Only if you stream it from an internet broadcast via WAN or GPRS.

What is this XDA Developers or XDA Users? It should be able to write a radio app that gets the radio signal from the device.........
I actually made a program that lowered the frequency the phone is receiving, but due to its digital nature, I only get DAB radio.

The most simple answer is : go to buy a FM/mp3 player with bluetooth enabled and pair it with your O2 XDA mini-S.
This is what i am doing with my Asus.
Why dont you buy a nokia HS 12W bluetooth handsfree it has FM in it and works with the mini s ?
fm radio
you also might consider to buy the htc P3300.
it has fm-radio on board as well as gps
fm radio
this is probably useless and off topic but i did come across this fm tuner application for the Eten G500 described here
http://msmobiles.com/news.php/5193.html
Obviously is useless on my GPS free Prophet, but i did wonder (probably stupidly) whether it might work on a HTC with built in GPS??
I think it can be downloaded from here
http://www.eten-users.net/index.php?showtopic=2634&st=15
fm radio
though on checking that link don't think you can download the file anymore
so instead i've attached it below
View attachment Eten_G500_FM_Tuner.zip
at least, i think i have......
be interested to see if anyone can get this working
OH, what about using my Wizard as a microwave, or turning the camera into a 10 megapixel camera by applying a genious patch... quite funny thread!! LOL
Are you guys serious??

Well, perhaps not 100%, but (and forgive me for being a little ignorant) if you can activate GPS (as is being discussed on the Hermes forum) then would that mean you could also receive RDS?? sorry for the basic lesson needed....

cause the Hermes has a GPS capable Qualcomm chipset (though it's not evident whether it has a proper antenna) but the Wizard doesn't have either that or a FM tuner...

When a rom like this will be available, and will it ever be available?
Does anyone here have certified information by HTC?
Of course beside the "facts" writen in Wiki page about 5th of the month...

yes- and where would we download this ROM? When will the P3600 ship with this already loaded for us nuffies who dont want to brick the pda/phone?
Now if only the phone had a fm radio as well...
With Windows Mobile 6 (I heard Crossbow is going to be sixth WM) just around the corner, I hope HTC stuff that into the next ROM, along with the GPS, possible FM radio and better-use of the ATI chip.
could i get xbox360 emulator for the Trinity ??

I am told the new ROM will increase available memory to 1GB so that Vista can be installed on the Trinity.

Would you guys quit posting threads with subjects like this?
I mean, how would you like it if I started posting threads called "AMAZING NEW WAY TO DOUBLE BATTERY LIFE?" and inside it was "Hay guys, any ideas how to do this?"
Just give it another week and we'll have our damn GPS.
Well, assuming that HTC is REALLY going to post new ROMs, and assuming that HTC is REALLY going to enable GPS support in the new ROM.
Btw, any chance of getting them to enable the FM Radio while they are still in the generous mood?

Sorry... I forgot to tell that the test is made in Paris, France (French language web site)
But, there is no details about the ROM... However, they mentionned that the tested ROM, includes a test version of TomTom Navigator.
The article, mainly compare the performances between the Glofiish X500 and HTC P3600 GPS devices (see the pictures of article 2).

Hi guys,
Have just got a HTC Diamond. I've noticed it has very poor 3g or sometimes even E or g reception in places where my old phone worked fine.
Am very disappointed with this, as I really like the phone but practicality is also very important.
Is there anything I can do to improve the 3g reception please?
Have a search on this forum using the SEARCH function and put in bout H reception or 3G or bad reception.
I had problems with my HTC Touch Diamond, but after updating to the latest ROM version using the eclub i have found my Diamonds reception alot better.
What version of RADIO is your phone running? START, SETTINGS, SYSTEM TAB, DEVICE INFORMATION.
As far as i can tell from this forum, version 1.00.25.05 is the best RADIO out at the moment.
Hope this helps!

