i've just tried to unlock my t-mobile mda ll and have run into a problem. the phone nolonger recognises any sim card, it just says ' sim card missing or invalid' i did the unlock under wm6, have reinstalled wm5 but this does not help.
does anyone know how to solve this or have i just bricked my phone

Maybe you upgrade the AKU 3,3???
The lokwiz work only the IPL 2 (aku 2.0)
Can you write the unlock cod in MDA C II???

is there any way to downgrade to aku 2. i have searched the forums with no joy.
IPL and AKU are two different things
You cant downgrade to boot v2 if you have already upgraded it to v3.x. Thats the answer I got from T-mobile.

Download the Lokwiz03!
If the folder have 2 bin fajl,then delete.
Run lockwiz
then write the unlock code
You put the other SIM (not T-mobile)
Write the PIN and then look the UNLOCK you must press.
Then write THE UNLOCK CODE and you have the UNLOCKED phone .
This Work with IPL 3 (AKU 3,3 T-mobile rom)

(unless of course you unlocked the CID already, back in the day when it there was only v1.x )

I unlocked the phone a few times even.. with aWizard and the tool inside the CUSTOM_RUU_Prodigy_2170702_217_20710_TMO_US.exe file.
it never gets past 0% on the isntall, so it's good I have a working phone.. but I can't update anything.
anyone have any ideas?
have you tryied to cid unlock are you using lokiwiz to unlock or are you using awizard

Being new to this and knowing what could happen to your phone, I want to know if you can check if LokiWiz has worked.
Yesterday I tried if the sim lock was gone and it has, but what about the CID?
Please let me know if it is possible to check.
Device specifics:
Qtek 9100, via Vodafone NL.
ROM1.3.7.10 NLD
ROM Date: 9/29/05
Radioversion: 01.04.10
Protcolversion: 4.0.13.17
ExtRom version: 1.3.7.8012

Did you use LokiWiz for only unlocking your SIM or also for CID?
SIM and CID unlock are both different options in LokiWiz.
You can check if SIM unlock has worked by changing SIM card and
you can check if CID unlock has worked by upgrading your device to the latest ROM (that's the only reason why anyone would CID unlock their device ).

I did both.
I did a SIM unlock, and the test worked out fine. I swapped cards with a collegue who has a T-mobile card. Worked.
I did also a CID unlock. But I don't know if that worked. Is there a way to test. Or can I go and duo the upgrade. Does that one check if the CID is gone?

Errm ive neva done an upgrade but if your CID is not unlocked i would assume the phone would turn into a brick....but remember thats an assumption :!:

i have already downloaded the SIM unlocker Lokiwiz02b but the phone is still locked to T mobile .I'm going on a trip outside the U.S and i need the phone
I have tried almost all the ROM updates posted on this site but it seems useless, I read that Lokiwiz02 is not compatible with some ROM updates, is that true? or just simply i need to get the right version of the unloker program

You're probably using a 2.x rom so you cannot use lokiwiz 0.2b to SIM unlock it. You must use lokiwiz 0.3a instead
The software says phone is unlocked however when I go to out the new sim card in a screen is prompted asking for the unlocking code, I have a cingular 8125 and am trying to use get it unlocked to use my t-mobile card.

That's 'cos you've probably used lokiwiz 0.2b with a rom version 2.xx phone.
Lokiwiz 0.2b doesn't work with roms 2.xx but, since it's a batch (.BAT) file, it will always reports success even when it hasn't actually succeeded.
Use lokiwiz 0.3a instead.

I was trying to install risidoro's ROM...
followed instructions "

1. Ran Lockiwiz3a (IPL&SPL v.2xx) this gave me an error (just thought Id include. You can skip this.)
2. Downgraded to (CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE) found it somewhere in this post. let me know if you need me to post it.
**this took me to IPL-1.xx; SPL-2.xx; GSM-1.xx; OS-1.xx**
3. Downloaded Lokiwiz2b.
4. Copied EnableRapi.cab to my phone, and installed it to Extended ROM
5. Ran Lokiwiz2b - CID Unlock my phone
6. Upgraded to Risidoro's ROM (despite him saying it needed to be 2.xx)
** this upgraded everything else to 2.xx except my IPL(1.xx). but all the tweaks and apps were installed.**
6. I wanted my IPL to match my SPL so I loaded 2.26 (G3) from www.molski.biz
7. Reloaded Risidoro's ROM and now all is well >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
and after doing the lockiwiz... i'm stuck at it asking for a network unlock code....

i've tried all the different versions of lokiwiz...
and i'm just stuck at the simlock screen...
i did manage to install enablerapi.cab by tapping the screen real fast while it flashed inbetween the sim lock screen and the file explorer...
but still no luck...

after it gives the code put the sim card in and then enter the code.

and it gives me a simlock code.... but the simlock code is some crazy characters....
that aren't available for me to use on the phone? I did some research and this means that the phone is already unlocked?

install a complete original rom from you operator then do the steps above again.
and yes it is unlocked if those caracter appear.
what is the opeatater logo in the case of the phone? i-mate.vodafone etc?
bad news... i can't flash back to 2.17 because my nf.nbf file isn't correct or something...
here's a recap... i'll paypal $5 to the first person that can get my phone working again!!
i first tried to CID unlock when i had a 1.xx IPL and 2.xx SPL (in an attempt to flash to risidoro's ROM)
it reboot my qtek 9100, and when it came back... it was asking for a network key?!?! what the heck? I then found out I kept getting the "internal error" thing.
so then i tried it again, numerous times, different versions (02, 02a, 02b)
and then i tried flashing to molski's (2.26) which was a success...
i now have 2.26 for both IPL and SPL...
Then i tried the 03a version.... this time no errors, it gives me an unlock code but its in the weird crazy characters. This supposedly means that my device is already unlocked. So i'm happy, I put my SIM back in, and now its asking for an unlock code yet again. I'm stuck in the SimLock screen...
can someone please PLEASE help. I will paypal $5 to the person that can get my phone unlocked and working again.

It just says its unlocked (even thsoe the unlock code means its already unlocked) and when i put the sim back in... it still asks for it.
I also tried flashing the ROM to an OEM qtek ROM (2.17) and it says something about an nf.nbf file or something
I have no carrier stamp as I bought this from MMB a year ago.
