Sent from my HTC Ace S using XDA App
Just apply DEV_WIFI_PLUS_EU_LEO.CAB and it will work w/o the need to enable Wi-Fi in advance. Bluetooth will start working normally as well.
Have you applied DEV_WIFI_PLUS_EU_LEO.CAB ? I did it and had to start from scratch with the update prosess.

Yuki said this of the internal antenna:
"Radio is working without the need of headphones.
The same, a reg trick to bypass the headphones detection, so it let start the radio without.
Just a piece of metal in bad conditions or simply your finger on the headphones conector and you'll have your antenna."
It doesn't work brilliantly, but with a wire coathanger you can get reception. A high+low tech solution to having a radio

What is this XDA Developers or XDA Users? It should be able to write a radio app that gets the radio signal from the device.........
I actually made a program that lowered the frequency the phone is receiving, but due to its digital nature, I only get DAB radio.

The most simple answer is : go to buy a FM/mp3 player with bluetooth enabled and pair it with your O2 XDA mini-S.
This is what i am doing with my Asus.
Why dont you buy a nokia HS 12W bluetooth handsfree it has FM in it and works with the mini s ?
fm radio
you also might consider to buy the htc P3300.
it has fm-radio on board as well as gps
fm radio
this is probably useless and off topic but i did come across this fm tuner application for the Eten G500 described here
http://msmobiles.com/news.php/5193.html
Obviously is useless on my GPS free Prophet, but i did wonder (probably stupidly) whether it might work on a HTC with built in GPS??
I think it can be downloaded from here

though on checking that link don't think you can download the file anymore
so instead i've attached it below

cause the Hermes has a GPS capable Qualcomm chipset (though it's not evident whether it has a proper antenna) but the Wizard doesn't have either that or a FM tuner...

Hi guys,
Have just got a HTC Diamond. I've noticed it has very poor 3g or sometimes even E or g reception in places where my old phone worked fine.
Am very disappointed with this, as I really like the phone but practicality is also very important.
Is there anything I can do to improve the 3g reception please?
Have a search on this forum using the SEARCH function and put in bout H reception or 3G or bad reception.
I had problems with my HTC Touch Diamond, but after updating to the latest ROM version using the eclub i have found my Diamonds reception alot better.
What version of RADIO is your phone running? START, SETTINGS, SYSTEM TAB, DEVICE INFORMATION.
As far as i can tell from this forum, version 1.00.25.05 is the best RADIO out at the moment.
Hope this helps!

Hi!
I think, for me..bull****!
As I can remember from my trinity times (I loved them) there was a programm - I can't remember the name - which gave a lot of information of the radio!
As I used to flash my trinity very often I couldn't remember the rom/cooker which placed this tool!
Any suggenstions? Maybe tnyynt or udK or FInixNOver can remember?!
Thx!

unfortunatley the only improvement you will gain is by updating the radio, make sure you research it well before you attempt it if youre unsure of what youre doing.

Hey mates, really appreciate that forum. It's very useful. I have an idea... Is it possible to use our Diamond like a transmitter for iPod? Or is there any program that we can use to check the weight of something?
Thanks in advance.
Best wishes.
JS.
Transmitter, how would that be possible without any built in FM transmitter? If that´s what you thought?
How do you want to weight anything with the Dimamond? That´s not possible!
Well there is FM Radio and i thought that it is possible to be done something like this. Well it's just an idea...If someone can realize it it will be very nice I think...
*ironic on*and if the camera-diod would be usable as a flashlight this will be also very nice*ironic off*
It's just not working, the FM Radio is a reciver no transmitter and won't be turned into one by software
(Well: HTC implemented a Multitouch surface and didn't really used it, maybe they also implemented a FM transmiter and don't told us
In this case it would be possible^^)

I don't want to be bad, but I have a KS20, and the camera LED flash CAN be used as a flashlight (volume down with phone on standby).
Quite a useful feature, also.
I'm changing for a Touch Pro, which doesn't have that!
FM transmitters are technicaly illegal in many european countries, but that is irrelevant since it doesnt have one, and what exactly was you thinking the phone can do to weigh something?

Maybe if someone wrote a little app to monitor the accelerometer as the object was dropped on it... I'm not going to volunteer for that one, though...
Clint
If the display can measure pressure-strength it should be possible to a small degree.
Well I just like the idea, I know that's not possible, but I'm trying to think for useful things without realization.
Hmm, whos going to volunteer their diamond for the max load test on that one then?
Hey guys,
I have attached the FM transmitter CAB, it is the version used on Eten Pocket PC Phones.
I tested it on my phone - it runs but messes up all other sounds such as ring tones and musics etc.
It doesn't do anything probably because the device lacks some transmitter hardware?
It is russian a version but that doesn't matter - you need to install both files to be able to run it.
Wish someone could make it work!!!
Hello, i've a big problem with my new stereo bluetooth headset:
I bought this : cgi.ebay.fr/Casque-Stereo-Bluetooth-MP3-Appels-tel-BLEU-NOIR_W0QQitemZ280484580339QQcmdZViewItemQQptZFR_LC_TV_Son_Home_Cinema_Aisle_Product_Domain?hash=item414e2f0bf3
(sorry i'm new and i can't post outside link because all new user accounts will be verified by moderators before this restriction is removed.)
My problem is when i want appairing, everythink ok, hd2 find my headset, with a headset icon, but when finaly it goes to apparaing, the phone give me a code with six numbers (125262 for example), and i ask me it's the same on the headset, but in my notice, they say that the code is 0000.
If i say yes, it's the same, the phone tell me that it can apparaing.
If i say no, i go out the bluetooth menu.
I don't understand why, if somebody would help me, it's great
I've tested the headset with another phone (LG), and everythink is ok (it ask me a code (0000))
I'm under stock orange rom 1.43
Sorry for my English, i'm French, thanks
Nobody have an idea ?
On google, i have search, but none problem would be same with mine.

