I've just upgraded my handset from the SPV M600 to the M700.
On my M600 I installed the Tornado A2DP hack and eventually managed to get wireless music streaming to my bluetooth enabled pioneer car stereo.
I never got any of the sound quality problems or skipping problems that other people complained about on their wireless headsets, the quality coming through the car speakers was quite amazing. I ended up writing a mortscript to "set as wireless stereo" whenever I switched bluetooth on and the stereo was recognised by the phone.
I have run in to a problem with the M700 whereby when i select "set as wireless stereo" it does nothing.
If I delete and re-pair the two devices, it seems to work (Again in amazing sound quality) until I leave the car and try to re-connect.
So.....in conclusion, on the M700, all is the same as the tornado hack on my previous M600 except that after initial pairing, the "set as wireless stereo" command won't work.
If anyone can explain why this is I'd be grateful?
If I were to install the tornado hack on the M700 would it mess anything up?
Ok so nobody was able to help so I went ahead and installed the Tornado Hack anyway and it doesn't alter anything. The "set as wireless stereo" still does nothing.
Does anybody have any problems with connecting other devices for A2DP or is it just me?

hi all,
i'm using my AKU2.3 WM5 wizard to stream stereo audio to my hifi, and it's working nicely (and in stereo).
i go to connection manager, bluetooth settings, select devices, select my belkin tunestage and then press and hold for "set as wireless stereo".
what i'd really like is an application that i can bind to a button that does this for me, as it's a pain at the moment as it disconnects the bluetooth audio connection after a period of inactivity.
anyone seen a suitable app?
also, for some reason pocketplayer has started forcing a drop of the bluetooth a2dp connection. used to work fine, it now drops a2dp on launch. a reinstall hasn't helped - anyone seen this? windows media works fine...
Hi there,
FIRST POST so go easy on me.....
I have a headset installed in my motorcycle helmet that has been working OK (via Bluetooth) with my previous mobile (Nokia E70). I could take calls as well as listen to music on the headset.
I recently upgraded to the Kaiser phone and tried to pair it with the headset last night. After recognising it it presented me with a "Set as Hands-free" checkbox (which I selected). The "Set As Wireless Stereo" option was not presented (it is greyed out)... and, I guess, as a result, I cannot listen to my music files (or the GPS instructions) through the headset.
Any ideas would be very welcome. The phone functions work fine - I can make and receive phone calls without problems.....

A2DP - Old bluetooth
Alexis,
I have the same problem. I do not have a helmet, but a carkit.
My carkit does not support A2DP. I think your helmet does not, also.
You need A2DP for this option.
But... There was a cab-file for the Hermes. I installed it, but that even does not work. I will start a new thread with a question about this.

My apologies in advance, for not being too bright, I come from a gene puddle, rather then the grander pool
I have a TytnII or MDA Vario 3 as it's called on the 3 network. I've just bought an sony ericson bluetooth stereo headphones model HBH-DS220. They pair up fine, but I only get quiet mono, in one ear piece. I found a registry tweak, but one of the listed values wasn't there and removing the other (bitpool?), makes no difference at all.
I saw another post talking about a cab being needed, but couldn't decide if that applied to this phone!
Can somebody point me to a link to fix this, thanks.
Please treat this as national sponser an idiot week and do this half-wit a favour!
Thanks in advance
Jim
Do you get stereo with your wired headset If so maybe your bluetooth headset is defective?
Surur
Have you tried the Jetware bluetooth extension, worked great on my HBH-DS980 and it added extra features to the headset
when it was paired what profiles did u see? i assume u saw wireless stereo and not just hands free. If you see wireless stereo just make sure its checked and then try the jetware solution
I am using two different models with BT Stereo and did not have a problem with connecting either. Make sure you have the "Wrieless Stereo" service shown and checked under the BT Connection Settings.
Nope, still no good!
Checked the setting and do have wireless stereo checked and have downloaded and installed jetware, rebooted the device and still get mono in one earpiece and it's quiet.
ANy other ideas?
Could somebody send me what is in their AD2P registry settings? I have a nasty feeling that it's somethig T-Mobile have messed up with the new phone!
Thanks for the rapis responces though. It's always nice to stumble on a forum with decent people in, there are so many out there that aren't as friendly...
I have just discoverd the same issue with my Plantronics bluetooth Stero Headset i.e. sound only in one earpiece. This occurs when using "Audible Player" (I don't know what happens with other audio programs). But TomTom Navigator gives me crystal clear Stereo output!! confusing eh?
BitPool 64
MaxSupportedBitPool 30
UseJointStereo 1
thats all i have in mine
Since I upgraded my breeze to WM6 my handsfree bluetooth has not been working right. I have a JVC KD-BT1 bluetooth carradio/headset
I can pair with it and I see battery status, antenna signal and even the phonebook. When a call comes in, the radio sees it and then it mutes.
But there is no sound (microphone and speaker) on the radio. The microphone and speaker on phone keep working like there is no headset
I looked around and found out that microsoft uses a new bluetoothstack in WM6.
This is not compatible anymore with some headsets.
So there are sometimes these kinds of issues.
The best way to solve this is to get an firmware update of your BT headset.
I also found this alternative:
Change the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sys\COD
from:
5898764(Decimal) "Telephone (Smartphone)" (default)
to
5374476(Decimal) "Normal phone"
For me, this didn't work, because I couldn't get it to pair with the 5374476 value.
I changed it back and the I could pair fine, sadly with the same result.
Bluetooth problems
I also have some troubles concerning bluetooth and my handsfree kit. I also tried to change the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sys\COD settings but it didn't help.
I cannot make a phonecall using my carkit (Parrot CK3100). It does mute the radio, but the phone conversation is still on the phone.
I have one workaround. .... When I use my GPS receiver and software actively, I CAN make a conversation by using the carkit....strangely.
But then the GPS stops during the conversation.
None of these problems are present when I use WM5, all WM6 and above ROMS have these problems..... Anyone?
Downgrading is not an option to me
Quite a while ago I bought a Sony BT3600U car stero as it was bluetooth enabled so I could stream music from my Kaiser direct to the car speakers.
All was working well until I moved the car stereo to my new car.
Now although it's all paired up fine when I turn on the car stero it just links to the handsfree bluetooth but doesn't automatically go to wireless stereo.
Instead to get the wireless stereo to work I have to go into bluetooth settings click on xplode (which is the car stereo) and then choose set as wireless stereo.
I know from before that I managed to get it to automatically switch to wireless stereo when in range of the partnered car stereo but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it.
Does anyone have any clues?
Sounds to me like it's an issue with the stereo, not the Kaiser.
Perhaps try disabling the handsfree service (for that pair) on the Kaiser? I can't remember exactly if you disable certain services.

