SD Card Backup?????? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

After the upgrade I was having problems, so I downgraded the device to original O2 Rom. Then I started having Bluetooth problems “like the license is expired. Also I have an orange SPV M2000 which works fine and I back up the Rom on a SD card and I tried to flash it on my “O2 XDAIIs”. But I got an error “upgrade not allow” I am wondering is there a way around it? Like can I flash it on “XDAIIs” from a SD card using orange backup? Thanks and I will appreciate any help.

i have the same question for a svp m2000 and i dpn't no the answer.

Can anyone supply a clean UK MDA Vario ROM please?

I've flashed my UK MDA VARIO with the i-mate k-jam ROM but decided I'd like to go back to the original ROM.
Before flashing the ROM I followed the steps posted by arnoldl to r2sd my ROM to my SD card and then used NTRW to copy the card to a file on my PC. I had to use the card for other things in the meantime and used NTRW to restore the card image ready for flashing.
But whatever I've ended up with on the card is not recognised by the boot loader and I am unable to restore my Vario back to factory spec. I don't know whereabouts in the process my image got broken but I'm hoping someone has, or can create, a clean UK Vario image that can be FTPd somewhere. I'll even host it myself if someone can come up with the goodies.
I only have a 1GB mini-SD card. I don't know if this will be aproblem for a restore from an image on a smaller (or larger) card than 1GB. Does anyone know?
I know k-jam and qtek upgrades/replaces are dead easy because of the .exe install file that takes care of everything. Is there an equivalent for the Vario ROM or can someone make one? I know I'm not the only one with this problem of an unuseable Vario ROM/card image.
Thanks,
Tim.

Can't connect with AS (Install a new ROM via my SD card)

Hi,
Can I install a new ROM via my SD card because I cannot connect to Active Sync? I've been searching for hours but still can't fix my problem.
I tried to upgrade the radio rom only, but after that there is no radio version, no phone or internet, system on MDA is VERY slow, and I can't connect to active sync.
I can get bootloader up, but I cannot install the stock rom I downloaded from this site, because i can't connect with active sync. I've tried to copy it to an SD card and install from there, but that doesn't work either. In bootloader I do not have USB at bottom left on my screen.
only
IPL 1.03
SPL 1.03
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!!!
I have the same problem :-(
It would be very nice if there´s a solution for this problem
Thanks a lot
Daniel
You don't need activesynce
You just need to get into bootloader search for it then run the RUU.

If USB is not showing up in the bootloader (rainbow screen) then the only known way to backup is via SD card. The RUU cannot be used in this case.
You'll want to dig out the original backup that you made when you first got the phone and do a restore boot. Restore the image from the SD card.
If you want the improved radio ROM, I'd suggest restoring from SD card, CID unlocking the device, upgrading to an AKU 2.x ROM (so you've got a 2.x bootloader) and then applying the 2.x radio ROM upgrade.

same problem; wizard_radio version-2.25.11
will follow link in above post and see hoe it goes; anyone got any other comments?
no SD backup
well, funnily enough I ran the ROM backup as a precaution, but it seems a. not to have worked and b. to have wiped my SD card, so am buggered whichever way you look at it.
Does anyone have a backup image they could email/FTP to me so I can at least get to USB in bootloader?
THanks,

the CURE
ok, thanks to the tip from a99tandem.
Reset, holding down the camera button, allows you to go into boatloader, and you can flash a ROM from the PC using RUU. Bootloader comes up with 'USB' in the corner.
Thank god for that; that's 5 hours wasted...

ROM Update using miniSD card issues

Hi,
I'm a newb here, just picked up my Dopod D810 in HK. The phone is unlocked, although it does have Vodafone customizations on it.
I'm a MAC user, and i'm trying to update the firmware on the phone to the GPS enabled final ROM that's posted in the downloads. Since Apple gets no love from msft i have to update using the miniSD method.
I followed the instructions in the miniSD flashing guide, but it doesn't seem to work too well. The screen flashes for a split-second to something that looks like the bootloader screen, but then switches to the four-color screen red/green/blue/black.
I can't check the CID because i can't connect to the phone using USB when it is in the four-color mode, as OSX doesn't recognize the phone as anything.
I am trying to flash using a 2Gb miniSD card that only has the TRINIMG.nbh file on it. The card is recognized just fine by the D810, and i've copied the file there using bluetooth. It is formated FAT32, so it should work fine.
Any ideas why the bootloader gets ignored upon reset? wrong cid perhaps?
If anyone has any suggestions, i would be very greatful.
Thanks,
nizzki

Cry for help - missing radio rom

Hi everyone.. First post and I think this is a great site. I've managed to flash a wm6 rom to my Orange SPV m700, and although it worked great for a while, I decided to flash my radio rom (initially 1.16.00.00) to 1.50.08.11 not a great idea it would seem, as after a successfull (so it seemed) flash and a reboot, the I now appear to be missing both a radio rom and a gps rom!?!
Can anyone help? I've tried flashing back to a 'orangeuk' WM5 backup (created by someone on this this forum) and I'm having no luck what so ever. The downgrade to WM5 stalls at 82%. My gut suspicion is that it's failing at the radio rom, and I can (sort of) prove this when trying to flash the radio rom - it fails at 0%
PLEASE HELP
Update on this.
Downgraded from 1.30 Hard SPL to 1.20, tried flashing Radio Rom, again no joy. Have also attempted upgrade from SD card - again no joy.
Anyone?, Anyone?... Bueller?.. Anyone?
Just to add, there's no Radio/GPS or IMEI number.. I've seen other people with the same problem but no 'real' guide to fixing..
Just tried (on a whim) to downgrade the radio software down to to 1.16.00.00 using the SD card (basically trying to use Pof's unlocker radio rom) but still no joy, using the SD card just get's about 10% of the way along the progress bar and stops..
I'm struggling here folks