Try to manually enter passcode to pair. Make sure your S9 is in pairing mode.
I have no problem to pair Sony DR-BT22A and Samsung SBH650, but I have to enter passcode manually.
Thanks for your answer.
I don't understand how enter manualy the code, because this code is given by my phone and it's not the same all time.
This code seems like to pairing two phone, because he have six numbers and not four.

I think you missunderstood: We don't have the same issue, because it works fine for me! When I want to pair the two devices, it asks for a code on my HD! I can then enter 0000 and it pairs!
I understand, we don't have the same matter ....
But why it ask me a code, then normaly, i must give the code (0000).
That's ok with other phone, i've tested and everything is ok, but not on my HD2.
Then, it is a rom problem, or a headset problem ?
I'm really losing me.

BTW: I was born in Marseille!

Thanks to try to help me, and it's good, you're born in France
Ok the screen capture is in French, but someone have an idea ?
I've look into all bluetooth settings, no where it talk me a security code ...
Hmm... strange...
I just took another look at the ebay-auction (I only glanced at the picture the first time) and now I'm not sure we have the same headset anymore!
I have a Motorokr S-9 (http://direct.motorola.com/ens/s9/Headset_Home.asp) which looks pretty much EXACTLY like the picture in the ebay-auction - but the auction text doesn't mention Motorokr or even S-9 at all! As a matter of fact - it doesn't mention any brand at all! (Or did I just miss that part? My French is very rusty...
I took another look at the ebay-auction because I noticed it said Z-W88 at the top of the screenshot you posted, whereas it says "Motorola S9" on mine!
So the question is: What headset do you actually have!?
EDIT: And you're very welcome!
When i buy it on ebay i know it's not a motorola, see the price.
For me it is a reproduction, then perhaps not good quality, but it run with others phone but not with my HD2 ...
I need this sort of headset, and i will buy a motorola, but now, i'm afraid if the headset will be apparaing with my phone

Ok - so we don't have the same headset.
I'm afraid I don't understand this sentence: "i'm afraid if the headset will be apparaing with my phone"
The problem is: The HD2 does not have the same bluetooth stack as 95 % of the other phones! While almost all of the other phones with Windows Mobile use the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack, the HD2 uses the Widcomm Bluetooth Stack. This could be the explanation why your headset works with other phones but not with the HD2...
EDIT: By the way: Take a look at this. A lot of sellers are selling the original S-9 on ebay Germany for only a few Euros more than you payed! Is there any way you could return the one you bought and by a real S-9?
I thought in fact, if you've got the blue label bluetooth, it was compatible.
I don't know that exist different sort of bluetooth.
When i say "i'm afraid", i would say if i buy a more expensive headset (motorola S9 for example), it would be run with my phone ?
Edit : thanks for links, on french ebay we don't have this price ...
I'm very interest for the first motorola on your link.

Yeah, you would expect bluetooth to be bluetooth - but it isn't!
I have a S-9 and it works great with my HD2 - IF you keep two things in mind:
You have to use a registry tweak to optimize the sound. Otherwise it will sound like crap. Of course I can give you the tweak if you buy a S-9.
To keep the sound quality good, you have to carry your HD2 at a location on your upper body where nothing interfers with the connection. I keep it in my breast pocket. The reason for this is, that the Widcomm Stack automatically switches to a lower quality whenever something interfers with the communication between the two devices. When calling someone, this actually makes sense: Instead of loosing the call, the call quality just gets a little bit worse. But with music, this sucks. Whenever I carry my HD2 in my pant pockets, I have to pause and resume playback once in a while because the quality was switched down by the Widcomm Stack... Quite annoying, actually.
Why are you interested in the first one? That one is actually used! You could get this one. I'm sure they'll send it to France. They're shipping from Hong Kong, so Germany or France doesn't make a difference. Just contact them on ebay!
Thanks for your help, you're great.
I'll try to buy one on your links.
Then i don't understand why it ask me a code, surrely compatibility reason.

Yeah... I guess because it is a copy of the real thing, they have used some cheaper bluetooth implementation that isn't compatible with the Widcomm Stack...
Good luck then!
And if the sellers all refuse to ship to France I'm sure there is something we could do (e.g. I order it and send it to you... But that would mean you'd have to pay for the extra shipping from here to Marseille...)
After different search on Google, now i understand widcomm stack and microsoft stack are different.
I can see too, on different forum, that it do a lot of compatibility problems with the HD2.
I think you're right : "I guess because it is a copy of the real thing, they have used some cheaper bluetooth implementation that isn't compatible with the Widcomm Stack".