Let us monitor the strength of the radios
Hi!
I think, for me..bull****!
As I can remember from my trinity times (I loved them) there was a programm - I can't remember the name - which gave a lot of information of the radio!
As I used to flash my trinity very often I couldn't remember the rom/cooker which placed this tool!
Any suggenstions? Maybe tnyynt or udK or FInixNOver can remember?!
Thx!

unfortunatley the only improvement you will gain is by updating the radio, make sure you research it well before you attempt it if youre unsure of what youre doing.
Im not sure if i can link to external websites here but check out http://modmydiamond.info/
*mods feel free to remove the link if it violates the sites terms and conditions*

If you want a free, objective way to check the reception in your area BEFORE you lock yourself with a specific carrier, you should really check out “Got Reception?” (http://www.gotreception.com).
Hey mates, really appreciate that forum. It's very useful. I have an idea... Is it possible to use our Diamond like a transmitter for iPod? Or is there any program that we can use to check the weight of something?
Thanks in advance.
Best wishes.
JS.
Transmitter, how would that be possible without any built in FM transmitter? If that´s what you thought?
How do you want to weight anything with the Dimamond? That´s not possible!
Well there is FM Radio and i thought that it is possible to be done something like this. Well it's just an idea...If someone can realize it it will be very nice I think...
*ironic on*and if the camera-diod would be usable as a flashlight this will be also very nice*ironic off*
It's just not working, the FM Radio is a reciver no transmitter and won't be turned into one by software
(Well: HTC implemented a Multitouch surface and didn't really used it, maybe they also implemented a FM transmiter and don't told us
In this case it would be possible^^)
This is almost a good as the post about a program to charge the battery

I don't want to be bad, but I have a KS20, and the camera LED flash CAN be used as a flashlight (volume down with phone on standby).
Quite a useful feature, also.
I'm changing for a Touch Pro, which doesn't have that!
FM transmitters are technicaly illegal in many european countries, but that is irrelevant since it doesnt have one, and what exactly was you thinking the phone can do to weigh something?

Maybe if someone wrote a little app to monitor the accelerometer as the object was dropped on it... I'm not going to volunteer for that one, though...
Clint
If the display can measure pressure-strength it should be possible to a small degree.
Well I just like the idea, I know that's not possible, but I'm trying to think for useful things without realization.
Hmm, whos going to volunteer their diamond for the max load test on that one then?
Hey guys,
I have attached the FM transmitter CAB, it is the version used on Eten Pocket PC Phones.
I tested it on my phone - it runs but messes up all other sounds such as ring tones and musics etc.
It doesn't do anything probably because the device lacks some transmitter hardware?
It is russian a version but that doesn't matter - you need to install both files to be able to run it.
Wish someone could make it work!!!
sorry if the question was alrady asked here!!!! search gave me answers just for android !! but in windowsphone 7.5 ???

Sent from my HTC Ace S using XDA App
Just apply DEV_WIFI_PLUS_EU_LEO.CAB and it will work w/o the need to enable Wi-Fi in advance. Bluetooth will start working normally as well.
Have you applied DEV_WIFI_PLUS_EU_LEO.CAB ? I did it and had to start from scratch with the update prosess.

Yuki said this of the internal antenna:
"Radio is working without the need of headphones.
The same, a reg trick to bypass the headphones detection, so it let start the radio without.
Just a piece of metal in bad conditions or simply your finger on the headphones conector and you'll have your antenna."
It doesn't work brilliantly, but with a wire coathanger you can get reception. A high+low tech solution to having a radio

i meant, there is no antenna or extension to antenna in form of earphones.
This phone is from a Chinese company, no carrier endorsed, I seriously doubt that they would intensionally stop us from getting fm radio they get nothing out of doing that only carriers that want to charge you for data, but I am definitely positive that this company would leave some hardware out to save a few pennies.
To me I would think having the fm radio as an option would be a good selling option, but what can I tell you, those companies are funny that way.
