I don't believe the WM6 ROM that I got contains a Radio ROM, so I'm still using my old Radio ROM 2.47.11, which I think it's the latest.
shogunmark posted this awhile back on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279380

i have 2.47.11 on WM6, and i have some problems, my device keeps rebooting when talking over 5 minutes... was ok in the WM5 3.2 version, but now im getting problems again....

I use T-Mobile 2.19.11 radio, works perfect (never change a winning team!).

oh, thats nice if its working... gonna grab that one then.... hope its on the ftp, and the RADIO ONLY update thanx for info !!!
love your .cab hacks , they work for WM6 also
just needed to get few more cabs and the OS is fast, and stable... nice work everyone

Would that be on the US network?
GSM when it boots is the radio rom right?
I seem to be experiencing some problems most notably the reception has gotten worse (in terms of # of bars) since upgrading from your molski ROM to the WM6 rom, as well as the prompts for roaming.

Does this rom work for Cingular in the US? I just loaded it as 2.25 was giving me weird issues on wm6, but since this is a euro spec radio not sure how it handles 850

hjkl;' why no delete?

Everyone is saying to use the tmobile 2.19.11 radio rom but all i can find is the UK version. Does this work in the US? If not, where can i find a US version? Search doesnt help much, and google gives me junk. I dont trust many other sites then here or tmobiles site, so any help would be appreciated.

It will work.... it's the version number that counts.

all the same afaik (all of them are quadband, so no problem) - just go ahead with the UK one!

Heh... when searched failed me, I kept trying with google, and oddly enough, it found an instance of "2.19" and "radio" that the internal search did NOT find. sure enough, that thread had a post where someone (with an american flag symbol in his info) said he used that rom, so i tried it out. I called myself, and the call went thru, so I would say its safe for now. Thank you for your reply though, I was expecting a "search for it" reply if any.

Same kinda question from me but I have the Qtek 2020i branded version.
Here's my details:

I don't know what this means...how do I determine the type of user I am and what's the differences?
I want to upgrade as suggested but I don't want any "O2" branding or XDA specific stuff on my phone.
Can I still safely install the above recommendations.
Cheers
Wayne
This may be stupid but waht does the update radio stack/extended rom do for me?!
And will there be any side effectS?
Also, is the update from o2 v1.11.162 better than the link you provided?
Thats an interesting question, I have seen people talk of updated radio versions and whatnot - but I haven't actually heard how they will benefit me or why I should do it.

there's no updates for bad effect. all for good stuff..... the link that i gave you is the update from Pug, he edit the rom for O2 and make it more effective for your device. he's doing for community, not for money. only "Great Job & Thanks" can replace the word stupid from you.
im newbies like you too, thats why i follow the suggestion from the expert. they just giving benefit to you.....

What, you lose stability and control but gain a crayola GUI?
Before I bother 'upgrading' things I need a good reason, and saying its like going from 98 to XP is seriously not going to convince me.

I went from Radio 1 to 1.3 with the O2 Firmware from here on my 2020i and it's working better with GPRS. I noticed that the Radio 1 wouldn't always connect. I used the same setting with 1.3 and it's fine everytime.
(saying that XP is better that 98, is a close call. Now if you had of said 98se then thats a different ball game  )

2.26 Custom Rom

To prevent confusion I wanted to state again that I am going to be releasing a ROM based on the 2.26 Final ROM, I just need some time to play with it. Expect it in a few days...

We've made some progress decoding what is in the extended rom, documented here:

You may find it useful and I apologize for guessing that you wouldn't have time for a device you no longer use.
what benefits will this rom have over the operators versions...?

thanks for your hard work. I've been using your 2.24 rom for a while now with no complaints.
Do you think you'll be going to make custom roms after this one?
Yoohoo! Thank you Xelecin.
as an EX-SK2 user, xelecin is probably the ONLY reason why i haven't converted to SK3
Xelencin. How's the sidekick III? Do you miss the Wizard yet? Have you played with th TyTN?
I hope T-Mobile is successful in acquiring the spectrum needed for 3G and will be offering 3G devices next year. I'd hate to go back to Cingular or Verizon.

as far as im aware t-mob usa are currently rolling out 3G as we speak... have you heard/read something different....
I don't think T-Mobile has enough spectrum to offer UMTS at this time, that is what they hope to win in the FCC auction that starts Aug 9.
How is the work going? Really looking forward to this ROM. Is there any way to flash it on to Qtek 9100 with your previous ROM (2.24)?
BTW, I've got some weird bug - 9100 (xelencin 2.24, also tested with Mr.Clean 2.24a) can't connect to WPA-protected WiFi networks. Unsecured and WEP are fine.
Anyone met something alike?
And also, what do I need to do to downgrade to Qtek ROM 2.18 RUS (for testing WiFi)?
Any hope for Java in the custom 2.26 ROM?