I have an XCarLink and I have the same behaviour which is a bit annoying. I did a bit of searching a while ago but never got anywhere. If there is an (easy) answer to this I would be interested.
Andy
No it's def not the stereo , i've got it working sort of using A2DP toggle but it's not automatic.
Installed A2DP toggle and linked it to the audio manager on the kaiser.
So I just click the play button on my home screen and it kicks in the wireless stereo and launches the audio manager at the same time and it all works.
It's just annoying as I know that before I moved the stereo from my Honda civic to my hyundai Coupe all I had to do was just start audio manager and the wireless stereo kicked in automatically.
I've seen this too; I have a Sony BT5000 (basically the same as the OP), and I've seen it with both Wizard & Kaiser devices.
A bit more testing - expected behaviour?
I went out in the car earlier and had to do the 'set as wireless stereo' trick to get the BT streaming working with the XCarLink. When I switched off the engine and the head unit powered off the headset icon disappeared from the phone (which is normal) indicating there was no connection. I then left the car but left the bluetooth enabled on the phone instead of switching it off as I normally do. When I returned and drove off the partnership was re-established and the headset icon re-appeared and I was able to stream music etc without doing the 'set as wireless stereo' trick.
I tested this a couple of times and the behaviour was the same - i.e. leave BT enabled on the phone but switch on/off the XCarLink (car kit) and the partnership re-establishes each time with Wireless Stereo working. Switch BT off and then back on on the phone and you have to manually select Wireless Stereo.
Is this the expected behaviour or is there a trick to getting this working seamlessly?
Andy
That didnt' work for me. I even did a hard reset on my phone to see if there was something I had installed causing it not to relink.
If I had any hair, i'd be pulling it out by now
It's so frustrating knowing that I had worked it out once before but when it comes to the crunch you can't remember for the life of you how you did it.
Well i've been searching for an answer and found this here

There is a very simple fix to enable the Pioneer to recognise and connect to your phone. You see the Pioneer is searching for a phone or a Smartphone, the Trinity identifies itself as a PPC and so the Pioneer ignores it.
The Class of Device or CoD must be changed so that the Trinity identifies itself as either a phone or Smartphone.
If you change the Dword Data value in.... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\SY S\COD"
to 5374476 (decimal) and set bluetooth to discoverable in your Trin, you should find that it connects automatically.
It took me 8 months to find this out.
PS. I don't have the problem with not hearing the callers.

But it didn't work for me - on the plus side though I did find a really cool mortscript from the same guy which when I plug the kaiser into my car cradle/charger it recognises the car stereo (but doesn't set to "wireless stereo" and automatically loads up my media player
My search continues
EDIT: Ok found that once the initial partnership for wireless stereo is done, if I turn off the radio and turn it back on again, the partnership is lost as usual until I press channel 6 (pause) on my head unit and then it comes back on.
