Vista/WM Device Center compat. Reg Editor? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Trying to edit the registry on my 8125 to allow for Wireless G connections. I dont really need to hack it for anything else but that. However I tried using the PHM Registry Editor and the installer fails, probably due to Vista and Windows Mobile Device Center compatibility.
I was wondering if anyone happened to have this same setup and installed a reg editor that worked?

In Need Of A Registry Editor

Does anyone have a freeware Registry Editor?
I tried downloading the recommend ones from freewareppc.com but neither of the best two are linked any more; PHM Registry Editor v0.70
and BitsInside RegEdit v1.2
Also is there a good theme switcher that you can preview the file?
TIA.
I've installed on my WM5 BA the PHM Reg Editor, works fine... (also with WM2003SE)
Try
http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm
It's free and has other features.
or TRE registry editor also freeware.
p.s. the one uppermost is not always the best, and look at the version and time, 2002 version 0.70 now it is 2.3 or later

Thanks for the answers.
I went to the TRE site but that show it is a Windows CE editor. Will this work on Windows Mobile 2003SE?

Themes wont work

Can anyone help !
Using a Reg editor on my O2 XDA STELLAR (HTC TYTN II), I foolishly deleted the file HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\APPS and everything in it. Now my themes wont work, just the windows default. Is there a copy of the default file I can stick back in the registry ? is it that simple or is there another procedure I can use to fix this. Using windows mobile 6.
That will teach me to back up my registry before I piss around with the settings.
I can't even get microsoft themes to install on my Stellar. What is going on?

How to regedit on HTC 370?

Apologies in advance for asking what is probably an easy question.
I'm familiar with using RegEdit on W2K but am not sure how to go about tweaking the registry on my HTC 370. Any help/guidance appreciated.

Go for Mobile Registry Editor: http://www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/2005/1/Mobile_Registry_Editor.aspx (for free). And next time UTFG
I personally use PHM to edit mine, works well and was free. Its the same as your computers OS essentially.
CeRegEditor for me. Editing the registry from the computer.. Alot easier than editing registry with mobile software..
Microsoft has their own remote registry editor (similar to the out of development MobileRegistryEditor linked kindly above). The only thing is that it installs a remote client on the phone when you run it, but it has more features than the RAPI only MobileRegistryEditor. Most of the time, I use MobileRegistryEditor though.
Thanks guys for all your help. I'd Googled this but as you can appreciate there are a LOT of registry editing packages out there and the last thing I wanted was to bodge my new HTC730 with some n00b reg hacks.
For those looking for a registry editing solution, here's a summary of the packages people have kindly responded with. From what I understand, all of these programs will let you edit your mobile's registry from the comfort of your PC.

You'll find this sort of encouraged "self-censoring" mechanism on this forum (example being above). I think people try to keep this forum more advanced than, for example, howardforums... I don't really care though and that's all that matters.

Help me, edit registry ?

I want to edit kaiser's registry when I try custom kaiser's rom.
how do it?
What are the tools?
Thank you
Depending on which rom you use there usually is a registry editor cooked in.
If you have to ask this question, I recommend not editing the registry.... Anyway, search for registry editors, there are many of them. Good luck
Use PHM Registry Editor or Total Commander or simular aps, seriously my friend. You should search a bit before making such tread.
Schaps regedt
Here u go my friend, no need to say thanks.
Thanks a lot. It's good.
CERegEditor
How about this one.
Lets you interact with your registry from your PC.

which registry editor works on htc touch diamond?

Hello everybody,
i couldn't find a registry editor that saves the settings of the values of the keys. i tried phm registry editor, resco registry and other desktop one. I can change the keys but they are not mantain the setting after the reboot. With the desktop registry i received an access denied when i try to save... in which am i wrong?? thanks
did you 'flush' the registry?
the progs you used work very well.
no.. my touch diamond is new, i only upgraded the rom download the original rom from htc site... after the changes i have to make something in the registry to save the settings?
After applying the changes, exit the programs and wait about 30s to 1min before you make your soft reset
i did, waited.. and soft reset. Then i checked again with Resco registry, the keys values were resetting again to the default value... also the tweak utility for diamond is not working on my phone...
