking my i9305 - seems it's a bit of a minefield. I've got newer Knox bootloader, would appreciate best method / things to avoid!
I think I need to downgrade to official JB - was thinking this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...305/rom-13-5-2014-official-stock-rom-t2573524
Then use the code I already have from eBay to unlock, as I understand I need a stock dialler.
Should then be able to flash CM11 again.
Couple of questions:
Would I lose custom recovery / root in this process and have to do that again?
Am I ok to downgrade provided I do full wipes?
All help gratefully received!
Cheers

Oh and one more question - if I go to official 4.3 and the unlock code works - can I just restore my nandroid CM11 backup or do I have to reflash from scratch?
Thanks
Best ask a moderator to move your post to the correct forum, anything from here can brick your phone.
Ah yes, please move to i9305 forum

eg this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...305/rom-13-5-2014-official-stock-rom-t2573524
Thanks
Ok I bit the bullet and flashed stock (rooted) 4.3, all gone well and SIM unlock code worked.
Now can I nandroid restore my CM11 setup or will that revert the SIM unlock?
Thanks

softbricked htc 626

Posting on behalf of one of my mates. He tried rooting his htc desire 626s Tmobile us. Unfortunately he messed up and it ran into a bootloop along with a coldboot message. He tried flashing ruu files. But does not work. Was wondering if anyone has a stock flashable rom or a backup of their system. So he could restore via twrp? Any other possible solutions as many others are running into the same ditch. Please help.
Thanks in advance.

His bootscreen is stucked here.
I would need to know the status of his/her bootloader(Unlocked or Locked/Relocked) and prior firmware.however,i could almost guaruntee that if you set the bootloader locked again, the RUU will work.its a minimal task, but in he grand scheme of things could cause the RUU to fail with errors, such as 155.if you need a link to it,i can assist. The command to reset the bootloader locked is without the quotes,"fastboot oem lock" from fastboot.

I locked the bootloader to see if the Marshmallow update RUU would work. It was not the case.

Hey check out this post I made. I had a similar issue with the RUU. This might help it run. You have to install this to get it to run right.
