Congratulations,

And don't forget to cover your seats for sperm does not easily rub off ;-P
Wow....
These happy celebrations only remind some of us ho wold we are....
**musing*** midget only started walking when we were looking for some VC in silicon valley....
What were you all doing in 1990 ? @mikechannon et al
Hey Midget, happy birthday. It was mine on the 21st, a good month for birthdays
In 1990 - I was programming my TI85 calculator and getting a bollocking for not paying attention during my A-Level maths classes... I loved that calculator Girls were, and continue to be, a complete mystery.

Ha, that sounds like me! I was the only one in my school with a ti-graph link, and was always being asked to load up someones calc with drugwars, pong, etc. And making stupid password scripts, and number guessing crap. The real hard part was explaining to my english teacher why I needed a graphing calculator for her lesson...
Happy Birthday midget and ViJay

lol, we still do that with TI85's, and still get bollockings from a-level maths teachers
however i have to disagree about the girls, it was my girlfriends birthday on the 22nd, and we have been together almost 7 months now
March is definatly a good month

Not at all! Merely in the context of my "Geeky no-mates" posts, 7 months is a very cereal relationship. Be careful, next thing you know, you're better half is popping out babies and you wish you had more time for programming

oh ok
i hope not, it would ruin my chances for university (planning on studying computer engineering for 5 years in iceland)
I try not to think about that at the same time as my missus, makes me feel bad
Anyhow, gotta live for today, and stop thinking about what has/could happen
Don't worry Midget, when it happens, it happens.
Planning is better, but if and when the bubba comes along, go with it. I was never the particularly paternal type, but my little v is the best thing I could ever have done. Fortunately my input was limited to a good 30 seconds of work, so Mrs V takes credit for the remaining 21772770. It obviously shows - little v is a cute bugger, unlike me.

Guys, it's slightly too geeky to be announcing this here, but as of 6.55am this morning, I'm the proud of father of Vijay555.1, née Alexander.
Those of you wondering why I've been so quite for a while (relatively speaking!) now have an explanation  And unlike most of my releases, he came a little early too, but both beautiful mother and child are doing well
He doesn't look his best, but you wouldn't look so great having just been squeezed out of your mom either This is about 1 minute old.
God bless all,
V
PS. I know I won't be the only one, but man was I temped to hack the PC they had in the delivery room while I was waiting. Nice finger print scanner and touch screen - but VB interface The wife wouldn't have been too happy though
Congratulations, vijay A healthy and long life to Alexander - may his toys be exempt from his father's tinkering

Baby Alexander is a little ill, and will require an operation in a few weeks. I remember saying to Buzz a while ago when we found out, that if I could, I'd hack and patch him. We all really need to get out more
But rest assured, he'll be out-programming his dad as soon as I can get him to dribble less then I do on my keyboard

Hope the little fella gets better soon.

V,
Congratulations with your lovely son, he's looking very good. Hope the surgery will get him soon like he's supposed to be.
Now take it easy & enjoy these early days, you'll get used to the diaper stuff ;-) (probably not to all the breaks during the night). Take good care of him & mrs V they really need you. We can wait for some time for your new developments.
Sorry for the delayed response, haven't done much browsing the forum lately, but been thinking a lot of your family last weeks.
Warm regards from me & my family, M
Congrats. After the first 6-7 YEARS you start getting used to the extra work 8) . Thats when the marvel of the game boy lets you take a break.
How long did the birth take? My son took alost 24 hours to burts free.
yes...major league baseball...since this is the off topic forum, and spring exhibition games are just days away!
I invite all baseball fans to talk about their teams, likes, dislikes, views on specific players
..as everyon can see from my avatar, I am an AVID yankee fan, and am fairly confident 2009 = 27
even if we 'bought' our team, its the yankees being the yankees, hate it or love it (i love it)
and NO I am not a fan because of there extensive pay roll or all-star lineup

You are hereby expelled from Red Sox Nation and have 30 days to move out of R I .
Even with your " bought team ", I will make some predictions. Burnett will turn into the Burnett the Jays wasted millions on. Sabathia will wilt under the pressure and media glare of New York ( ala Randy Johnson ), Hal and Hank are just idiots and will never measure up to Dad, No matter how much money they spend.
Joba will never live up to the hype, too much too soon. Alex will be dogged and distracted all year by steroids and Madonna. We will see how Teixeira plays now that he is a rich man, set for life and really has everything to prove, but nothing to play for anymore. Posada is done, Matsui is done. Damon is done.
And Girardi won't be able to keep the circus together, like Torre did.
Watching the RED SOX in the World Series will be tough for N.Y. but hey they must be getting used to it by now. Go Sox

nothing can be said on burnette and sabathia, except that ..YOUR WRONG haha...we will have to wait until the season begins, however, Burnette will be getting better run support which will lead to more wins, giving him better confidence, and check his stats, last year, 35 games 231SO 86BB, not so shabby, that 18w 10L will translate to 21-9, and sabathia, im going to say 23w - 7L
damon, done. this is true, cabrera will step up his season, if he doesnt then he goes bye bye, and he wants to stay in NY.
Matsui is still a quality hitter, if we already have a DH he will be a valuable trade option, perhaps up the bullpen. Joba has pretty much already proven himself. Phil Hughes, should take his job as set up man, unless there is a injury to the starting rotation. and Giradi has already done a hell of a job last season with the mess he was brought into
hank + hals dicks will never be as big as Georgey boy, this is true
and p.s I excommunicated myself from R.S nation a long time ago...born a yankee fan
..anything i miss lol