Wait a minute... are you kidding me? Did Xelecin really dump the MDA for the Sidekick III? I can't believe that, wow I thought that he was loving the MDA like we were. Well Thanks for continuing to upgrage the roms. Why am I some how very dissappointed though?
Your new rom would be great, I just tried to update with the T-Mobile rom and got an "Invalid Vender ID" message. I'm using your 2.24 now.

Need Wizard radio 2.71.11

Can someone please upload radio v2.71.11? http://phase.ndnshift.net/ no longer exists.

Radio On Rapid
Thank You for posting that. I've been looking for 2 days now trying to find it.
crashes everytime i run it, just about doing the upgrade..
Having trouble with RapidShare.
Can someone upload Radio Rom 2.71.11 to the XDA-Dev FTP site in the Wizard Radio Roms folder:
Thanks in anticipation.
Mike
I managed to get RapidShare to work again (not sure why it blipped!)
So I have it correctly now. I tried to upload it to the FTP but it didn't work. I was given "permission denied" errors.
I also tried the upload area too, which had the same error. Am I doing something wrong? Or is the FTP site no longer used for new uploads? Is there a different username & password needed for uploads?
I'm happy to upload if shown how, but equally, RapidShare link above is working correctly too.
Mike
Update: I tried xdaupload:[email protected] but that said "530 Login incorrect". I guess I have missed something somewhere... maybe the FTP is closed for new uploads at the moment.

2.19. seems to be the best for any WM6 or 6.1 as all the others seem to get lost calls. Its also dependent on your provider. Some people has better luck with laster versions but like I said it depends on who you are with and where.

Um....there is no radio 2.19 for the treo 750 or hermes. The latest rev is 1.54.30 I believe.
wheres the thread "upgrading radio only" ??

Merlyn is right. I made a mistake and was thinking about my wizard 8125 and not my Treo 750. Radio 2.19 is for the wizard.

Diamond newbie

Hi there one thing I want to say is thanks to all you guys for this forum its been great reading.
I wanted to confirm that I have a Diamond through T-mobile, UK, and currently running
ROM: 1.37.110.3 WWE
ROM DATE: 6/20/08
RADIO: 1.00.25.03
PROTOCOL: 52.26a.25.09U
Looking through the forum there are plenty of ROM versions there. The HTC website won't support the DL of 31-7-08 ROM with the serial I have, which I think is down to T-mobile.
Can you guys point me in the direction of the best radio and ROM for my version of the Diamond.
Sorry to be a pain but I'm confused at all the version at present
Many thanks
Best Radio would be 1.00.25.05 0r 06 to some.
Best ROM depends upon the user. I prefer lite ROMs always as I like to customize the rest my own way. So far, Im stuck to Bepe' eLite 0.97 version! Most stable yet I believe..
Regards,
Carty..
So it seems to get one that best suits your individual needs.
Many thanks
I got my diamond through t-mobile and the best thing ive ever done with the device is getting rid of the t-mobile software that slows the handset to a stop.
Im currently using radio version .07
and have tried both swiftbl 5.0 and duttys 1.6 roms
vast vast improvement on either rom compared to t-mobiles stock rom

Is there anyway of getting hold of the t-mobile stock as I am wary with my technical expertise that I will 'fudge' the fist flashes up and need to reload the stock ROM.
I have read that it can be dumped from a reading of the phone but apprently it needs to be reconstructed!!!!
This is where I got completely lost!
Cheers

The stock t-mob ROM is floating about on the diamond forums somewhere if you ever need it. Just make sure you flash Hardspl and you'll be fine.
I have got the Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex but cant tell you a version number as it does not seem to be on there.
Basically with the HardSPL flashed the Diamond will reset and carry on with the ROM it has until you flash a different one, and the same for the radio?
Thanks for your help
pretty much yeah
check out http://modmydiamond.info
for me bepe Rom it's very good.
about radio for me 1.00.25.07 it's better than 1.00.25.05
