what do yall think is the best radio rom? i just flashed underground wm6 rom..works great but im missing calls..etc..wats the best radio rom u guys suggest to use?
as stated in NUMEROUS threads, most people feel the TMo UK 2.19 radio is the most reliable for WM6 ROMs. Some people have luck with 2.61 and the new 2.69, but most seem to move back to 2.19 due to missed calls and sms on the radios 2.25 and up. As always, YMMV.

Hey all,
Sorry to bother but here is a quick yes or no type question for you. I noticed that the people upgrading to the 2.16.9.1 also receive a new 02.07.10 radio ROM. I'm looking to resolve reception issues with my MDA and would like to apply only the radio ROM to my otherwise stock MDA. I have already applied 01.13.10, but I'm hoping that a newer ROM could yield better and more reliable reception. Is this possible or do I need the entire new ROM to use this new radio one? I was sent an aWizard rip of this radio and would like a few opinions before I try to apply it. Thanks.
Hi. I thought I might try getting some friendly advice from the forum here.
I have a UK MDA Vario running the latest (I think) UK T-Mob ROM 2.21.2.6 WWE. I am beginning to really hate this ROM and am thinking about going back to the Qtek 2.17 WWE I had before. The main problem I'm having is a lot of freezing and instability mainly to do with Opera Mobile and the alarm clock.
But before I do that I figured since I'm gonna be wiping my phone, I'd try the Orange ROM out of curiosity. The only problem is that the only one I might try is on the xda-dev ftp and seems to be a customised ROM with noCID. Is this worth it? Am I just being silly wanting to try this? Hell, am I being silly wanting to go back to the Qtek when I've the Mr Clean and Molski ROMs to try?
Any advice would really be appreciated since from the posts of the last couple of months, things have been getting more and more technical.
P.S. My phone is CID from before when I went from T-Mob's 1.06 to Qtek's 2.17 and has the G3 chip since its SPL/IPL is 2.xx
is there any 1 (without any tweaks)/?
Yes.
I'm making you one custom as we speak...
Isn't that what this is?

EDIT: Nevermind, I guess you don't want the ExtROM but it's hard to tell for sure when you have no sig saying what phone you have...
is there any newer cingular rom version than 2.25?
Stupidly bricked my 8125 while testing the AKU3.2. I have the ROM you asked for but no way to test it. I can still post the file anyway if you want...
Lemme know, K?
A while back I posted in Cingular customization cab??? a little custom Cingular cab I created for just this purpose. If you skip the Extended ROM setup and then install that cab then you'll have a very clean Cingular ready T-Mobile 2.26. I just made the ROM that 92GTA refers to. Sorry but I'm really not inclined to create and upload a Cingular connection only ROM.
And WOW there's a lot of brick'n going down lately!!!!
WTF ?
I just used xelencin's 2.26 and did the cing 2.25.11 radio rom only, and mine works like a champ on tmob US...
like 1/3rd uptake on siginal level in some areas, or it seem like that much anyway...
bhang
just do it!
Its been a while since I've on here. And I'm looking to upgrade my Cingular 8125 yet again.
PART-I:
Ok the first thing I want to try is just upgrading my Radio Rom since I'm missing calls and voicemails with no notification. My current Radio Rom is 02.25.11 and I seriously need this upgraded so any suggestion to which rom to use. (Please give me a link for upgrading Radio Rom only)
PART-II:
Maybe its time for me to upgrade the full ROM which is right now 2.17.7.2 WWE with Ext Rom 2.25.11.102. Its been pretty good. Not the fastest but has been very stable for me. Any rom's I should upgrade to, maybe even the Crossbow?
flash the t-mobile one that everyone loves, for the radio 2.26, then flash another which has the ext rom you want
I don't like wm6, it's buggy, and some progs don't work fully such as sbp products
superrom is quickest for me
followed by molski's 2.3
check the stickies for lockiwiz to get the t-mob, google for the others/pirate bay etc
Hi all,
I'd like to start a thread concerning Radio GSM updating. (For Wizard G3)
Which Rom's are available and what are the experiences.
How to update and which tool to use to update.
The aim is to gether the information instead of fragmented in many threads.
(I spend many ours on this forum and found lots of info, but not so much about the Radio GSM ROM, furthermore when you use the search function you might end up in the wrong thread)
I hope all the cookers and engineers will post and many users will react with there experiences.
What's your radio. You should up radio Rom which attached in OS if your radio <2.2. It's safer.
Radio attached in OS
Ok,
that sounds interesting. I bought a used Wizard with a German WM5.
Off course I'd like a ducth OS WM6. So found a great one cooked by DRAVEN187!
I CID-unlocked (It wasn't SIM locked) it and flashed the ROM which was great. Then I was experiencing trouble with the Bluetooth of my new car (Citroen C4 GP) and decided to upgrade the IPL/ SPL and Radio.
I succeeded in upgrading the IPL and SPL but not in the Radio. So the IPL/SPL are 3.08 and the radio is 1.08.
My qeustion is: how can I determin if a OS has also a radio inside?
If i got it wright you mean first to upgrade with an OS with the Radio included < 2.2. Where Can I find this?
If this is done is it advisable to flash the dutch WM6 (again) and upgrade the Rom to a even higher version?
Does this higher radio version solve the communication problem with the car-bluetooth? (actually I don't think so...)
It seems more people experiencing trouble with WM 6 and car-bluetooth. Is there a cooker who can repair this?
Thanks for helping
There should be no ROM makers that will bundle Radio ROM to it.
And...there are standalone installers for Radio ROM only such as 2.71 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1808328).
Bluetooth problem is a OS problem, upgrading Radio ROM should not help (I have a i.Tech Clip S that doesn't work with any devices that uses WM6 ROM and Microsoft BT stack, no solution)
