The ROM is in /Uploads/HTC MTeoR - Dopod 595 - Imate Sp Jas/htc mteor
Radio seems to be 1.16.00.10
Edit: I took a look at the qtek.se site and saw that they updated the information on the MTeoR. They now write: tripple band UTMS; HSPDA; Quadband EDGE. Sounds promising!

seems to be majority of issues are fixed in this rom.
MT CSD support is still broken though

what? after the new ROM upgrade, htc breeze becomes quad band GSM with triband UMTS? is this true?? can anyone verify this?? dopod595's radio is 1.06.00.10. looks kind of old..

I think the MTeoR has the same circuits as the TyTN which has all of these features, so I don't think it is impossible. But I agree it sounds too good to be true!

NO there is no support for Russian language is included with this ROM update.

I install this update on my phone.

Alexnvidia, how can i verify the presence of quad band GSM ?

I just uploaded my MteoR and it seems that the software problems are fixed.
I could't take a second call and syncing and have a telephonecall together gave network and data connection problems.
After a first test everything was functioning well.

im not too sure too jipeey, the presence of quadband means there is 850MHz GSM support, and i think we need feedback from north american users. also there is triband UMTS, which im not sure how to test it as well.. anyone has a better solution?
jipeey, what you can do for us is, can you please post the ROM version, AKU version, Radio version, etc.. here? all this info can be found in settings-->about and system information. thanks in advance

I cannot find the AKU version.

I found a (new?) parameters with this ROM:
In Parameters/Phone(1)/Band selection(7), I can select a GSM or WCDMA network or auto....
What is it ?

It's for band selection, to let your phone to be able to choose between 2G/3G.
This menu was already in previous ROM.
But now it seems that the mail account bug (some accounts disappeared after reboot).

I restart my mteor many times since the upgrade.. mails accounts are still here

I declare here (as if anybody cares - but I just want to have it written) that if Trinity is proven to have FM radio ALSO, I will buy it the same day I find out about it.
Not because "FM radio" is anything THAT special, but because it will be one-more-thing-too-much on a device for me to wait for something else. (where "something else" is only Flame *).
(* which if it is proven to have GPS - it won't but anyway - will make me sell any other PDA/phone I have for it)
(I just hope I will be able to ask the proper people at CeBit)
Now back to the topic, WHO will dump the Australian (WWE) ROM and/or final DOPOD 810 ROM already? Is it that hard? Is it possible that only 2-3 people that have access to the fora have these new ROMs? If find it hard to believe.

i heard that the new rom is coming out in february 10... at least in singapore it is... it's the official dopod asia rom with gps...

Will that include Australia? Feb 10 is a Saturday as well ... not sure that they will release an update on a Saturday ....

Original HTC ROM?

Is there somewhere I can download the original HTC ROM?
I am having numerous problems with the new ROM. GPS works great, but I have lost voice dialing and the device is no longer recognized under Media Player. It's getting to be more trouble than it's worth.

I'm not having probs yet but would be good to know there was a ROM out there to revert to.
HTC don't provide a download but maybe there update isn't too far off.

I think the WWE version is available here on the ftp site.

I discussed with a friend today. He has a mobile shop at Lausanne. He said that they received confirmation from Dangaard (Swiss and European HTC importer) concerning an official HTC GPS ROM update in March.
The update should be available at http://www.sp-business.com/ web site.
I tried with my IMEI... but it didn’t accept it

New Dopod D810 Australia ROMS

Released on the 19th of March, there are 2 new ROMS (non GPS) for the following networks:
Optus (1.17.707.4) - Download
Hutchison '3' (1.23.707.5) - Download
Of note ... it appears that the Hutchison '3' ROM includes Radio ROM 1.33.30.10 from the description. As I am a Telstra Customer, I am waiting for the Telstra ROM.

I've been playing with a few different WM6 roms available and decided I should probably go back to an official WM5 ROM because of the little bits and pieces that doesnt quite work together atm.
I thought I have read in the past that upgrading the radio would improve reception/batter etc. So my question is, can I keep the newer radio I have? How would I do that? It would appear the official ROM includes the radio update.
Do I just take a step back and then update the radio seperately?

after upgrad to WWE_1.23.405.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_GPS i have having problem with my GPS FIX.
i have tryed everythibg.
SR, HR ... Enything!
still, no luck.
i contact HTC via Mail:

Anyway my gps works like a charm!

From ACE Hellas the OFFICIAL HTC representative here in Greece i learned that on the 2nd of April we will be able to download the OFFICIAL GPS ENABLED rom from their site, the rom is ROM: 1.23.405.2
Radio: 1.38.00.11
ExtROM: 1.23.405.103
Ελληνικά: 3.3.0
The last bit is the greek customisation,if you see any difference between this and the Belgian rom please let me know because i can't.
By the way which GPS program are you using?

The ROM is officially supported by the importer of HTC devices in the Benelux (Dangaard) and also in the other countries that this importer operates.
They got the rom from HTC as they don't make them theirselves.
Maybe HTC wants you to believe it's not official, but this is not a test rom, it's really an official rom.

Until HTC upgrade their website to allow downloading of firmware, I'm guessing this is as official as we're going to get.

1. If it is a non official one... I do not think that we can install it without super CID ?
2. I do not expect that HTC will make 3 French ROMS or more (Belgian, French, Swiss...)

The part of that letter you should concentrate on is "have not released". That doesn't mean that it isn't an HTC made official ROM. It is quite official to the region in Belgium and was released by their provider...which isn't HTC, but the ROM is made by HTC and given by them to the provider in Belgium. HTC is not going to admit that there is a new ROM available elsewhere until they offer it on their own web site because people would throw a fit when they would be unable to download it. This thread title is very misleading, the rom is not "home cooked". You should spend some time trouble shooting your device setup, the problems that you are experiencing is not the fault of the rom.

The ROM is only official in the countries where HTC has released it. But they won't make a WWE ROM for each country so this will be released in every country

If you check the HTC-europe web site, they say " there are not ANY upgrade to ANY of our products...." HTC will not admit they made them for whatever the legal/technical reasons they may have....