You have all the stuff your parents *****ed about while you were growing up to look forward to. The older you get the more you wish you could go back in time and re live high school. Resposibility comes with age and responsibilty just sucks.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!........
good day.
@souljaboy ummmm, goodnight/morning or what ever friggin time it is where you are.
hmmmm.... so its taxes, getting married, taxes, having kids, taxes, marital stress, taxes, and parental stress, and then living out the rest of your life in decreasing health conditions, which add ANOTHER layer of stress. did i mention taxes? isnt growing up just great?
new plan for my life: either invent time machine or youth potion.

At 43, can't really complain, altough I did had some troubled time last months (not really finished, but close). But as the saying goes, a problem can be an oportunity, so I'm starting all over!
Yeap, single again, moving to another city, changing my professional life upside down, new friends, new girlfriends...
Life's good at 43, feeling like 20+.
Hey, OP, congrats, and don't worry, for every con, there's a pro.

Very sad, yet very true. I saw a clip if it on YouTube and I will say, though I am DEFINITELY not the first, that he is a 12 year old girl trapped in the body of a boy who came to realize that and somehow managed to turn himself into Americas most desirable minor.
On Topic:
Not much older then you, I am 23 mid october - but I am loving how things are in my life. Okay so there are loats of responsibilities, and a mortgage. But at the same time, the things that come with them are well worth it! I have a gorgeous fianceé and a wonderful daughter, and a nice big house just for the 3 of us!
I didn't go to Uni, thats the con. But the pro: I wouldn't have all of what I have if I did!
Off Topic: Justin Beiber is still alive? I heard/hoped he was done with...
Can't answer your quiston cuz im younger than you But HappY BirthDaY for tomorow

well... its not that great, but at my school today, me and some friends put a sign on a step saying "broken step, please step over".
the fact that the step was made out of concrete and quite obviously not broken made it hell funny to watch as people jumped the metre or so long gap over the step XD
April Fools day is on the 2nd in the UK

Hahaha Epic
Hmmm... I was in hiding this year thanks to the epic prank I pulled off last year...
So, a friend of mine was getting married on the 2nd of April (being Friday and all) and so I got him (bridegroom) drunk on 31st March. I pretended to drink too much and passed out earlier than my friends. With another of my prankster buddy, we subsequently spiked every bottle that we didn't drink with the local equivalent of 4loko eXtreme edition. Now, we got partying up to about 6am on 1st April and by then, most of them are out, but the two of us are pretty much alright.
So we then changed the dates on everyone's watches, handphones and whatever nots, and even got the bride's family and the wedding planners into the prank. The wedding reception was planned to be in the morning at 9am, so I got the planners to wake the guys up at 8.30. Needless to say, the groom panicked and everybody got into the car. In the ensuing confusion, I made sure that everybody was wearing mismatched suits and ties.
When they arrived at the bride's place to pick her up (Malaysian tradition, because we go to the church together), the bride's whole family laughed and shouted April's Fool!
I suppose I was still not forgiven for the prank. The bride seems to have enjoyed it but the groom was out for revenge since then. Of course, I drank so much on the bachelors party that I puked (punishment for the prank), and they nearly let me drown in my own vomit.
So that's why 2011 was a quiet year for me... I'm not sure I would survive this time around...

Haha, I remember this one for next year at our company!!!
hey OT !!
Valentine's day is coming up pretty soon.
I know we've been going through the same thing every year, ranting bout it's all part of the market's plan to boost item sales and chocolates and blah blah. That's one way to look at it.
anyway, any of you got special plans you'd like to share with us ?
or is it just myself that i tend to over-fantasise on these kind of things cuz im still a kid ?
I don't think it's just you.
I'm sure there's plenty of other XDA members that are doing something for V day.
Mind you my guy (and no I'm not a girl) is not into chocolate much so flowers and teddy bears are what I'm aiming, besides he loves flowers say I could buy them more often. Got a nice little place called Black Tomato's booked for us and friends.
Men last year for the V day special they had this amazing Lamb chop souflé and salad (5 course meal) for 35$... WAS amazing. Just check out the pics.
The desert was just as equally enjoyable.
Very much looking forward to diner with friends on Tuesday it's going to be great.
