[Faria]HTC-wizard-[how to cook your ext-rom ]tutorial here!!

after so many request...here it is...the ext-rom cooking tutorial
first download the ext-rom maker kit from here;
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/DumpROM/htc-wizard-ext-rom-maker-kit.zip
then download the attached tutorial.
A great deal of time and patience was needed to put this together, from me, so please drop by the forum to say thanks if nothing else.
I know some of you would like to be able to extract you own extended rom base from your roms, this is easyest way that I could come up with for everyone specially the novices, plus that is another tutorial.
please post your coments/problems here for the benefit of every one

Hi! Well, I didn't even use your tutorial (yet), but still I just wanted to say thanks for your work. All the work from everyone that is contributing useful stuff should be rewarded once in a while, if only by a simple "thanks!" <-- so there you go

P.S. Now that I come to read the PDF, isn't the location for the ext rom (as noted in step 4 in your tutorial) '\Extended_Rom', that is, with an underscore ('_') and not a hyphen ('-')? I am pretty sure it is spelled with an underscore.

u are correct there is a missplelling .it has been corrected,thanks for pointing that out.and good luck to.

please redownload the tutorial ,there was a missplelling on it.even doo its not critical ,it is just to avoid confusion.

I hardly ever carry a laptop pc since I've gotten the 8125.
I managed to download, unzip and displaý it, but pdf files don't wrap text, so it's too hard to read the file. I can wait until I get to a PC, but if you could post it in (pocket) Word, I would br sooo happy.

Works like a charm. I am able to load the CABs to the extended ROM. Now, waiting for the other portion of your tutorial... how to disable the "User Input" when installing the CAB files...

Pdaviet 4 has alot of bugs and i mean lots of them the most stable version is Pdaviet 3 and the underground version.Pdaviet version is the most stable i have been using it foe along time never ever had any problems and also it is faster then Pdaviet4. today iam going t try the underground version see whats the difference between that and Pdaviet version 3. everyone asks about these two versions see bellow !!! Here are both of them u can download:

not sure there is a problem with spb time the alarm does not sound sometimes other then that had no problems with the sound

I tried it and found the sound was intermittent. Sometimes sound would come several seconds after visual indication of a call. Some sound notifications did not come up reliably. I rolled back to Faria 3.3 but do like the new interface. I tried PDAviet4 today and cannot sync with Outlook as it no longer likes the root cert <sigh>

Pdaviet4 is not stable dude instead u can try Pdaviet3 its more stable that 4 and have u tried pdaviet3 in ur ppc and thnkx for infos abt the sound today iam going to install this undersground edition hope it doestnt brick or crash my ppc!!!

Anyways, My suggestion is also to use the PDAviet3 over 4. If you need links to them, Search for the Term PDAviet here in the site and you will see a google to Google. Click it and you will see the link in the first link available in google.
My hopes for Enabling the integrated Internet Calling function in Wm6 ROM is still alive and am actively looking over the new CE ROM M$ came out with to see if I can find the missing pieces for it.

I like how certain people got all pissy when their threads were being hijacked, so they *****ed and moaned till they were made mods...now they appear to be nonexistent.

New Swype Beta Released 6/8/10

A new version of the Swype Beta came out today. Does anyone have the .apk for the Dream/Magic version?

This didn't come out today but I'm using

I believe warez falls under programs/apps you would normally have to pay for. Just because beta isn't public, doesn't mean its an application that usually costs money. Releasing it isn't doing the company any harm financially.

Got the update and it's quite an improvement in speed and accuracy over the leaked versions downloadable everywhere. I would be careful about posting it to any sharing sites, as it is licensed to your individual phone and your beta agreement likely contains some language that can get you in some serious trouble. Swype is great and is being included with more and more OEM handsets, which means they have more to gain from going after pirates. IMHO...

I hope this won't make it any problem. :O I already gave the app out to some people. Does anyone know how to remove personal info and trial period limit?

someone in the nexus forum hacked the beta so that any phone with the same resolution can use it. if someone can upload the file, maybe we can do that here too. PM me if you want to be more discrete.

Yeah, I just posted on the Nexus one thread how to go through the process of hacking the beta that I received. If someone here knows how to do that I can always provide the new version. I have a CDMA Hero but it is the same screen resolution as the G1. I am trying to get it on my wifes hero, my firends G1, and my bros Mytouch 3g since all are same resolution.

I plan to get the samsung galaxy s but in the meantime a 320x480 version of the new beta with no expiration would be amazing.

I managed to get the latest beta for hvga. Im not sure if im allowed to post it though

I did but the only place that seems to have it is some site in another language that I do not understand. I went thru the site to find a link, and think I found it but I have to register to get the link. Since I dont understand the site I wont know how to registered. I will keep looking thanks for the help

Nope thats the site Use google translate although i had problems with it, it worked flawlessly if i just went straight to the site and let chrome translate it for me
But yea u gotta register and confirm in ur email n then download it But works flawlessly, i even themed it.

It's sad to say but I have to surrender in himalaya crazy party.
Firstly - My himalaya died (while charging, my brother sit on it, charging port died, as well as display)
Secondly - My second hima was lost, maybe stolen, don't know. Someday I missed it (totally drunk).
Thirdly - There is ABSOLUTELY no money gain for that, nothing like HD2 forums, or just YAHUAHAHAH(etc) donations. I did it for free, now I know it was not good.
I don't have cash to revive my hima, also I don't want to.
All my kitchens and tools will stay here, maybe someday some idiot will use it and achieve some money on my work, as always people did and do.
I also will downgrade me from Moderator state there.
Sorry bros, it's a must.

As a gift to his 18th birthday, I managed, ather to get a new used hima from israel to bahain, although postage is not allowed to the middle east from there.

if you do is there any chance of releasing the final version of "Aerokitchen 6 beta test" so it is not beta anymore before you leave.
if you have any old himalaya files or stuff before you delete them off your pc is there any chance of uploading them somewhere so they dont go to waste...
and bcuz Aerokitchen 6 is so good with its own hima builder could you write a quick guide on how to add any new windows mobile builds to it that might come in the future?

I replied there.
I think it would be hard to do final version of AK6 without any testing etc, but I would try.
I have one experiment to test at now, I'm searching somebody to test so I would post it here too.
EzInput is 8 mb weight, some more, don't remember
I did 3 mb weight EzInput to work natively on our himalaya.
EzInput cab in attachment, so test it, please.

i have been testing the "3 mb weight EzInput" and all seems ok and working good so far ( 2 days testing )
it would be great if you could release a final for AK6 as it is such a good, and one of a kind thing for hima !
