I have mda 3 locked to t-mobile and they can't provide me with unlock code.
Is there any other way to unlock this device ?

hi! i have a mda III, until now you only can get the unlock code by paying 15 pounds to T-Mobile. I tkink that soon will appear an unlock tool on this web page, like xda2unlock.exe for the XDA II.
Do you know if we could unlock the mda III by changing the entire ROM (including the extended rom and the radio rom) for the Qtek 9090 one? If someone knows it, please let us know. Thanks.
You can't unlock the phone by changing the rom.
Then, where the simlock is located? out of the ROM perhaps? I donĀ“t understand because all the devices (MDA III, Qtek 9090, Imate PDA2K...) are the same gadget and all come from HTC, so all its parts except for the ROM program would have to be equal. If you know the answer, please, let me know. Thanks.
where is the rom
Sure, the simlock is in the rom
so, changing the rom by sd card on boot loader is for me the solution
you have to test it
Could you be litle more specific about changing rom with sd card on MDA3 ?
Did you try this ?
Hi all,
Being new to this and knowing what could happen to your phone, I want to know if you can check if LokiWiz has worked.
Yesterday I tried if the sim lock was gone and it has, but what about the CID?
Please let me know if it is possible to check.
Device specifics:
Qtek 9100, via Vodafone NL.
ROM1.3.7.10 NLD
ROM Date: 9/29/05
Radioversion: 01.04.10
Protcolversion: 4.0.13.17
ExtRom version: 1.3.7.8012
Thanks,
Bas
Did you use LokiWiz for only unlocking your SIM or also for CID?
SIM and CID unlock are both different options in LokiWiz.
You can check if SIM unlock has worked by changing SIM card and
you can check if CID unlock has worked by upgrading your device to the latest ROM (that's the only reason why anyone would CID unlock their device ).
Good Luck.
I did both.
I did a SIM unlock, and the test worked out fine. I swapped cards with a collegue who has a T-mobile card. Worked.
I did also a CID unlock. But I don't know if that worked. Is there a way to test. Or can I go and duo the upgrade. Does that one check if the CID is gone?
Thanks in advance for the answer.
Bas
Errm ive neva done an upgrade but if your CID is not unlocked i would assume the phone would turn into a brick....but remember thats an assumption :!:
Guys,
I just did the jump at the deep end and ....... kept swimming.
The upgrade went well. At the moment I'm reinstalling all my software.
Thanks for the answers.

I used Lokiwiz to SIM and CID lock my MDA and it created the appropriate .BIN files in its directory. I wanted to keep the files in case I needed to send the phone back to T-Mo USA under warranty repair in the future.
However, when trying to unlock a friend's MDA, these files got overwritten.
So my questions is: since I made a full device image backup when I first got the device (was ROM 1.08 at the time) before the unlocking using the "r2sd all" command, can I use the image stored in the SD card to restore the phone to its "virgin" status?
Would the SD card image restore bring back the "lock status" so that T-Mo would not say "it ain't covered under warranty, since you unlocked your phone"?
Thanks a lot..
Hallo,
I have such quaint proble with CID lock. I have had CID unlocked MDA Vario, but I want to lock it for testing purposes of my ROMs. I have locked it by active pearl (my CID lock is WIZTMOC5), but it locked Device only for write different operators os.nb, but not IPL/SPL.
So, I have written cid.bin into my device from different machine and now I can flash only that known custom 1.5 ROM and ROMs who is possible to flash into the CID locked devices (only non edited ROMs without IPL/SPL)
I tryed to unlock it, but Active pearl write: The CID lock is: 11111111 (so It could be unlocked), then I tray unlock via aWizard and lokiwiz (both programs say: The unlock is done), but I still cant flash any original ROM.
Of course I have written the cid.bin what is backup to me active pearl.
Any way to unlock ? Do you can help me ?
EDIT: After flash 1.5 custom ROM I have spl 1.01 , but after I tryed to flash any original ROM, the SPL has changed into the 1.01.0000!! (very strange on my G3 device and 1.x ROM)

Maybe you upgrade the AKU 3,3???
The lokwiz work only the IPL 2 (aku 2.0)
Can you write the unlock cod in MDA C II???
hi there,
thanks for reply,
i have the latest t-mobile rom so probably not aku 2.
is there any way to downgrade to aku 2. i have searched the forums with no joy.
IPL and AKU are two different things
You cant downgrade to boot v2 if you have already upgraded it to v3.x. Thats the answer I got from T-mobile.

Download the Lokwiz03!
If the folder have 2 bin fajl, then delete.
Run lockwiz
then write the unlock code
You put the other SIM (not T-mobile)
Write the PIN and then look the UNLOCK you must press.
Then write THE UNLOCK CODE and you have the UNLOCKED phone .
This Work with IPL 3 (AKU 3,3 T-mobile rom)
