Ok so after extensive search on this wonderful site ive found more then enough helpful hints/tricks and not to mention cab files and programs that are just incredible for my Wing...attached is a screen shot...ok so the only issue i have is of course speed, i have been endlessly searching for a stable rom without any bugs and a sharp look (like the touchit lg menu one) and on top of that i have read to 'how tos' on flashing a new rom and still have no clue how to do it....its obvious the original tmobile rom is the slowest and lags...is there anyone who can recommend a rom and help with the step by step preocess??? what is the first step and when i do flash to the new rom will i lose everything i currently have on the device now...? i know newbie questions, sorry...thanks for the help in advance
I reccommend you use one of ITJE's Touch IT roms. The latest touch it Rom is 4.4, but it isn't 100% compatible with the Wing, so I'd reccommend you try the Touch IT 2.3
touchIt roms don't always flash right for people. Use opentouch or pdaviet rom.

after it came back from assistance i can't flash my pda wm5 with an other rom !!
Try to flah the rom from a pc with windows xp and after i've istalled hard spl 1.20, i've tried to flash a rom like nial,like finix anyone but nothing.
The Installation finish but don't instal many graphic items !! for example i can see up e down bar but not main desktop, and the rom doesn't work well !!
Seems that there is a protection that don't permit me to istall full rom !!!

Hi!! I am exactly with the same problem as you are. My Trinity came from assistance a week ago and now i can't uprgrade to any other rom's. It lacks visual efects such the manila or the wallpaper and in some rom's (yes I've tried lot's of them) the start menu doesn't open.

All The tweaks Done .. 100's of tweaks & programs ect. Installed.
I would Really Like to make a Custom Rom from the setup I have.

But get errors when I try to dump.
I know I can use a backup program Sprite Ect. But then I have to Install
the old rom go through all the setup .. and then run the backup ect. ect .

I already have touchflo 3d on my xperia, but now I'd like to flash a new rom.
Now my questions
1) when I do hard spl, do i have to connect the phone in tri.color screen or normal
2) how do i exit the tri color screen, did that by doing soft reset, any other possibility ??
3) Which 6.5 sense rom ??? I'm german so i'd liked to have a fast and stable rom which should be in german . I only would use a english rom if the difference is big
4)Equal which radio I have or do I have to upgrade it too
5) can i use all the programmes i downloaded so far for my xperia with stock rom??

1. follow instructions provided with hard spl program.
2. soft reset the phone or take out the battery.
3. depends on what you want in the rom, every rom has its pros and cons you need to experiment to find the one you like. Not everyone does german language rom, there is no real difference except language and what is included. Most roms are very similiar as chefs use standard packages with their own tweaks.
4. you should keep the radio that comes with the stock rom if it works in your part of the country without problems.
5. yes, you can use all the programs you have downloaded, depending on the rom you may have to download a framework program to get the best usage out of your program.

could someone compare them and tell me whether xkans rom is as fast as x826 rom (i read that its one of the fastest and bugless roms)

It's difficult to help as you didn't mention current and new ROM versions...
Maybe a task29 will help (search the forum for the corresponding thread).
I finally got it working agaun over usb, so I'm happy again.

Hello guys. Pretty noob here
A friend of mine owns a Topaz and he would be grateful if he could run Android on it. I read several posts and instructions and I'm almost sure I can help him. But I have one question for you... I tried only once to install a custom rom (on a Kovsky) and I made it first try... I remember changing some values in the registry with TotalCommander (if I'm not mistaken) and HardSPL-ing my phone before I could flash a custom ROM. Are those steps mandatory to run FRX07.1 on a stock Topaz or I just follow those instructions and nothing else?
