Stop programmes loading after soft reset - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

Hi i hope someone can help i have recently brought an xda2i off ebay and when ever i change the battery or have to restart the device i get a load of software loading up. Which is annoying and was wondering if i can just delete it out of the startup folder, the software is call NX and it also loads the bluetooth software at the same time

You might want to try a program called MemMaid that has a function to set which programs start up upon boot.

Recovering a dead "Alpine" from a failed rom upgra

Hi guys, I couldnt find the solution to this in the forums so I thought I would contribute my own.
A few moments ago I ran a rom upgrade to to get rid of the O2 rubbish in an effort to fix my TT5 SatNav/Phone problems. However, half way through, my computer crashed. I soon discoverd that the pda was dead (would not load past the O2 screen even after a hard reset) and ActiveSync couldnt see a connection to re-run the upgrade again.
Solution:
1) Hard reset the pda with the addition of also pressing the navigation key. The PDA screen will go black and say 'Serial'.
2) Run the upgrade software again for whichever rom you choose.
Sorted!!!

Contact tab donĀ“t open

Hi to everyone,
I have a problem with my diamond. Since yesterday when i try to open the contact tab in the touchflow it don't open. Instead of open i get the following message: "Opening touch flow 3D" , and than nothing appears and goes back to the main menu.
Can anyone help me? I tried to restart, soft reset and set the default theme ( my actually is sprint) and nothing work.!!!!
I really don't want to do a hard-reset!
Thanks!!
No one...?!
I've never had that problem before. If you can't wait for someone to relate to your experience and to try to get u help...........then my suggestion is to hard reset your device.
Perhaps it's the best solution. Just save everything on your pc and/or use PPCPimBackup to get you back up. Just remember not to save your system components as you might be bring in the problem again.

M2D not starting on phone restart

A strange thing is happening to my phone....
when i restart my phone it shows launching touch flo...
but it never starts....
I get it working when I format the phone but it again fails to start when I load the contacts & messages from PIM backup
using original ROM version 1.35
Hi there,
i having the similar problem.
mine VIVA(aka OPAL) cannot be launched. it always show "touch flo launching" but somehow it shows no reponses. After hard reset, it will back to normal.
hope any masters from forum could help up as i not willing 2 hard reset every encounter this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Dear all OPAL user,
After research on this issue, i had found the root cause for this problem.
This problem caused by the restoration of backup message from backup pim.
for my case, my backup has 2000++ messages, when i tried to restore them to the VIVA that i had just refresh the rom. Then the M2D will reflect freaky damn slow. at last, i realized that M2D couldn't be loaded due to the 2000++ messages.
Conclusion: delete unwanted messages occassionally, it will relief some heavy loading for message display in M2D.
Good luck guys.
